Awesome customer service, I came in to look at snowboards and Tanner the person who was in that department came and greeted me and helped me. He was super patient and answered all of the questions I asked him. They also know there stuff so anyone who wants to buy snow equipment from them, I'd say these are your guys. They'll tell you if a board is good for your riding and they'll tell you if it's not. I learned a lot from these guys especially about rockers and cambered boards. Made an appointment online for a ski boot fitting. Showed up on time and after standing around for 15 minutes and perusing ski boots trying to get someone's attention another walk in guest asked me if I made an appointment because they told her there were no more appointments available. Said, yep mine was 15 minutes ago, no one has acknowledged me and you can have my spot. We both left because it was obvious that it didn't matter if you made an appointment. This is bad customer service and a waste of everyone's time. I bought my ski boots online instead and won't return to Epic Mountain Gear. read more

Garrett helped me pick a new pair of skis and he was incredibly knowledgeable, didn't pressure me to get a certain ski or one that was out of my price range, and best of all he wasn't judgmental about my lack of knowledge about skis. I try to reserve my five stars for the places that go above and beyond expectations. My experience at Epic Mountain Gear in Littleton was exactly that and they have a loyal repeat customer in me. I can have the memory of a goldfish when it comes to names but I believe it was Ryan who set me up with a new set of bindings for my old school board. Super friendly, patient, knowledgeable, and went out of his way to make sure I had quality bindings I'd enjoy. I think it was Randy and another gent who helped me out with a new set of goggles. Had a chance to chat with them as I was picking my bindings and they didn't miss a beat explaining the different options and advantages. No pressure from anyone. Felt more like I was talking with friends who were just passionate about the sport. Gotta give a nod to the ladies checking me out too. Well, that sounds open to interpretation. At the checkout counter? Just as friendly and it was clear this place has a great team across the board. We had an awful experience. We arrived and were supported by a great ski service rep. We had two returns and a credit for ski rental. Four team members were fumbling trying to find the rental record which was tied to my ski passes. Then, the manager of he store jumped in as well. He was very rude and disrespectful. He said he would get a team member to help us. I waited for more than ten minutes and finally went into the back where he was on the phone with a so called client. I asked for the status of a team member to help. Again, he was belligerent, rude and made the comment I just want it my way. He committed to get a rep to help. Therefore, why was he on the phone. He was unprofessional and behavior was like a five year old. He stinker around like an infant. Finally, the original ski rep team member circled back around and gathered my information in a professional manner. He found the rental immediately. The rental team was unable to locate. This was a total cluster and disaster. The manager made it a clear a few times they were short staffed. The way he managed and treated clients and his team doesn't surprise me. I am hire of his name. However, he was Asian with a mustache. The only reason I share the ethnicity if for management to pin down who he is to discuss and train more efficiently. Junior ski program is an scam. They always give you equipment in horrible condition. And always lie to you that that is all they have. And somebody else come for the same size and magically they are able to find another one. Also in really bad condition. Almost the same cost than renting for the season. You are better off going to a reputable store like snohban or castle rick and rent there. read more

Epic Mountain Gear employees in Littleton are the best! Let me tell you why. I am brand new to snowboarding. I purchased this Uber cute snowboarding outfit with matching boots. You'd think I was a pro! After my first day out in my boots, my feet were in the most excruciating pain they had ever felt. I know, you have to break them in. So, I went to get them heated, where I met Logan. I explained the pain that I had while learning to ride. He asked if he could examine my foot. After he examined them, he recommended that I needed footbeds. He went and grabbed a man named Bill who is the "footbed genus". Bill examined my boots and feet, and we found out that I have a tight Achilles and a high arch, and that a footbed wouldn't be beneficial for me. Which saved me $50+! Bill and Logan got together and discussed my situation and Logan immediately said, "I have something for you" and brought out a pair of boots that were much more comfortable. So I needed to switch out my boots. As I'm asking questions about this switch out, Logan had informed me that the manager, Lucas was already aware of the situation (as I wasn't sure if I obtain the receipt) and that we could get everything ironed out. Logan and Bill honestly went above and beyond to ensure I got a great fitting boot, made me aware of the return policy, and just generally had great customer service! When I arrived at the register there was a woman named Ellen helping another customer. The customer wanted to put something on hold and Ellen was so kind with her about needing to put something on hold for a day or two. When I got the to register Ellen greeted me in the most friendliest voice. I explained what I needed done and she called over Lucas the Manager. Lucas, of course was aware of the situation, reiterated the return policy to me, he also told me my exchange would be put on a gift card I could use at any Epic Mountain Gear. Did I mention this was also an hour before closing time? This team is amazing and they deserve recognition for their exceptional customer service! This place is alright. It's not as good as the store located near park Meadows and the staff isn't as nearly as helpful. There's some decent boards and gear. Not a huge selection for women though. Some of the staff is rude and made me feel uncomfortable when trying to get some of my gear fixed. I asked an associate about the new lipstick board I really want and probably would've purchased it that day but he pretty much talked himself straight out of a sale saying he didn't know much about the board and that it was an ok board. For some reason, I never think to come to this place when I need my ski gear. I hit Sniagrab on Thursday as soon as it opened (because I needed to put my 10% coupon to good use!) to buy some new skis. I'm a bargain hunter at heart, and knew I should have shopped around a little more before buying those puppies. Sure enough, I popped into Ski Rex at S&G today on a whim and BAM - there are my skis for $80 less than Sports Authority. I got suckered! (But I did at least check with SA to make sure they price match, and they do.) Some employees happened to be standing nearby when they heard my gasp and assured me that they would also price-match what SA would do (honoring the 10% coupon too), even though they already had the lower price. In the meantime, while I was trying to decide what to do about the skis, I got some hands-on help with helmets even though I didn't end up buying one. I ultimately just got the price match from SA (saving $150 total!) because it seemed easier than taking them back and buying the same thing elsewhere...but I really wanted to buy them from S&G instead just because the service was awesome. I went into epic with my son tonight to trade in his boots & learned that he sized out of the junior program. The woman who helped us first- I didn't get her name but she was very helpful, quick and nice. We then went to try on some new boots and bindings and had a very helpful and nice man named Craig and upon checking out another extremely nice woman. Everyone was seriously so nice and willing to help. As a mom who has no clue about snowboarding and how long certain things are going to fit my son, I didn't feel pressured to just buy the most expensive thing. I felt like any questions my son or I had, Craig answered them with knowledge and honesty. Happily, I was able to pick up my epic ski pass at this location. I was also able to set up Resort charge will allow me to use my ski pass as a credit card without getting my wallet out during days up on the hill where it is excepted. I came in here to get a whole skiing setup and the person who rang me out did a terrible job and messed it up which I thought she did so I asked the manager to double check and make sure everything I bought was rang up and he double checked and said it was so I left 10 days later they charge me 400$ for skis they say they forgot to ring up after I had two people check my order fucking ridiculous then they say it is ready and I come here just for them to say it isn't and have to wait for 20 min while they mount it do not recommend read more

I bought a new pair of Smith goggles here which I wore once and found the ventilation to be inadequate. Upon trying to return I was told because they had been worn they were not returnable. If this is your policy but this should be made very clear at the time purchase. Would not have taken a chance on a $240 pair of goggles had I known. Will be buying gear elsewhere. Bought ski boots here because I heard they have really experienced fitters. My salesman/fitter was a real nice guy, but he didn't fit me correctly - he needs more training. Two days skiing in the boots and had to stop because of the pain. Took boots back to consult with one of their boot fitting experts. Great experience-Bill assisted me, and was extremely detailed. Went back two days later to pick them up - Cliff assisted me, and also couldn't have been more detailed and helpful. It seemed like both of these guys know as much about the foot bone structure as an ortho surgeon. They did a lot of work on them and now are great. Thanks guys! read more
