On my day off recently, I decided to try lunch here. The restaurant is super clean and pretty and everyone was friendly and helpful. I was seated immediately and I started looking at the menu, I knew I wanted a Turkey Ruben sandwich and the skillet potatoes as my side. Omg those potatoes were soooo good, kind of reminiscent of potatoes gratin, creamy and comforting. The turkey Ruben was good, and I was only able to finish half of it so I took the other half and a little of the potatoes home for another time. Service was excellent and the manager even came over to explain why my sandwich was taking a little while, he accidentally dropped it so they were making another one. I would definitely come back to try other items and they open early so I could pick up food to bring to work if I wanted. Recommend stopping by! read more

I visited skillet for the first time today :) I actually falsely like this place and I would definitely visit it again for breakfast!!! The atmosphere is nice! I came with a party of 4 (including me, and there was a toddler who was counted as the 4th, she loved her kids meal :) and it was nice for her) the breakfast and lunch place is a nice place to sit down, eat and catch up. Service is nice as well. The food was good, the only reason why I gave it 4 stars is because I felt like the hash browns were not fresh and felt oddly taste. Other than that, everything was fine. I wouldn't go for the hash browns anymore though, maybe a sub for potato pancakes :) would visit again. read more

First time here and not impressed with service. Our appetizer didn't come, our sides didn't come and we had to ask multiple times for things because our waitress was never around. Never checked about refills until we paid the bill or if we needed syrup or condiments. Food was good and ambiance was ok. Staff spent a lot of time shouting across the room at each other which I found really unprofessional. They seemed super disorganized for a Sunday brunch that was not overly jammed. I had lunch yesterday at Skillets in Boca Raton. I ordered the club sandwich. The inside of the sandwich was very space with I call shreds of turkey. It looks like the shavings on the bottom of the slicer were put inside the sandwich and pushed to the front of the bread to make it look like it's full of nicely sliced turkey pieces. I don't usually complain as I'm not that tore of person. This should be corrected to please the customers.. as a $15.00 sandwich with coffee and tip it was more than $20.00 value is not acceptable to me. read more

Listen I hope there's a skillets in spirit land serving sunrise Benedict's w these biscuits because if there's not I don't want to leave here I'm stayin. If you pass up the chance to eat a sunrise Benedict w their fresh biscuit then seek help because there's definitely something wrong w you. Service is good and ambiance is good. But if you get something other than meat from the griddle I am surprised that they don't get it. A good example is I had blintzes ad you can taste anything that was an the griddle before. It happened to me with a cheese omelet today. Pancakes the same. I don't get why they do not get it with all the experience they have. read more

The food here is excellent -- everything is delicious and fresh. But I never had anything "healthy" -- just soul-satisfying breakfast cuisine, like oatmeal and grits. My husband once had the skillet and didn't love it, but since then he is sticking to the usual yummy fare like pancakes. One pancake is enough for a meal! The service is good, not amazing, but you need a little patience and they seem to get the order perfectly right. The food is fresh tasting and nice and hot. Diet all week and then come here for your culinary reward. Everything is expensive everywhere, but here you don't get a total shock when the check arrives. I love to go out for breakfast, so I was really excited to try . The restaurant ambience is friendly and inviting. They have a huge menu with both breakfast and lunch options. Since we were there pretty late, I opted for a Reuben sandwich while my friend ordered the breakfast quesadilla. She also ordered a gluten-free pancake on the side. The server was super outgoing and friendly, so no complaints there. My Ruben however, was not so great. The cheese was not melted and the sauerkraut barely present. It did not come with thousand island dressing so I had to ask for that. I also asked for extra sauerkraut and when I received it, it was ice cold. Figuring it was not gonna get any better I went ahead and ate half the sandwich as it was. I do have to say the sweet potato fries were very good though. My friend really enjoyed her breakfast quesadilla and the gluten-free pancake too. It's nice that they had gluten-free options for those that can't eat it. The waiter raved about the scones so I ordered a blueberry scone which also was a bit disappointing. It was rather bland, so I don't think I would get another one for the four dollars they charged me. Overall, even though the dishes I ordered we're not my favorite they do have a big enough menu that I would go back again because the restaurant was nice and the service was good. The only reason I give 5 stars is because of the young lady at front (hostess) and because food is always on point. I ordered a breakfast to go. The young lady that took my order over the phone was very pleasant and made sure she accommodated my request. When I went in to get my food, I asked her if I could add an extra biscuit to my order. As she went to pack up my food , I overheard the manager (Paula I believe is her name) lady with dirty blonde hair, yelling at her why she put 4 butter in my order since I only ordered 1 biscuit ... and yelling at her making sure she charges me for the second biscuit. I'm sorry that if NO WAY to speak to your employees. I am a frequent diner and this lady ALWAYS disrespects her staff whenever I am there. She shouldn't be a manager. We frequently go to Skillets for brunch/lunch. Food is good, prices are reasonable and service is usually fine. Today we had a strange experience. My wife ordered a single pancake but when the order came there were two. We mentioned this to the waiter and he actually came out with a plate and took one back. Skillets popped up in our breakfast for the first time today. The parking lot is a little dicey to navigate. There's one row of parking in front of the entrance but additional parking is in the general shopping plaza which is separated by a two way street. Luckily we got a spot up front. If you're looking for country style diner decor, Skillets has enough wood to retire a Beaver. Good spot for families and parties of all ages. The service was great! The coffee is exceptional and they leave the pot at your table for easy refills. They have a vast and diverse menu to satisfy any patron. Be mindful they close daily at 2:30, but offer breakfast, lunch and brunch on Sundays. Mom got her typical waffle with eggs over easy and sausage links. They offer chicken sausage but mom went with the standard pork. The waffle is a flower shaped and very soft. Not a Belgium style waffle at all. I went with breakfast burrito, in my attempts to find an acceptable Florida version. Unfortunately nothing will compare to California breakfast burritos. Skillets' version was a 6 of 10. Their Chipotle sized burrito with eggs, ham, bacon and sausage was topped with their sausage gravy and served with a side of potatoes. The gravy was missing something that we couldn't put our finger on, but it got the job done. This is our new favorite breakfast restaurant! Everything tastes homemade and they have unique items that set them apart from their competitors. We have only tried their breakfast items, but their lunch items sound equally interesting. They recently opened and are doing great out of the gate. read more

Our waitress was very nice. The food was very good. The problem was we couldn't enjoy it because the manager was behind the bar complaining about everything and yelling at staff. She didn't seem to care that people were actually trying to eat. We were thinking she would stop, but she didn't. We felt bad for the staff. Two stars with potential for five. And man, I had high hopes for this place. Just seemed like a cozy, fun brunch spot with a ridiculously expansive menu. But it's just not there yet. I went on Sunday with my family of five. One member of the family had been several times before and noted that every time she's been, there had been a problem with someone's order. This Skillets is just two months old, so it is not unreasonable for there to be some small issues. Here were the issues we had: - 20 minute wait for a table when several tables were empty. - Frustrated manager who told my wife he was "dealing with a situation" when all she asked was for outside seating (the manager later apologized). - A wobbly table that the manager tried to fix but ultimately I had to slide sugar packets under the base. - Four of our five orders were prepared properly but two came without extra dressings or sauces we asked for. The food was just OK. I liked my omelet, my wife finished her small salad, my son didn't like his sandwich, his girlfriend liked her sandwich, my daughter didn't love her breakfast fruit bowl. The big hit was the chocolate milk served in frozen mugs. Service was over-the-top nice. Maybe to a fault. And also kinda slow. I am positive I will come back to Skillets one day, but it might be in like eight months when they have their bearings and aren't overwhelmed. read more

I don't know where to begin with these meals we had. The pancakes tasted like bread. The omelettes looked and tasted like mush. We ordered the Mediterranean omelette and the south of the border omelette. I ordered potatoes on the side and they were hash browns coated in buttermilk which weren't terrible but that's not what I asked for. Total disappointment! Ordered pecan encrusted French toast for myself and the apple almond French toast for my husband. Both were 10.00 per plate. The platters arrived and wow what a disappointment to see my husband's platter had two very small slices of bread and didn't look so great. Gave him half of mine or he would have been starving. Mine was nothing to write home about. For the price you would expect at least 4 slices per platter. Should have taken photos but I usually take photos when it looks fantastic. OMGOSH The bacon avocado skillet is out of this world! Service was great, food was pretty, just the way I like it, the bacon is thick smokehouse high-quality and cooked to perfection. Hours are 7:00am to 2:30pm so don't show up for dinner. Food was done to perfection. We were served nice sized portions and they were reasonably priced. Service was extremely slow. We arrived after 9:00am which was the cutoff for the discounted breakfast specials. We would have expected the dining room to be less crowded but it wasn't. It took a good 20 minutes to get our food. The star of Skillets was its cleanliness. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. I witness employees following the CAYGO (Clean As You Go) policy.
