KC is one of the most knowledgeable and informative people I've met in the sport of skiing. My wife and I went in to get 3 pairs of boots fitted and molded and it was a great process. We learned about the why behind some of our gear choices and left with perfectly fitting boots. Life is too short to have hurting feet on the slopes. Great customer service and superb work. I brought in 2 pairs of skis that I'd abused pretty shamelessly and got them back in pristine condition. Perfectly flat bases, seamless patches, and sharp and smooth edges. They took the time to ask about my skiing and what kind of tune I wanted in my edges. They turned them around quickly and the price was reasonable. When I went back to pick them up, KC walked right over to the rack, picked up both my pairs of skis and handed them to me, calling me by name, after I'd been in there just once. If I could give 10 out of 5 that still is not enough for the great job Ski and Boot Lab has done for me! I have been coming to see KC since he opened. He always did great work for my boys and me. This year though KC showed me his true colors. In the middle of the busy holiday season I was having issues with a new pair of boots I bought. He recommended a good short term fix by letting me rent a pair of larger boots while I got mine stretched. Within a day my skis were adjusted. I went skiing for the week. My boots got stretched and KC quickly adjusted my skis back to the original settings. Until this year I did not know that KC sells his demo gear as well. Overall excellent work, fastest I've seen, and most reasonable prices. I'm a back country/tree snowboarder so I regularly have core shots on my board, and KC did the best job I've seen in less than 2 days. He charged a little over half of what Christy sports and normal board shops charge, and was extremely quick to respond on yelp message. Really happy to have a good local ski shop to support. The owner, I didn't catch his name, said he had been in the industry for about 24 years and just started the company. The shop looks great, giving the customer a good visualization of the ins and outs of the operation and a real comfort knowing how their gear is going to be handled. The skis were ready in 24 hours and the tune was great. I previously visited a larger chain and they were taking more than a week to return skis, as a weekend warrior I really can't wait that long, especially if snow is in the forecast. KC is super friendly and knowledgeable! I was having trouble with the fit of my ski boot and having a lot of discomfort in the toe area. He took his time evaluating what was causing the issue and making adjustments to my boots while giving TONS of helpful advice about how to prevent it in the future. I bought some new Marker Bindings from an internet retailer. Unfortunately, I had two other ski shops tell me they did not have the binding jig to mount the new bindings. I took them to KC at the Ski & Boot Lab. He looked through his jigs and did not have the correct template. However, he had me leave everything with him and he said he would contact the Marker rep and buy the jig that was required. It took some time to get the jig shipped in but he kept me up to date throughout the process. I got my skis back with the new bindings mounted and they look terrific. I was very impressed with KC and his excellent customer service. I will definitely take my skis back to him for tune ups and any other needs. I highly recommend the Ski & Boot Lab. read more
