The staff was awesome - they really helped us find what we were looking for. The store is really well organized and they have a little bit of everything. I also liked that they had new products so we could decide if we wanted old or new. Pricing seemed all over the place though - some of the stuff felt like a great deal and some felt too expensive, but it's probably in the eye of the beholder to a certain extent. I've heard a lot about Play it Again Sports in the LA area but never went. I've heard good things about their deals on disc golf discs. I was glad to find one close to where I was staying in Aurora I decided to check it out. It's a nice store with lots of different sporting goods equipment. I was there specifically looking for disc golf discs. It's a nice store. Well organized and they have a great variety of sporting equipment, particularly team sports. For not being a disc golf specialty store they have a pretty good selection of new discs. The prices are on the high end of retail pricing. I'd heard they had reasonable prices but I can easily find new discs for less elsewhere. They also sell used discs. They had about 50 or so, mostly low-end plastic, for $7.99 and premium plastic for $12.99. That's only a couple bucks less than a brand new disc. I was bummed that many of the used discs had people's names and phone numbers clearly written on them. I'm guessing some people that find discs or fish them out of ponds resell them to Play it Again Sports. It just doesn't settle well with me that Play it Again Sports sells discs with people's contact information on them or even the people that found them just resell them. Yes, some people do call and many say, "Just keep the disc." Hopefully, that's the case with the used discs at Play it Again Sports. And yes, I'm sure many people just go there and sell their own discs they no longer use, too...and that's totally cool that they have a place to sell them. I've attached a few pictures for examples. I wiped out part of the phone numbers to protect the original disc owner's privacy. If you lost your disc, maybe you can go buy it back at Play it Again Sports. read more

Having such a positive experience at another Play it Again (Castle Rock), I was stoked to find this one so close to my house. However, 15 minutes in the place made we running for the door. First off, the store is packed to gills, making it impossible to move around. I actually got stuck a couple times and had to backtrack to get out of the mess. Then there is the service, what a joke! We tried to sell roller derby skates and they turned us away without a second look (Castle Rock took them). Then we tried to find some Men's left handed golf clubs - we got a chuckle from a couple clerks and told, "good luck we probably don't have any". Really? Then they walked away, no help, no service, just crap (we got some at the Castle Rock store). Apparently if you are a pee wee football player (there were lots of them in there) or male right hand golfer this is your place, all else go somewhere else. Incredibly disappointed!!! read more

One of the best places to find inexpensive sports equipment.Last year, I joined a school wrestling team for the first time.I was looking for some wrestling shoes and sure enough I found some in my size for only $60.Wrestling shoes are usually about $80-$110!The equipment is so inexpensive because most are used, yet you can still find inexpensive new equipment. The variety is great too!They sell ski, soccer, lacrosse, baseball, football, and volleyball equipment too!There's many colors too! Overall , I would highly recommend this place for athletes just joining a team. read more

Walked in here the other day after having a good experience at another Play It Again and finding that this one was much closer to our house. Horrible experience. Small and cramped inside. Very little selection. I was looking for some left handed golf clubs and when the clerks asked if we needed any help they kind of laughed at me and walked away. Two different ones did that. Came in to try and size my son up for a new sport - Lacrosse. We had done some initial research online bbt wanted to try things on in person to get a right fit. Mike came back and helped us find the right gear we'd need in the right sizes. He even informed of some of the rules/requirements for league play regarding the gear. We're a hockey family and we've been to Play-It-Again before for ice hockey gear and received similar service and attention. I have always come to this Play It Again Sports for all my essential ice and roller hockey, baseball and lacrosse gear. Among the numerous places (like Foothills, Ice Ranch, South Suburban and Family Sports Center) I've been to over the 10 1/2 years I have lived in Aurora, this is the only location I would trust for a perfect skate sharpening every time. I came in on Monday evening looking for a new Faceoff head for lacrosse and the employee Dan was extremely helpful. and found me a brand new STX Duel 2. He was extremely friendly and kind and offered to string the stick for $10. And called us today we came to come pick it up and he showed us exactly what he did how to adjust if we need it to and overall was just a great help to finding a new head if you have any questions regarding lacrosse in any degree I highly recommend him. read more

Shopped here for used golf equipment for years,, but recently bought a new Xterra ($799) treadmill. "Whats wrong with it?" I asked them "Why is it here?" - "Nothing" I was told "It's brand new. Still in the box" Set it up and it would not work. It would run for 10 minutes and then crash (turn off). Worked with Xterra and their warranty to get repairman out. A month later, he tore it apart and fixed no fewer than six critical items - including replacing the circuit board. He wondered if it was a return or recall that Play it Again sold as "new". He said assembly (by me) was perfect. Xterra was great. The repair man from Sports & Rec Techs Inc was fantastic. Play it Again was less than honest. Used stuff? Maybe. New stuff? Run away as fast as you can. Also: Years ago we had a garage sale. Selling my daughter's old junior golf clubs. Dude pulled up and gave me a sob story about how he wanted his daughter to play but couldn't afford clubs. I sold them to him at half what I was asking. A week later, stopped in and saw those clubs for sale at 3X what i sold them for, Dude was behind the counter. Beware of these guys! read more

Shopped here years!! Have purchased my kids lax year and football gear here for years! We went in to sell golf clubs and were treated like crap by David! Question where we got the and implied that my son had stolen them! Would not go in to get the guy who would look at them because he was with a customer. What has happened to customer service? If you don't have people skills you should not be working at a job that is based around buying and selling to people. How dare David imply that my son stole golf clubs because we had a lot of them!! My son had cleaned out a client of mine's garage and she said He could have them to try to sell for extra money or donate them it was up to him! So after he was treated disgustingly by David who implied that he had stolen them when really he had worked for them he decided to donate to Goodwill!! So if you like to be treated like a thief this is the place to shop! we needed a foot ball helmet and they were very helpful, did not have the color we needed but they took the time to write the names of four different helmets and directed us to other stores. We got it at Dicks and then came back and they helped with adjustments to make it fit better. got all the other items i needed there and they helped fit my son who is very tall and thin they took the time to get the right fit. We will definitely go back. yes they were very busy when we went in but they let us know they would be there to help in just a few min. I found a great deal on a pair of skis and ski boots. Of course everything is seasonal but I'm always impressed with the amount of used sports stuff they have for sale. We came earlier this year to get a dozen balls for my son's t-ball team. First off, the guy helping didn't know the difference in the numbers on the balls (1, 2, and 3) and he didn't care much to try to find out (later I read online it's the hardness). Although, he did offer us a discount when I told him I was donating them to the team (as the equipment the team had was poor at best).
