The food is delicious, healthy and very very costly. They charge for EVERYTHING. What hospitality? What cleanliness??What enthusiasm?? No greeting let alone acknowledgement once we came through the door and there were only two customers already sitting inside so it's not like it is busy. The floors were unclean, and we did not know how to order since no one welcomed us nor came to our tables with menus. So we asked them how does this work and they told us to come to the front where the menus were. Pathetic. The language barrier was so bad that it took a long time to place orders. Then once the food was prepared, we found it sitting on the counter for us to grab ourselves. Wow. When the 3rd plate was ready, THAT'S when they brought it to our table. There was such a lack of hospitality that one of our girls adamantly stood at the front to wait for her order so that she could bring it to the table herself. But guess what? When it was time to close, they were suddenly quick to help take all of the plates. One last person came to join us and she received absolutely no acknowledgement as she came through the door. We had to tell her that she needed to go up front for a menu to order. The menu choices are already extremely expensive, but finding a place that's unwelcoming, dirty even during low traffic, employees with a strong language barrier and who are on their phones as paying customers walk in is such a slap in the face. I gotta pay you an arm and leg just to serve myself???? Unacceptable. I was so turned off and upset. This is my first and last time stepping foot in this backwards place. read more

This place provides good fresh food and some great desserts. My only complaint is that it is a bit pricey for quick service food. But it is definitely quality food that you get. So it is somewhat understandable for what they charge. I just wouldn't come here a lot. But I am a huge fan of their desserts and specifically their carrot cake is fantastic. The staff is very kind and friendly, and I appreciate how attentive they are. When I placed my order, it was ready within five minutes of me, placing it. I was hungry and in need of healthy eats. I was happy they now have a half wrap and salad special. I ordered my fave, the Liv wrap (gluten free) and Green Goodess salad. Very delicious. Service was a bit slow, which seemed to be the norm at all the locations I've been to. One thing I would change is a pesky fly that buzzed around the restaurant. What a great little café. Order two coffees and sat outside and the service was amazing. Besides making a nice little heart in my coffee frost the staff was overwhelmingly, considerate, friendly, and willing to serve. A patiently waited by the coffee bar to pick up my coffee and they pretty much insisted to sit back and relax, and I'll bring it to me, and I only do they bring it to me, but they brought all the condiments with it the place was very clean, well lit and friendly, and I love the fact that many groups had separate conversations going. I love carrot express! The food is healthy, delicious, and always on point here. This location in particular is directly next to Starbucks in the Promenade plaza. This location is clean and very suitable for a quick lunch or sit down meal. The service is fast and helpful. My usual go to order is a Chicken Caesar wrap but I also enjoy their sweet potato with chicken salad or poke bowl. For the poke bowl you have the option of ahi tuna or Scottish salmon. I also recommend the Almond Joy Shake. This shake is made with almond milk, almond butter, coconut flakes, banana, and honey. It is absolutely divine. My husband and I drive by this little gem constantly and we always sit there wondering "What is that place?" Well, I decided to take them up on a buy one get one on Uber eats. Probably one of my favorite places now for chicken wraps. We ordered a wrap called the legal and me and my husband were blown away. We finally said "Well wow now we know!" I recently visited Carrot Express and was pleasantly surprised. I am a little shocked at how many negative reviews it received and I will say this made me a little nervous about attending. I figured I'd try it out at least once and make my own assessment. So here's how it went. We walked in after a workout and the lady cashier greeted us immediately. We told her it was our first time and she made several recommendations on what to try and each dish sounded better than the next. We ended up ordering a turkey burger, bbq chicken platter, side of hummus and a smoothie. The burger had a choice of side and I really wanted to try tostones but they were out of them so I opted for the green goddess salad. All of these items totaled to nearly $50 which I can agree is pretty hefty price tag for a casual dining experience. The other downside is that the food does take some time but I believe because it's made fresh. The chicken platter looked like a home cooked meal to me. We did get our hummus first, which was excellent, and that held us over until we got the rest our order. Everything I tried was delicious and amazingly fresh! The turkey burger was served on a multi seed bread topped with avocado and greens and at first did seem a tad small but since it was paired with other dense ingredients it did the trick to make me feel satisfied. The green goddess salad was perfection! It was the perfect balance of arugula, kale, avocado and dressing. The last thing I tried was the strawberry passion smoothie and I was blown away and how yummy this smoothie was. I typically like my smoothies really cold but not thick and this was the perfect texture for me. It was more like a slushy than a creamy smoothie and I'm here for that! The service was also top-notch, which is why I don't hesitate to give my experience 5 stars. I do frequent this area a lot and hope that this will be a consistent experience and not just a first timers luck. I got the pesto chicken bowl - which was ecstatic - the crunch and crisp in this salad coupled with the sauce it's totally to die for !!! Freaking amazing . Portion was also excellent since some places pile tons of rice without the goods ... not this place !!!! . Wife had the poke bowl with raw tuna - and by far the best poke bowl I have ever had in my life ---- EXPLOSION of flavors , the sauce is spot on for this bowl , and the raw tuna was delish !!!! .
