First time in to this Boca Breakfast/Lunch restaurant for a hearty Breakfast. Friendly staff and spacious interior with plenty of counter, table and booth seating. We chose a window booth and looked at all of the combination and specials. I went with the Two Egg, Bacon, Grits and biscuit special, (choice of biscuit, scones, muffin or toast). My eggs were perfectly done as per my request. Thick perfect crispy applewood bacon and yummy grits. The jams on the table were top notch, one of my favorites was the Blackberry. As we were eating I saw a large crow fish out one of the blackberry jams from one of the outside tables for his own breakfast. (The early bird gets the worm, but the Smart ones get delicious jam) Great choice brother crow! They close at 3pm and have closing specials the closer to closing time it gets. Overall a great experience with our service and food. One of the few times we haven't had to send something back to the kitchen for correction.

We might have been the youngest people here when we stopped by for lunch, except for the kids who were visiting their grandparents. But we still had a good experience. The restaurant is on the east side of the shopping center which is a quite busy place. There are a lot of businesses and other restaurants nearby. We were able to find a parking place right out front luckily. We were greeted on entering and taken to a table near the window. They also have some booths along one wall. In the other room, there's even a counter. The menu has both a breakfast side and a lunch side. All options were available. And on the table was a promo for a specially priced late lunch for those who come after 1 pm. My husband chose to have their two egg platter. He opted for grits, and a biscuit with well-done bacon. He said everything was good, although the biscuit was a little harder and drier than expected. He add a liberal amount of butter and blackberry jam to the biscuit. I chose their BLT sandwich on white toast. They had a half sandwich for a lesser price and as I wasn't that hungry, I went with the smaller portion. Crispy lettuce and ripe tomato slices along with wonderful thick bacon cooked well done. The bacon was excellent. And I had them put the mayo on the side. Along with a pickle spear, I elected to have a potato pancake. The pancake turned out to be hashbrowns with scallions formed into a patty and fried. I liked it anyway. We'd eaten once before at one of these Florida restaurants on the west coast of Florida, but it was quite some time ago. It's a small chain, but now that we've tried them again, I would look for other locations nearby. Based on this experience, I'd say it's a good option for an inexpensive diner style meal for breakfast or lunch.

I wish Boca had more restaurants like Skillets - causal, welcoming, convenient. The interior is brightly lit and paneled with wood and filled with homey decor. Skillets fills the traditional breakfast/lunch space held by restaurants like Denny's and IHOP. I was welcomed straightaway and was thrilled to be offered a small pot of coffee. I ordered the bacon avocado omelet, which came with a side of fruit and a scone - more than enough for a meal. The fruit was fresh, but the omelet was overcooked, hence the three-star rating. Worth a visit if you are in the neighborhood, but not the kind of place you would go out of your way to dine at.

This place is excellent. The service is great and the food is on point. The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was the perfect slice, and the orange juice and mimosas were both amazing!

Ample parking, clean dining room, brand new with a nice happy atmosphere! Great service, quick friendly and courteous by Jeane , she's the BEST! A nice menu with some good variety from breakfast food to sandwiches. Good portions, reasonable prices, different choices of type of bread for toast. The coffee was fresh and plentiful. We will be back!

I've been to a skillets in Naples and enjoyed it. Friends of ours took us to this location and it didn't disappoint. Everything was delicious bit the scones and the bacon were exceptional. If you get a chance, stop in. You won't be sorry.

Showed up on a raining day pretty much right as they opened, and just sitting inside helped warm us up. Our waiter helped us navigate the long menu and told us some of the most popular items. Everything was delicious and very fresh. The crepes were nice and light in flavor and paired perfectly with the fresh fruit. Their potatoes are interesting and made to be between a hash brown and mashed potatoes. It's definitely something to try, but it may not be everyone's favorite. We washed it all down with some orange juice in frosted glasses. Overall, I'd come back to Skillets as I also want to try their lunch menu.

This skillets location is the best we've had! The people are always so nice. Scarlet, one of the employees, greeted us with scones while we were waiting - never before seen in Boca Korey was our waiter and he was soooooooooooo kind and accommodating. I literally come back to this location for the excellent customer service. And the food is great too! I am gluten free and they have great options for me and my non-GF boyfriend. Thanks skillets (& scarlet & Korey!)

I'd give it 4.5 stars but there's not a half star available. I had the ham and cheese omelet with grits and biscuit. It was delicious. Grits were soft and creamy... Really good. High praise from a southerner. Service was prompt and coffee really good Quite "Woody" atmosphere and diner ambiance. Overall, I really enjoyed it. I dinged half a star for price-it's expensive. My plate was $15

Skillets is a chain of casual breakfast and lunch restaurants founded by Ross and Noreen Edlund in Naples in 1995. According to the Edlund's "Our mission has always focused on preparing homemade, delicious, and nutritious breakfasts and lunches from scratch. We are committed to providing top-notch, friendly, and efficient service in an inviting and comfortable surrounding." There are now 17 restaurants including this one in Boca Raton. Skillets has a country theme with homey light wood floors, booths, and tables, and counter with stools. The wall is decorated with pictures of the food. They also have a covered outdoor patio which seemed to be dog friendly. The menu includes hearty dishes with eggs, waffles, French toast, pancakes, crepes, blintzes, and the egg and meat skillets that gives the restaurant its name for breakfast and panini and sandwiches, salads, and wraps for lunch. On this visit I ordered the cranberry pecan waffle served with house made orange syrup along with a side of potatoes and bacon. The food is tasty and filling and reasonably priced. I once ate here with a vegetarian friend and it was easy for him to find something from their varied menu. If you are looking for a quick and filling breakfast or lunch, this is a solid option in south Boca.

I kept reading about how Huey Magoo's had really amazing chicken and I've been wanting to stop by forever. I should say that I don't usually get chicken tenders that are breaded and fried I go with the grilled, and I usually go to Chick-fil-A to get it. They do a really good job. But I was definitely curious to see what Huey Magoo's was all about. So I stopped by with my kid on Thursday after school. I got three grilled tenders and fries. It was about 10 bucks for everything. I cant begin to tell you what a disappointment the food was. The tenders seemed microwaved and reheated. They were dry af, extremely tough hard to cut through and very chewy. It was completely disgusting. Also, my fries were lukewarm and I didn't really love the seasoning blend they used. After a few bites I knew that I was going to throw the entire thing in the garbage which I did. Luckily my kid was a good sport and we went over to Chick-fil-A to cleanse the palate so to speak. I don't know what the hype is all about, but I definitely do not see it. "Filet Mignon of Chicken"? Don't think so guys.

No greeting let alone acknowledgement once we came through the door and there were only two customers already sitting inside so it's not like it is busy. Hi, I'm Glenn and I'm a mexican cuisine addict…read more... and I found my new place to get my fix... For years I have frequented a couple of local mexican restaurants; they were/are good but my eyes have been opened to Casa Tequila. Let me tell you what makes my appreciation of Casa Tequila... I have really enjoyed the other mexican restaurants we were going to for the past couple decades but the issue always come up when my wife and I travel to Mexico and enjoy authentic mexican food; arriving back at our local spots became a let-down because they were serving very americanized dishes (flooded with too much cheese and loads of unnecessary sauce. Casa Tequila is serving much more along the lines of what we have enjoyed in our many visits to various regions of Mexico; great balanced flavors and a menu with plenty of options. I don't normally go for the burritos but these burritos are the real deal (AND THEY ARE HUGE so come hungry)... try the "SUPER BURRITO" or the "ASADA BURRITO"; I've tried a bunch but these are the two I keep re-ordering. Recently I tried their "FAJITA TRIO" (fajitas with steak, chicken and shrimps)... it's a lot of food but leftovers always taste great the next day. Personally, we love sitting at the bar; the bartenders are amazing at making fresh margaritas (we always ask every mexican place to not use a pre-made mix... Casa Tequila hits the spot with amazing margaritas); although I normally have their flavored iced tea.

I ONLY REVIEW NACHOS…read more I came in expecting a Mexican restaurant to nail nachos. That's a reasonable expectation. Boy was I wrong. The Grande Nachos arrived in a ceramic dish so nuclear hot I couldn't touch it. By the time it cooled enough to eat, the cheese had souped itself across the entire plate and sealed every chip underneath in a molten tomb. The shredded beef was actually good. That's the tragedy. Good ingredients, catastrophic execution. The refried beans -- listed on the menu, credit for that -- were the murder weapon. Beans plus nuclear heat plus oily cheese plus ceramic dish equals guaranteed chip annihilation. What was left underneath wasn't chips. It was soggy, near liquid mush. The Fork Rule was violated immediately. I left feeling like my gut had survived a blitzkrieg. I went straight to Packy's just to forget what I'd eaten. This isn't a nacho. It's a deconstructed burrito in a ceramic dish. Someone didn't get the memo. 2/10 on the Florida Nacho Man scale. 1/5 stars on Yelp. Full review with photos at floridanachoman.substack.com
