I've heard a lot about Play it Again Sports in the LA area but never went. I've heard good things about their deals on disc golf discs. I was glad to find one close to where I was staying in Aurora I decided to check it out. It's a nice store with lots of different sporting goods equipment. I was there specifically looking for disc golf discs. It's a nice store. Well organized and they have a great variety of sporting equipment, particularly team sports. For not being a disc golf specialty store they have a pretty good selection of new discs. The prices are on the high end of retail pricing. I'd heard they had reasonable prices but I can easily find new discs for less elsewhere. They also sell used discs. They had about 50 or so, mostly low-end plastic, for $7.99 and premium plastic for $12.99. That's only a couple bucks less than a brand new disc. I was bummed that many of the used discs had people's names and phone numbers clearly written on them. I'm guessing some people that find discs or fish them out of ponds resell them to Play it Again Sports. It just doesn't settle well with me that Play it Again Sports sells discs with people's contact information on them or even the people that found them just resell them. Yes, some people do call and many say, "Just keep the disc." Hopefully, that's the case with the used discs at Play it Again Sports. And yes, I'm sure many people just go there and sell their own discs they no longer use, too...and that's totally cool that they have a place to sell them. I've attached a few pictures for examples. I wiped out part of the phone numbers to protect the original disc owner's privacy. If you lost your disc, maybe you can go buy it back at Play it Again Sports.

Not a bad store. I sold them my snowboarding gear and felt like I kinda got burned on the deal. At least they took it though. I can't find any other places that will. They've got a good assortment of sporting goods here though none of it really interested me. The guy at the counter was very personable and friendly though so that's a plus

My son just got his first set of lacrosse gear here. The quality and prices were excellent. Colyn helped us, and he was amazing. My son says he wants to work there one day now!

This place rocks. Great inventory and better customer service. Try here before you go big box or brand new.

I had heard about Scheels for years but never stepped inside one. A friend of mine from Minnesota…read moreused to drive past the huge Scheels billboards whenever I visited, and for some reason I assumed it was more of a farm supply type place where people bought machinery and work clothes. Because of that completely wrong assumption, I never bothered to go in. Fast forward a few years and after reading the reviews here in Colorado I finally decided I had to see it for myself. Yesterday, March 6th, the weather was miserable. Cold, windy, light snow and rain. Not the kind of day you want to be outside, let alone skiing. So I figured it was the perfect day to finally give Scheels a try. I ended up spending five hours in the store and taking more than 250 photos, and this place absolutely blew my mind. There were sports and equipment sections I didn't even know existed. The store truly has everything you could possibly need and then some. What impressed me most was the staff. They were knowledgeable and helpful but didn't hover every five seconds like some stores do, which allowed me to really explore and absorb everything. The shoe selection was outstanding with every kind of running shoe, ski boot, work boot and outdoor footwear you could imagine, and the shoe staff were clearly well trained helping customers. I also spent about 45 minutes in the luggage section, which was surprisingly impressive. It's clearly a curated department run by someone who truly understands travel. I spoke with a luggage specialist who I believe is from Asia and a serious world traveler herself. She was incredibly knowledgeable and immediately understood what I meant when I told her I was tired of hard-sided luggage and wanted something built for an active lifestyle. She introduced me to a beautiful 100-liter Patagonia rolling duffel with durable wheels, strong zippers, and soft-sided construction that can actually handle real travel. These types of bags come with lifetime guarantees on the wheels and zippers, and now I'm officially saving my pennies to buy one. The store itself was alive and buzzing with families, couples, hunters, skiers and outdoor enthusiasts everywhere. The only section that felt a little thin was the women's golf apparel where most of the XS sizes were gone, while the men's golf section was very well stocked. Parking was plentiful and easy. Scheels isn't just a sporting goods store. It's an experience.

Sporting goods, beef jerky buffet, and dippin dots what more can a boy ask for…read more I never even heard of this place until I saw all the college kids wearing these strange "scheels" tee shirts at the CSU rams football game and thought, I need to check this place out. Colorado gifts, Denver broncos, nuggets, and avalanche collectibles. Hunting, fishing, guns, ammo, knives, barbecue supplies, a sportsman's dream come true. I was blown away by the customer service, kindness, and kindness professionalism of these owner-operators. I just wish it were a little closer to my house.
