These guys did an excellent job moving us from Austin to San Antonio. Courteous, careful and did the job they promised. I got a flat rate which made me more comfortable. I had 2 guys- one of the guys seemed in training and looked like he was going to fall over and took numerous breaks to smoke. However, the stand out was Austin. He was the bomb. Once they got to San Antonio, they were able to get another guy to help- I don't know if Austin realized they would basically be there all night with his one helper as there were 2 flight of stairs. The guy from SA was Juan 2.0-awesome as well!! We have 2 more storage units in Austin and will request Austin again. Leave the other guy at home and get Juan 2.0 to help! read more

TERRIBLE SERVICE! The movers showed up three hours late and damaged my bed frame and antique dresser. It took over three months to have someone come back and fix my bed; however, my dresser was never addressed. Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I was ignored for two more months. Last week I got a check in the mail for $50, which will do NOTHING for this antique dresser. I guess they have a sense of humor, because they offered 5% off my next move. Not a chance! It's hard to write this review, there were 2 movers came to do the job. One of them was very professional, quickly, organized. But the other one, he was very slow, unprofessional, he seemed like he was not feeling well. The good mover moved 5 furniture down to the truck, the slow one was sitting on the floor to unplug my TV set for 30 minutes. SUPERB MOVING COMPANY NEVER LOOKING ANY WHERE ELSE AGAIN! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!! Communication -Called the operator and everything was quick and easy. I had reserved my elevator @GablesParkTower (Downtown, Austin) for a 1pm move time and when the day came they we're right on time. They called when they were almost done and again when they were on their way. VERY professional/positive energy. When I say positive energy I'm referring to their customer service: GREAT! You can tell they take pride in there work. Labor/Strength/Quickness - Immediately I knew that I picked the right movers (I've picked a terrible one here in Austin months ago before I had moved into the Gables) He warned me that they run when they don't have furniture in their hands which was true. They move with great purpose. They also wrap everything. Every part of my bed frame was wrapped in its entirety. My couches were perfectly wrapped and not even an inch shown. I've had an issue with other movers and had stains and tears all over my furniture so this was VERY pleasant and I didn't even think to ask (they did it on their own). Not to mention Austin (the main guy who was on the job) started the timer when they were actually moving the furniture. Make sure you get him!!! Transporting -They were very fast and didn't waste anytime getting to my other unit and made sure that didn't take up much of the two hours I had bought. Everything was in tip top shape! So all in all you can tell I love this moving company. I don't write reviews often and from past experiences I KNOW how much it means to have splendid movers!!! We were so lucky to have Austin and Dwyane move us from our two bedroom, second floor apartment into a one bedroom, third floor apartment. The contents of our apartment include approximately 100 pairs of shoes (my partner is something of a sneaker head), boxes and boxes of books (he's also wrapping up a PhD in journalism), two large televisions and a bunch of irreplaceable vintage chairs. Both gentlemen were patient, professional and wonderfully unflappable. As an example of their casual, low key greatness, we had intended to transport both televisions and an assortment of other somewhat delicate crap in our vehicle and hadn't packed up those items. They packed all of those items up for us, using their own tarp and tape and handled these delicate items seemingly without a second thought. My partner and myself have moved quite frequently and have come to expect a certain amount of damage and wear and tear. This is absolutely the first time I've moved where nothing was broken. Nothing was even scratched! I would hire these guys again tomorrow if I needed to! (And I might. The new apartment management is thus far making me want to move! I've moved a lot over the years, I have always hired movers because I hate to bother friends with helping me move. These guys were really great. Usually I like to have someone around when I'm moving, but my boyfriend was busy moving too so I had them meet me at my place alone. They were super respectful, very mindful that I was alone with them. They were kind, polite and actually kind of hilarious. Not only did I feel safe around them, they were also very careful with my things and everything that I own was very safe with them. They were efficient, they were fast but not reckless with their speed. They were careful, they really went above and beyond making sure furniture and fragile pieces were well wrapped and handled with care as to not break anything or get anything dirty. They took my furniture apart, and then put it back together. My move was made so much easier thanks to these guys. I really appreciated Austin even telling me about the 15 minute break that they took and not charging us for those 15 min. It was a really big move and I'm actually surprised that's the only break they needed. They didn't leave until everything was exactly where I wanted it, and everything was as it should be. Easy to book with personable and professional customer service; offered extras like helping with packing; took things apart for storage and put things back together like my closet doors; didn't charge for wrapping and had back up supplies just in case. Nothing against the guys who helped me move, but the company back office is THE WORST!!! The guys broke a couple items (it happens) and my move was delayed because even though the mover, Austin, made my appointment for the 1st the back office made a mistake and I didn't move out of my storage unit until the 2nd which cost me. All in, I asked the back office to adjust my bill by $60 and we would be good. They said fine. Then I get a barrage of calls demanding their payment without the adjustment. Then Tanya calls me on a Sunday still demanding the payment saying that all calls are recorded so there is no way they would have made a mistake. I tell her for the third time - the appointment was made in the truck - you're telling me that the conversation in the truck was recorded?? She repeated herself, interrupted me and kept giving me the same robotic answer and then because I was getting upset started laughing at me! Psycho!!! She doesn't address the broken items AT ALL - just ignores me when I ask her about that repeating that all calls are recorded. She then threatens me with coming to my door to collect payment - that I have on recording!! What is really psychotic is she says this as though this were the most normal thing in the world! They made the mistakes and are somehow incapable of admitting it. I know they are desperate to break into the Austin market. Let's not let that happen!!! Let's keep that California company out of here! We don't need any more rude Californians messing with Texas!! The movers were good but the company lied to me about the quote I paid way more than expected and the company never called me back. They said travel costs would be included but they charge you for travel plus the time it took them to travel. Since we moved outside the city the cost was higher than anticipated. They are polite, helpful, quick, very careful, pleasant and work with a can do attitude that makes moving day way less stressful.
