I'd like to start by saying Tiffany is a really nice person, super easy to like and get along with- her location is convenient (free parking), and is nicely decorated. That being said she is the only employee at Skin so Fancy which makes it really difficult to get in for a waxing appointment as her schedule is so limited due to her demand as a make-up artist. It can also be a little difficult to get in touch with her to schedule and appointment. I also felt that although the first wax was great, she began to slip on every wax there after- i.e. many hairs left at end of waxing, not a clean wax, areas missed all together, request made and not remembered. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact that the waxing room space is quite small and the table is only accessible from two sides, or if it's a lighting issue, or a time issue, or vision issue/ memory issue. She does seem really knowledgeable so I don't think that is the problem. I think one of her biggest problems is that tiffany is trying to do everything for this business and maybe needs to get some more support staff. So due to the lack of availability and inability to get all hair off / a clean wax for a full Brazilian I can only give 3 stars. read more

Tiffany is an absolute angel. This was only my second time waxing, and my first experience at a different place wasn't great. I just think waxing is super painful and not really my thing BUT Tiffany made my experience so much better. Skin so Fancy is such a cute boutique. I went there one evening after work for a facial and I was pleasantly surprised. Tiffany (the owner behind this chic boutique) was very welcoming. The décor was uber cute, and she had gum balls for me to eat (I'm obsessed with gum balls). There was this beautiful mirror with a silver frame on one wall where she does makeup. I don't know where she got it, but it was a perfect addition to her hot pink and teal accents. Okay okay, enough about the decorations, and on to the facial!! AMAZING.. She used great products for my face and left it looking clean and black head free! The only downfall I have is that I wish it were longer. An hour was just not enough; it just kept me wanting more. I was super-impressed with Tiffany, who is very much a goddess of waxing as everyone else here can attest to. She was friendly, personable, talkative (in a really good way), welcoming...everything you could possibly want in someone who has your brows in their hands! And speaking of brows, she did an incredible job. I came from another business (which I may have to review here on Yelp for contrast) that absolutely murdered my brows, but Tiffany waltzed in there and made them look good as new again -- probably better! She was careful and gentle; I never felt like I was being rushed. I, too, have been blessed with not-so-sightly body hair. As such, I need to help myself as much as I can, especially in the ladies department. Although Long Beach can be a drive at times, I am glad I found Skin So Fancy. Tiffany always makes the waxing experience as quick and pain-free as she can, given the task at hand. She has these funny Chicken Little glasses that make me laugh and I think the gumballs are there to chew on while I grit my teeth. Either way, the experience is unforgettable and her place is nicely decorated. Her attention to detail is evidenced through her use of sugar after the main waxing to get all the hairs. Oh, and I even got to eat some of the sugar she uses to get the little stubborn hairs. Just ask her, she'll give you a taste. Seriously, it's good. But make sure you taste it before it has all your hairs in it.
