This location is hard to get to but you know it's here since it is visible from Arapahoe Road. If you are first timer, Google direction is recommended. This place has a small store front but has a larger back area. I was looking to get my board tuned but the website didn't mention this. When I was checking thru the new and demo models, owner (?) came over and explained the setup, including demo boards at 30% to 40% off. $50 for complete tuning too. Second time in. Impressed again! Last year was a random visit to check out used skis as a beginner/intermediate. I ended up purchasing a new pair of skis with bindings at a discount. Went in again today with my son and daughter. Same person helped us. My receipt said Ian - he was super patient, knowledgeable, and willing to help find the exact fit/style/gear we were looking for. Service is amazing! My friend and I came to this place for our first time buying snowboarding gear. They are super helpful and attentive with answering all of our questions and concerns. They also show you how to utilize the bindings and adjust them on the board. They got a wide variety of used equipment for those that are wanting to do winter activities on a budget. We got a good deal on both our set ups and are super excited to put it into work. Their snow jackets and pants are kind of sparse and not much variety in terms of sizes in a style you want, but it's not really the place you'd go to for clothing. Overall: Never owned ski gear and received a thorough walkthrough of what I needed and how it should fit. Great one-stop shop for newbies who don't want to spend the time searching for used gear online. Can't speak for tenured snow sport people. Experience: Very helpful place. The owner's husband and one of his staff members helped me find ski boots, poles, a helmet, and beginner skis. They tried to find the lowest priced ones that fit my level and size - and it all matched. That was a nice surprise for them to take that into consideration when I didn't expect everything to match since I'd be getting mostly used gear. They tested my gear for safety before I checked out. Cost: I spent about $563 total (versus $1k+ if I bought new) that'll last me a few years. Space: Small but lots of gear crammed in on the walls and the few aisles. Repair shop in the back right. I walked in as a newb so the choices were already overwhelming for me. Gear: If you're a newbie like me, this is a great place to get gear on a budget, save time on research, and have personalized shopping assistance. You can certainly find cheaper gear on Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace if you know what you want but I'd rather save time in this instance. -Tecnica Snow boots white: $119. Good condition with signs of wear. -K2 Luv RX 17 149cm white & mint: $249. Good condition with signs of wear. -Pole US Scott MJ White 115: $85. New condition. Spent more on poles than I needed to, but the price difference was $10-15. I was already there and didn't want to search elsewhere. -Smith Holt Matte Bermuda Medium helmet: $75. New in box. Comparable price to Amazon. -Ski goggles: Did not buy. Very few choices. It's difficult to find "Asian fit" goggles that don't fog up since I have a low nose bridge and high cheekbones. read more

Stopped in after reading reviews on our way to Beaver to kill some time before our check in time. A lot of new and used gear at good prices. The young man who helped us was not the most knowledgeable or seemed not super interested in us so we did a lot of googling while in the store. We were still able to determine what we needed and felt like we got a great deal on one pair of new and one pair of used skis. After the horrible experiences I've had with ski shops since I moved to Denver, Outabounds was a refreshing and helpful change of pace. Not only are you greeted when you walk in, the staff actually listens to what you're looking for. The guy that helped me find ski boots on Tuesday afternoon was very personable and patient with my silly questions. The other two guys in the shop offered advice as well. I skied in them yesterday and they are perfect. I got them for half of what I would have paid for them at full retail. I would definitely recommend this shop over others in town. Fantastic family owned and run ski and board shop and well worth the visit! As a family of four and natives of Colorado, we have been on the slopes nearly every season since birth! Now our kids are riding the edges with us. That being said, the kids are growing like weeds and the cost of rentals was killing us. We found Outabounds Ski and Board and purchased equipment for the kids at a fraction of what we have spent at Epic (local big box store). On Monday we went in, my daughter got fitted by the sales person Brody and within an hour we had boots and skis sized, bindings adjusted and the skis tuned. I had bought a pair of new ski boots in August 2020 from Outabounds, and one of the buckles broke a few months later. Thankfully, after contacting Outabounds and speaking with Marie (the owner), I found it was under the 1 year manufacturer's warranty! The process went seamlessly - the company of the boot sent the part to Outabounds and I dropped off my broken boot for fixing. Mark, the mechanic, was incredibly knowledgeable and fixed the boot quickly. I was then notified when it was ready for pick up. From buying the boots to the fix the situation, I was treated with professional service and knowledgeable staff. I could not have asked for a better service and friendlier staff. I had a great experience here! Everybody in the shop was extremely kind, personable, and knowledgeable. Preston helped me with a snowboard setup. Tyler (or maybe it was Tanner, I'm not quite sure) helped my children with new skis and boots. The female cashier was also very kind. They didn't have the absolute best selection I've ever seen; however, it's mid-late March, so that's to be expected. We got exactly what we wanted and needed, and we were met with stellar service. The prices were great and the selection was still more than adequate. My only minor gripe is that the store is a little disorganized (ie a few boots on the floor and skis set up near the front desk). They were super busy, so I'm sure the store isn't normally like this. The location is also not the greatest, but again, I'm nitpicking. read more

Lauren was super helpful in making sure that you get the right equipment for whatever level of skier or rider that you are. The prices there are also great if you're looking for a place to get used equipment that is in solid condition. They also do ski and snowboard sharpening and waxing if you are ever in need to get a quick tune up. I bought my daughter skis, they were relatively inexpensive (for skis), but definitely worn many times before. The staff was not eager to help us, took two women before us, that arrived after. Also, the man behind the counter was cursing for unknown reasons, and my kids were definitely interested in what he was saying. Overall, I have had better experiences. I think if you know what you want, this place is fine. If you need any help, especially with kids' gear, try somewhere else. read more

As soon as you go to the back of the store there is plenty of product to choose from. Will is super knowledgeable when it comes to snowboarding and set me up quickly with everything I needed. What a great experience! We had been on the hunt for tiny snowboards for our 2 and 4 year olds, and we found Outabounds!
