I brought my hybrid bike to have the tires switched out to a more gravel and trail friendly set. It was a busy Saturday, but I found the service to be very good. Ian helped make sure that I wasn't paying too much for tires and my bike was ready within about a week. I highly recommend this bike shop. I think they do a great job and it's right near my house! read more

I went in wanting one thing and got something completely different because they knew how to ask and address my needs. Not only do I have a new bike but I have the best bike ever they helps me do what I need and I'm so happy! I love this place and coming in July was a great time. They also were very accommodating to my two kiddos which requires patience. Two hours later I was checked out with my new bike! read more

It's all good it's fine. I spent $400 to get my bike tuned up and my bike only cost $1200 but it's all good.

Great place! Mike and staff were really helpful! Thank you for helping me get back on the road team

Don't bother looking elsewhere. Ian and Mike deliver exceptional service. I was tired of going to shops that are looking to sell you something that you don't need. Mike's Bikes have your back every step of the way. read more

Our family bought Trek bikes at Elevation for years. Great service shop, and they always treated us fairly. But our most recent purchase was a child's Public bike. The chain keeps falling off (about once every 1-2 weeks) and then the chain guard is poorly designed so that it requires bike surgery to get the chain back on. We have visited the store 3-4 times now with this same problem, and it just keeps happening. The latest solution is to remove the chain guard, which will allow my daughter to put the chain back on. But that won't stop the chain from frequently falling off. We have asked Mikes to take the bike back as a warranty return, but they won't. The service guys have been great and creative, but their hands seem to be tied by management and corporate policies. Don't buy Public bikes. They look pretty, but they're not functional. And I'd think very carefully about buying from Mikes. read more

So disappointed. I have many many bikes and have spent tens of thousands of dollars on bikes, service, equipment at this store yet I've never received even 5 min of thank you for all of my business. Like the previous reviews, I had a great experience at elevation bikes. I brought one of my bikes in here for service on a battery ; and I believe they may have caused carbon damage (I have never noticed this before and no one in the store noticed it upon inspection). They waited for days to look at it, refused to provide any indication of cost of repair for the original issue, told me to drive an hour away to have them look at the carbon issue and waved me goodbye. Super not helpful. I've had other negative experiences here. They tried to sell my husband into a far more expensive bike than he needed and didn't know I knew something about bikes so I convinced him not to buy - the rationale they were giving him was misleading. This is a far more corporate experience than I've had at other shops. It was convenient to schedule service online but I will no longer take or buy my or my family's bikes or bike equipment there. If I wanted the REI experience I'd go there. read more

The team at Elevation Cycles is friendly, fast and extremely knowledgeable about everything cycling! I came in for a tuneup on an old bike I acquired from a friend. To my surprise, the bike only needed some air in the tires and oil on the chain and I was off to the races. They provided this service at no charge! I was super impressed with the look and general atmosphere of the store was very inviting. If you need any repair, purchase, parts, accessories related to bikes and cycling Elevation Cycles is the place to shop. Thanks for being a great small business in CO!! read more

Walked in and was immediately greeted by Tom. Tom listened to my needs and pointed out what he felt best met them. Long story short, he was right. I ended up buying everything I needed and got a great deal on all the items I bought, including the bike. Again, Tom just would listen and then make very informative suggestions based on what I was telling him, both the pros and the cons, but he never tried to sell me something, just gave me the information I asked for so I could make some educated decisions. GREAT experience, this is my new bike shop! read more

Took my bike in for a bottom bracket replacement and when I got it back there were new scratches in my crank arms... It looks like when they disassembled the BB they dropped one of the arms and scratched it. They didn't care to acknowledge it or offer any fix. Seems like a knowledgeable shop but not happy when I get new scratches from a simple maintenance repair. UPDATE - I went for a ride this morning...the day after I get my bike back...and the bottom bracket started creaking within 5 miles... Not a good experience. Buyer beware. read more

Great service. I brought my wife and I's two MBs in for annual check-up and servicing. Mike checked both out and noted my brakes needed adjusting and my wife's chain was shot along with her rear cassette. Mike suggested the fixes and I asked him to give the bikes an inspection as we will be using them soon. Note our bikes are about $700 bikes so not terribly exciting. They were ready for pickup a few days later. When my wife brought them home I thought they were new bikes. Not only had Mike's Bikes replaced the chain and rear cassette and tuned my brakes, they cleaned the bikes up very well and made some other fine tune adjustments that make these bikes feel ready to take on some gnarly single track. I highly recommend Mike's Bikes for service. read more

I was there to shop for a bike. One employee gave me a hard time because one of my little kids left the door open while using the bathroom. Compared to other stores where a second sales person takes out a paper and a pen or plays with them with rubber ducks (arctic spa) while you are looking to spend 6k plus - it was not the best experience but added to fun of parenthood! read more

Walked in, great greeting very helpful offerings, told them thank you would like to browse for a bit. Found a bike and was ready to buy. Sales person at counter was having a pleasant conversation with an obvious regular. Cool, I'll wait, but 5 min later and only one other person in the shop. Started to walk out and heard "Oh, sir sir" yeah no, went to bicycle Village was in and out with the same bike I'd wanted to purchase from a smaller shop (ya know support local businesses and all) but hey you can do only so much. I laughed as I drove by with my new bike in the back of the truck. Customer service matters, never going store again. Especially when Bike Source is around the corner. read more

Last year, I decided to have work done on my 20 year old Trek. The tech went over the bike with a fine tooth comb. I thought it was going to cost an arm and a leg. The tech said the bike was in great shape and sent me on my way. I appreciate their friendly, honest approach to customer service. SARS-2-CoV is a huge problem this year. Isolation is the watch word. Bike riding, outside and alone, is an acceptable way to get exercise. The tires on my Trek are 21 years old. It was inevitable that I would eventually do something that would cause a tire to fail. I did and my tire was beyond repair. I took the bike to Elevation. The tech was friendly and efficient. She put a new tire on my rim and had me on my way in ten minutes...no up sale, no bs. I highly recommend Elevation - great customer service. read more

I've always been a huge fan of Trek bikes, and in my opinion, Elevation is the best Trek dealer in the state of CO. The staff at Elevation Cycles In Highlands Ranch are incredibly knowledgeable, and they were able to guide me to a bike that fit my needs perfectly! I was a long time customer of Elevation. Many dollars spent on service. I called Mike's this evening asking what I thought was a simple question. Apparently, service is too busy and the guy at the desk tried to help. The guy at the desk doesn't have nearly enough knowledge or passion about biking to answer my question. Not sure I'll be using Mike's beyond the occasional pinch scenario. Good luck, Mike's. Not sure Colorado is ready for your style of service. read more

Elevation is a bit far from my house, but attended an event here as part of Ride the Rockies. Of all of the Ride the Rockies pre-event activities, this was my favorite location. The bike shop employees that presented and answered questions were fabulous. This was the only bike shop that seemed to have women employees that could speak to the unique needs of women (ahem - chamois uniqueness). They seemed to have a great inventory and really nice staff. I bought a few things there and I have recommended several people there that live nearby. read more

This establishment does not answer their phone, nor checks their voicemail messages promptly because as their manager said "We are too busy". This is surprising since I was trying to return their phone call because they had a question. I ended up having to drive back to their store. This was after I was giving them a second chance when on a recent prior visit with another bike, upon their finishing the bike and my giving it back to my grandson, he could not ride it because the new tire was rubbing against the frame and required further adjustments. read more

I had been in a couple times to rent bikes for visiting friends. One day Nadine showed me the Trek Checkpoint and I pre-ordered it. When it arrived I picked it up and booked a fitting a few days later. Nadine did the fitting...wow that woman knows her stuff! Extremely knowledgable and personable. Tricked the bike out for me, got it set up with tubeless and gave me lots of advice on how to keep it running well on tubeless. Its a little further drive for me than the mega stores owned by Vail Resorts but totally worth it! read more

I have been to a number of bike shops, and would go to pedal on bellview, for all of my work. I just moved to the area so I thought I would try this place. I needed a new tube, which is a job typically done in an hour or less. And they typically do it while I wait. After a longish wait, which with covid is understandable, I was told they couldn't do the tube change and I would have to come back tomorrow to pick it up. Looks like my first time is also my last time coming here. Pedal, hopefully, sends it gratitude. read more

Nadine at Highlands Ranch was awesome. I called and ordered 2 bikes at lunch and picked them up later that day. She took her time, helped us pick out everything we needed, explained the warranty and services, and set us up with some great apps to find trails. Brian is a great technician. My boyfriend took the bikes in today to have a quick service to get ready to ride. Just bought a new Santa Cruz bike from Mike's last week. Grant was my sales person and was super helpful. They told me what I needed and didn't try to push things I didn't need. To be honest I was a little disappointed when I originally found out they were no longer Elevation but had a great experience with the staff and will be back in for future needs read more

Had very bad experience with this store. One of the staff member gave incorrect information on the store hours and by the time I reached the shop, someone said it is closed and to come tomorrow. I drove 20 miles by thinking it will be open, but disappointed after reaching there and no apologies at-least by the staff member. He literally came out of the shop to stop us entering the shop and flipped the closed board, even though there were people inside. I'm confused if it is racism or not interested to sell. All I wanted is to buy one bike after doing the stock check with staff member along with store timings.. read more

We heard some great things about Elevations Cycles on County Line. We have some older bikes that just needed a once over. Awesome service with great attitude. Thank you! read more

I wanted to have a tire tube changed. After waiting in a long line for 45 minutes, they informed me I would have to pick it up the next day. I have NEVER heard of a bicycle shop not being able to replace a tube while-you-wait. It's kind of an industry standard to offer while-you-wait tube replacements. As I had traveled from another county, I did not want to have to come back another day. They should have had either hand-written signs or a notice on their website alerting customers that there were no while-you-wait repairs that day. They evidently don't care enough about their customers to communicate their capacity limitations. read more

Having recently moved to the area I identified Elevation Cycles as the closest local bike shop to my house. I took my old Ibis Mojo SL in for service. The bike was initially used for all mountain trail riding, then touring, and would soon be kept for visiting friends and as an alternate. I walked Brian through the history and we chatted through what services would be appropriate. He understood that I wanted the bike to be in safe and functional riding condition, but didn't want to invest more than necessary since I had another primary bike on the way. Fast forward about a week and I picked up the Ibis. Itching to get out on the trail I headed straight for Deer Creek Canyon to get a quick ride. Not more than 5 minutes after setting off my rear hub failed and I walked back to the car. I immediately returned to the shop to get clarity on what service may have been performed on the hub and find out options. Brian received me in the shop and we confirmed that the package I opted for DID NOT involve hub service. Although the shop didn't do anything wrong, Brian picked up on my disappointment after spending a few hundred bucks to get my Ibis serviced and being left with an unridable bike. He took the bike, gave me his card, and said he'd take care of it. The next day I received a text that the bike was again ready for pickup. Brian had installed a new rear wheel and rotor for practically nothing. This was above and beyond what I expected. Brian saw a disappointed customer and flipped the situation. I've since taken the bike out for a romp on Apex and everything is functioning beautifully. Elevation Cycles has earned a new customer. read more

I bought a bike from these guys because they were the only bike shop that didn't pressure me. And man, did I make the right decision to buy from them. Their bike service has been top notch and customer service is amazing. Every time I purchase something or need something fixed they go out of their way to explain every feature of the item and install it for me. The warranty that comes with their bikes is second to none. Most bikes come with a warranty from the manufacturer but the guys at elevation cycles throw in extra warranty items and free bike tune ups with your purchase. Most of the other bike shops never offered that. I plan to use Elevation Cycles as my local bike shop for however long I live in Denver. read more

I was in need of some technical help and Brandt was extremely helpful and kind. I walked away wanting this to be my repair shop from now on.

I seriously question the skill level of the service technicians here. The first time we brought our bike in for a tune up, the perfectly working shock no longer worked when we got the bike back. When we returned to have the shock refilled/ fixed, it continued to leak and have problems. We gave up and installed a brand new shock ourselves. A while after that, we took the bike in to have the rear tube replaced..... it when flat 3 hours later without it even being ridden! We went back in to have them fix it. They found a 1 inch goat head that they missed the first time! AMATEUR MISTAKE. So we bought a new tire and replaced the tube again!!!!! We loaded up the bike and prepared for a bike ride 3 hours later thinking we were all tuned up and ready to go....nope the rear tire was flat once again. This shop is a complete DISAPPOINTMENT!!!! They can't fix anything properly! read more

Took my mountain bike for a complete over haul and mentioned multiple times if anything needed fixed please call and I'll approve. Shop was 3 weeks out. Ridiculous. read more

I'm 53 and I've ridden extensively since I was a child. I've ridden MTB a lot for fun and have raced road bikes and Ironman. I have had wonderful, average and terrible experiences with bike shops all over Colorado. My wife Amy hadn't had a bike in 15 years and had never had a particularly good one. For the first 12 years of our marriage she didn't really want a bike - she thought that I would push her to ride fast (though I wouldn't have). We now have two young children 3 and 5. We were planning to get the boys their first pedal bikes and Amy developed a newfound desire to get a bicycle so that she could ride with them. We recently moved to Highlands Ranch, so I asked an old racing buddy what his favorite bike shop was on this side of town. He said Elevation Cycles. On mother's day we went to get three bikes. I assumed that we would need to make the rounds to several shops to get bikes for everyone, but we didn't. Whitney showed us the most appropriate of the options, helped Amy with MTB vs. road vs. hybrid and then went through specific models. She did a great job of going over features, functionality, etc. and covered everything really well in a way that made Amy feel comfortable as a relative neophyte. I basically played with the boys as Whitney helped Amy test ride several models and worked with her so that she felt comfortable with each one's fit, shifting, features and general functionality. With Whitney's help she was rapidly able to arrive at a bike that she felt was head and shoulders above the rest and was confident in her personal decision. It happened to be the same bike that I would have chosen for her if asked, but with Whitney's sensitivity and knowledge, Amy learned a ton, made her own informed decision, and had a great time doing it. She now has a bike that she loves and feels both comfortable with and invested in. This was no small feat. Amy had an often-expressed hatred of bike shops, from having visited a few with me over the years. But Whitney made her feel comfortable and empowered in a way that allowed her to have fun with the process and exuberant about the result. Last night she shared how happy she was to have had such a great experience with Whitney. Once she had chosen her bike, and while the mechanics were giving it a final inspection/tune, Whitney helped us choose bikes for our boys. They are both over the moon! She gave me some tips on teaching young children to ride, several of which I hadn't heard from my searches on youtube. She helped Amy and the boys with helmets, gloves, etc. and was extremely helpful with those choices as well. I also interacted with some of the other staff while Amy was test riding and they all seemed great and personable. I told Whitney, truthfully, that the only way that the experience could have been any better would have been if they had sold beer too so that I wouldn't have had to make a stop at the liquor store on the way home. I highly recommend Elevation and Whitney in particular. Sean Kelly read more

There is no shortage of bike shops in the area...so why does this place get 5 stars. Customer service and a genuine appreciation for folks in the community. I've bought a couple things there, generally smaller items like clothing, pedals etc., nothing major like a bike. I had a shock pump that wasn't working and they just gave me a new one thru the warranty process. That's crazy. Most places would just tell me to buy a new one, but these folks actually care about customers and the products we use. Definitely my new go-to shop for all things biking. read more

We are so lucky to have Elevation Cycles here in Highlands Ranch. I bought a new Trek ebike in April and came back for a flat tire repair. Whitney and the reduced staff are doing everything they can to keep their customers and staff safe. It's the start of the bike season and customers are scrambling to get bikes tuned up or to buy that new bike they've been dreaming of. The result is customers lined up outside the shop all 6 ft apart creating what I would think is all kinds of stress for the sales staff and bike mechanics. But I have to tell you these folks handle it all with a smile on their face and a commitment to making sure we all will have our new or tuned up bike to help us ride and beat the boredom of the Stay at Home doldrums. Thank you. read more
