Let me start off with the actual waxing results were typical and not bad at all. The customer service is what I am rating. It could have been this person was having an off day, and/or maybe they just weren't feeling it, but man she was just terrible. As someone who did not wax regularly, I was seeking an establishment where I can go regularly. I was looking for a small business owned location (wanted to avoid places like European wax center etc) because it is extremely important for me to support small businesses, especially if they are owned by women, especially if they are WOC. I won't go into every detail of my experience, but will note that though it has been some time since I visited, the experience stayed with me. In summation, I was belittled during my session and felt uncomfortable during the entire exchange. She practically berated me for not waxing regularly, had an attitude about me wanting a strip of hair (was told verbatim she was no designer lol I wasn't asking for a star on my crotch just a regular ol' strip) and just got negative energy and attitude overall, I think especially since each waxing strip really hurt and she did nothing to make me feel at ease, if anything it seemed like it annoyed her (I didn't scream or move but you can visibly tell it hurt me) So this review is really for those of us that never waxed regularly and part of the reason why is because of estheticians like her. This was also the first time I didn't leave a tip to anyone (I always tip even when the service is shitty just because I feel bad) but I'm so happy I didn't because she was even more pissed at the end lol after she received my payment via 3rd party app. Thankfully I didn't let that experience deter me from my waxing journey. I have since found an esthetician where I regularly wax (every 5-6 weeks) and couldn't be happier.I'm sure this won't hurt her at all given her obvious loyal base of clients, but as mentioned, this is really for the newbies looking for an esthetician! read more
