An odd thing about me is that I do not like burgers. For some reason, I just never enjoyed them or craved one before. BUT... This place has changed that for me. I was hanging out with a friend and we wanted to go to a different restaurant, but the line was severely long and I was on a time crunch. We looked online and my friend said what about Sky Rocket Burger? We both have never been, but I remember that my work best friend mentioned it to me once. Didn't expect much to be honest since I don't really care for burgers. It wasn't busy, so we got our food fast. The service is nice and simple along with the ambiance. Very chill. Food wise, it's very simple. However, after taking the first bite, that burger was truly the best burger I've ever had. It's a simple, yet amazing burger. I really did enjoy each bite. Definitely recommend!
Definitely the best burger in the Dallas area. And the price on these bad boys are really cheap even thought the taste is phenomenal. Don't be discouraged if you see it being crowded and long lines. The line moves quickly and the patrons here are so sweet and considerate. I didn't know they hand smash the patties here. And the burgers themselves are SO FRIGGN good especially because they're made fresh to order. Personally I love the vibe here because it feels really homey and nostalgic like the good old days when things were more simple. The only danger here is you'll become a regular and need to buy new pants. Enjoy your meal of happiness!
Back at my favorite burger joint. Easy to order at the walk up counter and they deliver to your table. I was lucky to get a parking spot up front this time. Cool decor. The owners are great and come to the table to make sure all is good.
Ambiance: It's a pretty small restaurant, but there was enough seating during dinner time. The noise level was moderate, and the vibes felt homey. The customer service was really good as well! Fries: The large size was definitely enough to share with three people. The fries were light, airy, and had a nice crisp without being soggy. Sky Rocket Fries: These were decent. It's an off-menu item similar to animal-style fries. The fries are topped with Sky Rocket sauce, melted cheese, and grilled onion bits. There was a bit too much sauce for my taste, but the flavor was still good. Single Cheeseburger: The portion and price were both great. The burger was full of flavor, and the toppings were fresh. I liked the mayo along with the Sky Rocket sauce. This is a very solid and classic-tasting burger.
These fresh, handmade smashburgers are outrageously good! My wife had the single with grilled onions, lettuce, tomatoes, pickles and mustard. I had the same but with cheddar cheese. Deeee-lish!!! The fries, seemingly hand-cut potatoes with the peels on, were excellent, too. Both had just the right amount of seasoning. The vibe is neighborhood family burger joint with Scott (I think) at the register as friendly as can be with new customers and regulars alike. Bottom line, we'll be regulars now, too!
Possibly some of the BEST burgers in the area. The place in general is pretty hidden, small, and cozy, but don't let that fool you. The staff are exceptionally sweet and helpful. The food? Insanely fresh and delicious. From the crunchy vegetables to fresh ground beef and hand cut fries you can tell every single item is made with love. There is not a single thing on the menu that i wouldn't recommend. There is no burger in the area as good as these!
This places does amazing burgers and everything is cooked to order so you will always get fresh food. There are many location located in the DFW so definitely try them out if you love a good burger. The menu is simple here and they keep it easy with the normal toppings you would find on a burger. They have a special sauce they add to the burgers that really elevates the of taste of the burger.
I've heard so many good things about this place, I had to finally try it. I had a burger with two patties, two slices of cheese, bacon, and grilled onions. It came with lettuce, mayo, secret sauce, and pickles. The patties are smash-burger patties, well seasoned and juicy. It was definitely one of the best burgers I've had in the area and I couldn't put it down until it was gone. We also had chili cheese fries, which were good as well. Staff was friendly and helpful. Definitely worth a stop.
I was searching for a really good burger and I kinda have been for a while. I found skyrocket Burger online on my search. A lot of people recommended it, so I wanted to come and try it out. The staff is really nice. They were very warm and very friendly. I got a burger with cheese and fries. My food came out really quick and everything was nice and hot. It was really good.

I've been craving burgers for about a week and reviewed so many burger lists, including my own that I started years ago. There are so many choices: Do I want a classic backyard burger, a compact smash burger, a fancy burger with goat cheese foam? After Ms. Semhar suggested Sky Rocket and I watched several videos on TikTok, I knew I had found a winner. Ugh, it was so good! My big back ordered the double with cheese, jalapenos, onion, spicy mayo, lettuce and tomato. And then I had the audacity to order large cheese fries. I have no critique, honestly. It's a simple burger, yet everything was seasoned so well. And not only that, but usually the lettuce, tomato and onion, while necessary, become a messy nuisance and end up falling out at some point. They dice the onions into small pieces and thinly slice the tomato. Truly a tasty masterpiece. The fries were all crispy but I'd probably just get the regular fries next time because the cheese hardens pretty quickly and I was too focus on the burger. And as many people have mentioned, the woman working there was so incredibly sweet to every single customer. She even offered me extra peppers. This location is the original, which was cool, but please note that there are some differences between this location and the other ones. They do not sell milkshakes here or have ranch. BUT, they don't charge extra for the add ons, like jalapeños, grilled onions, spicy mayo, etc. I believe the only thing that's extra is if you get an egg or bacon. To me, that's a win.
Feb 14 - National Love Day: Seven years since our first Sky Rocket burger, and as always, these burgers, fries & friendly service was as impressive as ever! Burgers are freshly ground, grilled to a juicy perfection, tasty & wonderfully messy -- and the fries are way too good. What's not to love?

Delicious! It's been a while since I've had a burger this good. The single with cheese hit the spot. Glad you provide a roll of paper towels at each table. The burgers can be a bit messy (in a good way). And thank you to the very friendly staff that made the experience super enjoyable. I will be back! read more

If you want a wonderful burger this is the place to go. It hits every mark on what a delicious burger should be. I had the double cheeseburger and the cheese fries. There is a crispiness to the patties that elevates this burger from just a fast food burger. It has fresh topping. Yum yum yum. The workers are also nice and very helpful. Easily one the best burgers in town!! You know a place is confident when they have a simple menu. You get the option of how many patties, cheese, and a few topping choices. Not saying that there aren't condiments and sides but this place is a pure beautiful burger shop. Definitely would recommend. The staff is super friendly and service is quick. If you're craving a delicious burger, visit Sky Rocket! The place is your no frills kind of mom/pop place. It gets busy, so be prepared to park on the grassy area of the parking lot, and wait for a table (especially if you have a group larger than 4). This restaurant is counter served, but the lady working at the counter was super nice! Everything was absolutely delicious! Do not get greedy and order every and any sauce & roping to accompany your burger since they are complementary- it might end up tasting overwhelming (one of our friends did that and was disappointed in his burger). Anyway, the fries were hand cut and delicious, and the burgers were great! I loved the old fashion sodas they had as well! read more

August 2023 To go order placed right after 8. They close at 9. I wanted to like it but won't return to this location. Parking is shared in a small parking lot with other businesses. There is a smoke shop right beside it. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side. This one is the original location. There is another location in deep Ellum and I believe one is in the Frisco area. Staff is very nice. I loved the cashier. The gentleman, who I believe a customer said was the owner, was busy at work, making sure orders were taken care of. $36.04 for two burgers a large fry and two bottled water. The double was $10-11 by itself. Fries are a la carte- drink as well. We placed a to go order, because it was a tight fit inside and later we were glad we did because it was a little warm....and the line was right beside the table we chose to sit and wait at. I ordered a double cheeseburger and bottled water. She ordered a grilled cheese, add a patty, add bacon, add grilled onion. She couldn't get mayo added on, since this wasn't technically a burger, so she got a side of mayo and a side of the secret sauce, both an extra charge. The large fry was definitely enough to split between two people,...it may have been $4. I didn't finish my burger. Was a little disappointed. I truly believe that the taste of the bread overpowered the burger. I ate the meat by itself, and it was decent, but the bread's sesame seed was stronger than most, and the bun was SLATHERED with butter. Now do not get me wrong: I LOVE a good toasted bun. But this was too much. I didn't want to taste an overload of butter in each bite. The burger itself was quite greasy, as well. But that with the combo of butter was too much for me. The fries were mid- we didn't finish them. The grilled cheese, she said she wouldn't have to have it again. I will give it another try- possibly.... Maybe.... in Deep Ellum. It won't be anytime soon. Walked in and they were packed. I'm happy to see that. When I stayed in Plano a few years ago I think they had just opened and it wasn't as busy. Customer service is very good. They greet you with a smile most times. Burgers are made when you order. Not a fancy burger joint but it's a nice place to come eat. read more

I've lost count of how many people have suggested I get a burger here or have asked if we've ever gotten a burger here. Fine, I finally said. We're getting a Sky Rocket burger and that's all there is to it. Yes, it's inconveniently far from home and work. Yes, it's a challenge to get out of the easily accessed parking lot to go back home. But once you bite into your burger those issues fall away. This is a GOOD burger. Really good. Worth driving to burger. Quit your whining and enjoy it burger. No shakes at this location. It's the OG and sticks to the menu basics. read more

I've been waiting to try this place out forever, but their schedules never match up with mine. They're closed on Sunday & Monday, which is when I'm typically in the area. Luckily, I had time to drop by on a Saturday to try them out! My boyfriend has been raving about this place for MONTHS, claiming it's his favorite burger in Dallas. After my visit, I can agree with him! The restaurant doesn't look like much, but we all know how looks can be quite deceiving. The workers are super friendly, and the menu is simple. You order your burgers (junior, single, double, or triple patties), add your free or premium toppings, a side of fries, and a drink. This isn't your typical fancy burgers, but something simple, like back in the 2000s. I got two single hamburgers, two fries, and a drink for $22. The place was popping when I dropped by. Despite them being busy, the burger came out in 10 mins, and the number of fries was no joke. They REALLY filled my fries basket, but I'm not complaining. They serve old classic sodas, along with some jalapenos for your burger. The house sauce was pretty good, and biting in that freshly grilled burger brings me back to my elementary days. The hand-cut fries were yummy as well. It seems like most of their customers are local, and they visit frequently. While eating, the owner checked each table to ensure we were doing great and managed some conversations with frequent customers. Take some time and drop by, you won't regret it! read more

We came by here for the first time .. this is a MUST YRY !! Hole in the wall - you know are the best !! Everything the menu says they live up to it !! The only thing i would recommend is get the secret sauce on the side ....the sauce is a different flavor especially if it's your first time .....but the flavoring of the patties has a very tasty flavor ....midway eating the burger the burger was warm to eat .. tater tots are very crunchy VERY ORIGINAL OLD BURGERS !! read more

Kind of a hole in the wall, but their burgers are amazing. Easily my favorite burgers in Dallas, and probably a top 5 spot in my life. Their onion rings and fries were also extremely crispy. read more

This was one of many stops on our dallas trip that came highly recommended. Located in a strip mall right next to a gas station, the outside is very unassuming. Atmosphere: inside is pleasant and about what you would expect from a hole in a wall burger joint. Food: Double Cheeseburger Add Bacon and pickled Jalapenos - toppings were excellent worth the upcharge for sure. The bun was soft pillowy and tasted great as well, Cheese right on point what you would want ooey gooey. The meat is where i felt the flavor lacked a bit just not enough seasoning for me, you can tell the quality of the meat is there it just needed a bit more. Fries - Better fries then these places tend to normally have, tasted fresh and the oil didn't taste old. Smaller Menu as it should have no issue here Sauce Tip: Ranch is a must, they do charge .50 Drinks: I completely dislike this brand of "real sugar" soda they have this all over california as well.. give me coke or pepsi over this anyday... Thankfully they offer a mexican coke bottle for purchase as well.. Price: honestly a bit pricey, everything seems to be rising in costs. All said and done you're in for burger fries and a drink at $20.00 which might be a bit much. Parking: pretty small lot as its a strip mall, we go lucky to find a spot. Small, unassuming burger joint on the borders of Richardson and Plano. Brought the family in for a quick bite since no one had ever been here before. I had my eyes on those juicy burgers for a while. Fortunately for us there was no wait time as others mentioned. We were able to just go right up to the counter and order. The cashier was patient and helped walk my family through everything. My grandma mistook the ketchup at the counter for hand sanitizer and got it all over herself LOL anyway this place checks all the boxes and is a must try! read more
Great old fashioned burgers. Good quality ingredients. Clean and inviting place (though at first it looks suspect from the outside). Friendly and helpful owner and staff. I grew up in DFW but live in Seattle now. As an avid backpacker, this place reminds me of the four or five burger place scattered around WA State (mostly in smaller towns) that we stop at after being out in the mountains for several days. Very similar, great tasting, well made, nothing fancy, hunger satisfying, lip licking goodness. Oh, and the fries and sauces were also very good. This is my favorite burger place ever. The owner is so friendly, and you can just tell they care about their customers. Every time I've visited, there hasn't been a wait, but I've seen reviews that mention a lunch/dinner rush. The restaurant itself is small and simple, but it's honestly the perfect setting for the amazing food that they serve. You can customize your burger to your liking with free toppings (onions, jalapeños, etc.)! We got the double burger this time, and like always, it was perfect. The burger is HOT when it comes out and crispy in the right places. Genuinely one of my favorite burger places I've ever been to! The food is beyond amazing. read more

Down right good old classic burgers. Nothing fancy about this place and that's one of the things I love about it. Literally hidden behind a gas station, easy to pass up but if you do, you'll regret it! I got the classic burger(one patty) and my husband got the two patty burger. Burgers were AMAZING!! Great flavor and their hand cut fries were the perfect pairing. Now I see why they are rated so well and continue to be one of the top rated burgers in Dallas! Keep it up Skyrocket!! read more
