This place is good for a group to just and eat appetizer.

This place is good for a group to just chat and eat appetizer. I wish the place had more food options. It is a good atmosphere. The staff is super nice and very attentive. The price is a little high, but the appetizer is really good so worth it.

Rainy Sunday makes for a nice opportunity for a cocktail!

Great Service, amazing views, and an Awesome selection of spirits! Food selection is limited, but the options are tasty. The seasoned waffle fries are bomb! You gotta try this place if you are staying at the Armory. Cheers

Located at the top of the Kimpton Hotel in Bozeman, this rooftop bar is a gem. They offer small plates if you are hungry . We had 1 app and some cocktails and watched the sunset. It was great. And service was very good considering how busy it got. Would definitely recommend this spot.

Quality drinks in a modern and chic interior. $$$ and wish the outdoor area was a bit more spacious for our big group we came out with. Overall didn't fit the vibe we were going for.

This place has incredible views and I'm always happy to pay a little extra for a great view! The service was a underwhelming- when we arrived, we waited by the empty host stand for several minutes before giving up and trying to grab a seat at the bar. A server cut us off to tell us we had to wait for a hostess and she finally showed up. We were seated and our table server was absolutely delightful. However I felt awful for the table next to us (guests of the hotel) who had to wait over 20 minutes for someone to clean their table and take their drink order. Half of them gave up because it was taking so long. Dessert was nothing special. But if you're just looking for a great view for a drink, this place is worth checking out for sunset.

We had a wonderful experience here while staying at the hotel. A few small plates and a few more drinks AND that view made for an excellent evening in Bozeman. We also had great service. Would recommend.

We were staying at the Kimpton Armory and decided to pop upstairs to the rooftop bar which has nice indoor-outdoor dining area. The outdoor couches/tables were taken so we snagged the corner table and enjoyed beautiful sunset views. The menu is comfort food and we ordered the grilled cheese & tomato Basil soup as well as the pork belly sliders. Both were tasty. My only feedback is that while the hostess did seat us, it was at least 15 - 20 minutes for anyone to acknowledge us despite being one of a few table occupied in the restaurant and several servers standing around talking. Once the server finally acknowledged us, she was attentive and we received good service. Best views up on the rooftop of downtown Bozeman!

We have visited the Sky Shed several times, views are unbelievable, seasonal drinks are fantastic and service is on par with their drink selection. But if I had one disappointment were the food options, either overcooked, undercooked or just lacking flavor (even salt), I'd say they need a chef or maybe kitchen staff...but can't give more than 3 stars when food is not even recommended.

This rooftop bar at the Kimpton Armory hotel has a nice atmosphere. One side had lounge seating, the main area was bar seating, and lastly there is an outdoor patio (which I wish I was able to enjoy, but it rained while I was there). Nonetheless, it had good vibes. It wasn't busy on a Sunday night. Drinks, food, and service was great!

I'll I'll Be Your Huckleberry & Backcountry Board with a great view
Megan L.

I made a reservation, arrived a little early and was sat immediately. Unfortunately, I waited about 12-15 minutes before a waitress came to get my drink order. I ordered a "I'll Be Your Huckleberry"- it was okay, nothing spectacular for a cocktail. I moved to a better table in the corner by the windows just in time to watch the sun set- gorgeous. I ordered a "Backcountry Board" which was good. The huckleberry & goat cheese crostini was my favorite.

A blurry pic of the cool window with a view.

We sat at the bar and had some elk meatballs and trout dip which were amazing. So while the food and drinks were very good the service was almost offensive. The 4 or 5 waitstaff that we saw were constantly talking about the other guests in the restaurant. I get that other guests we're sitting at the fire pit (which apparently costs &500 to just sit there!) without a reservation but I don't need to hear about during my entire visit. Ironically the bartender who was good told us where we shouldn't go in Bozeman. Overall the views were incredible if you were lucky enough to snag one of the outside tables at sunset. Just know your bill will come back with a $500 charge if you sit at one of those a coveted fire pit seats.

Views for days!!! I'm always on the hunt for rootop bars, and Sky Shed fit the bill! It's located on the 9th floor of the Kimpton hotel. There is ample street parking around and a garage nearby. It's spring in Montana, so as far as weather, anything goes! It's sunny, it's cloudy, it's raining, it's snowing... But on this particular visit, it did all but snow (thankfully). I was able to sit outside and enjoy the views for a bit, before it started to get windy. Service can use some help, but I was ok with that, since my focus was on the views. I had a couple of glasses of their Rose and ordered their loco moco for dinner. It was not a typical Hawaiian loco moco, which is understandable, but it was pretty good. It had a Hawaiian beef patty, mushroom gravy, sunny side up egg , and furikake on top of a veggie fried rice. Tons of flavor and tons of texture from the fried rice. Since I wasn't super hungry, I didn't order any more items. I am curious enough about some other things on their menu to wander back in again. I hope the weather cooperates the next time I'm in town!

Food : meat balls and chocolate cake were 10/10 amazing! Service: we were staying at the hotel and wanted to try this place for Christmas dinner. They were packed we didn't get a reservation and were out on the wait list at 4 didn't get a spot until 8pm but were told they had staff walk out and were short handed they were still pleasant and quick! Ambiance : the views speak for themselves! The pictures don't do it justice They also have great non alcoholic options as well

Spacious couches and lounge areas mixed with bar seating and smaller high top tables makes this a great spot for groups big or small. Can't imagine any circumstance where a party wouldn't feel welcome here or appreciate the layout. Service was great - all the bartenders dress "on brand" and able to make suggestions while ensuring our drinks stayed as full as we wanted them too (but also totally good with us just being low key) Pro tip: They allegedly have the best grilled cheese and tomato soup in Bozeman, so guess I'll have to go back for that. One downside? They need to change their name! I can NEVER remember it and neither can my friends. Makes it less memorable in a spot that would otherwise be high on the list!

We were immediately greeted and sat at the bar. We ordered an old fashion and Huckleberry Lemon Drop (recommend both). Honestly, I don't think it matters what you order...it's going to be good. I hate to compare but it's crazy how different two places can be in the same hotel. The service here was abysmal. We came at the end of someone's set and it wasn't that crowded in the bar but almost every single table was dirty, with empty glasses on them. There seemed to be one bartender and another person helping. That person literally just stood there talking to people instead of cleaning up the tables. The bartender was pretty rude too and didn't seem to be into working here at all. The only clean table was by the door and it kept getting opened while the next band set up so we just moved to a table with dirty glassware on it. The drinks were pretty lackluster (especially compared to the awesome ones upstairs). I don't think it was that the menu was inferior to the other, I just think the bartender didn't care. Both my drinks were watered down and icy. Pretty sad for the price to be honest. It got pretty crowded for the second set being played so we decided to leave to let other people sit. I wasn't interested in having another icy sad drink.

She made it feel like we were regulars and I loved that. And the cocktails? Superb. Absolutely incredible, every single one of them. And that coconut lime rickey? The pepitas with the pistachio butter and beets were excellent, and the burrata added a creamy touch. We also tried the frites and fondue. The fries were thick and browned how I like them, but the fondue wasn't my favorite and was a little too overpowering in flavor for my taste. The parmesan on top of the fries was a nice touch. For beverages I had a local pale ale from Bridger brewing that was crisp and went well with the meal, and my partner tried the rotations shrub (peach), which she said was just okay.
