*late review* A couple months ago, I had placed an online rental order for Epic Mountain Gear down in Littleton, CO. Upon pickup, I was given the only board they had left which reached above my forehead. I am not an advanced snowboarder, by any means.. Luckily I was told I could possibly exchange my board for a smaller size at their sister rental company, Breeze Ski Rentals (base on availability). I contacted Breeze Ski Rentals the following morning and spoke to Leilani* (sp? I hope I got the name right), who advised me she has a couple board options that may be more fitting for me because the one I received was wayyyy too big. I showed up to the rental site and I waited maybe 5-10 mins in the big crowd before I was spotted by Leilani who addressed me by name!! Not sure how she knew it was even me!! She was great-- full of energy and very efficient! The exchange process so super smooth and seamless. I was with her for no more than 5 minutes before she had me out the door with an appropriate size board!! As the title possibly suggests-- renting skis from here is such a BREEZE! I love how you can check in via the computer. The staff are very helpful and the equipment is nice. I decided to buy my own stuff now so not sure I will be back, but I will recommend yall! I did pick up a cute coat while I was there as well. Decent prices-- I spent $38 if I am remembering correctly. They also allow you to turn in early and get your money back. These guys were awesome. Stuck working on Christmas Day and still upbeat, personable and funny. I don't live in the state, let alone haven't been on a snowboard in 2 decades, but these guys got me and the rest of my entire family set up with gear and even tried to boost up my confidence for the snowboarding adventure I was about to embark on since I was a bit nervous. I was teaching a group how to ride for the day. The shop itself has all the equipment you would need, unfortunately the service was very very sub par. Especially the young gentleman helping us, Jeremy. Dude had a bad attitude from the time we rented to dropping off the equipment. I would recommend renting for convenience but if want actual questions answered regarding your equipment, go somewhere else. With the labor shortage, they should really let dude go and hire someone that actually wants to be there to help people out. read more

Great place for ski rentals! ACCESSIBILITY + Right off i70 -- so easy to pick up on the way to the mountain and drop off on the way back down. And there's a Starbucks and Taco Bell which is an unrelated, but bonus perk. + Super easy to rent online. You also save a few dollars by doing that. We had to cancel once and they were really understanding and easy going about it! SERVICE + The people who work here are really helpful and knowledgeable. The most recent time we went, we were greeted OUTSIDE at our car and the guy helped us carry the gear in to check out quickly. What a guy. All in all, this is a sweet spot for rentals. Even with the large crowd this morning, the staff at Breeze were quick while also taking the needed time to get you the best rental equipment available - the best of both worlds when in a jam packed season. We appreciated Marc and his genuineness to make our second time snowboarding a good one. He walked our equipment up to the register and was helpful in getting us out quickly. Thanks! We'll be buying our own gear soon but will always consider Breeze as one of our stops on the way to the slopes! Doesn't hurt that Starbucks is next door and adjoined inside. Rental returns were a breeze! The staff work hard and kept their sense of humor with us as we completed our returns.... no poles with our rental this time, Marc, but we all agree that collapsible poles are coming! Lol. First let's talk about the good things... My visit was a few weeks back so bear with me I'm working off my memory and my family's memory. Starbucks was attached so I could browse while I waited for coffee. Quality of products was okay.. a bit high end for a mountain truck stop but nice stuff nonetheless. Staff was SUPER friendly and helpful especially the Hawaiian lady (can't remember her name) and Andy also helped us out while getting boots. Low taxes here make products cheaper than in town or on resort. The rental line seemed to move really fast for us the older gentleman John(?) Was experienced and knowledgeable. Now how they could earn 5 stars next time... The whole ski shop smelled exactly as moldy and as gross as the carpet looked. To that same tune the whole skier side was run down; (Chipped and broken tile [trip hazard!], half empty ski rack outside, a few burned out lights, the door sensor seemed to beep the entire time we were there [the staff called it a ghost], rental parts were halfway working) I know the shop is owned by Vail but it's way too cooperate feeling. I miss the old mom and pop shops that used to be around. Performance level gear was sub par and old I'd go with the demo pack next time. In summary the staff was great, the service was fast, and the store was gross old and broken. I want to start by saying that my husband and I have had several great experiences here and have had great rentals. There was an older gentleman who worked mornings last year and was AWESOME. However, when my husband and I went to rent skis the other day, I was given skis the same size as my husband, who is over half of a foot taller than me. I've been skiing since I was 4 and have never had an issue with rental skis from any rental shop we've ever been to. Well, upon discovering that my skis were WAY too large for myself, my husband and I had to rent new skis at the resort. When we returned back to Breeze, the manager (I'm assuming that's who he was) was incredibly rude and abrasive. We had called before and were told we would get a refund because the error was on the shop. However, when we arrived back, he began to argue with me about the type of skier that I am and how they didn't make any mistakes, it was somehow my fault. Even though, my husband, who is also a type II skier, received the same length of skis, so don't try to say that it is standard to give type II skiers skis that are WAY too large. My skis went well above my forehead. Why were our skis the same length, when we aren't close in height at all? The workers at the rental shop at the resort also commented about how massive my skis were and how I shouldn't have been given that size. We ended up receiving a very minimal refund and not once received an apology for their mistake. I am highly disappointed in the customer service of the manager and appalled at the lack of respect we received. A great business has unfortunately lost a couple of very loyal customers due to this situation. read more

This Dumont location is outstanding because of Matthew K! We originally rented 3 one-day ski packages from the Highlands Ranch location, then one of us wanted to extend our rental for a second day while swapping out a pair of boots and another wanted to change from one package to another for a second day while keeping some of the same equipment. Just a bit complicated, right? And there was no way to manage this back at the HR location since we were still in the mountains when we decided we wanted to do this and HR would be closed by the time we returned. Enter Matthew K. at Dumont to save the day! Matt contacted the main Reservations line and took care of everything, including honoring the 25% discount we originally received while booking online even though we were now technically renting at the store. But that wasn't all Matt did. That night, our 7 year old's leg started cramping very badly, and we realized that we would be unable to go skiing again the next day. Right when the store opened in the morning, we went to HR to see if we could possibly cancel the reservation we had made at Dumont the evening before. We didn't expect a refund, but were hoping that maybe, if Breeze was feeling charitable, that we could get one, or store credit for a future rental. We called Dumont just to give them a heads-up, and Matthew K. specifically asked the HR manager to issue us a complete refund, which she then did. We should have known Matt would go above and beyond. He is simply awesome. read more

This is the second time we have visited this location. The first time my boyfriend and I came, the older woman employee was pretty rude to us. Unfortunately that was still the case the second time we visited. We passed through the area on the way to Keystone in January. I saw some pants there that I liked but didn't purchase. My BF called out there because they happened to have the size. They shipped them to us, but unfortunately they weren't the right size. They no longer had the right size in stock ...but searched high and low to get me the size I needed and held them for me until I was coming back into town several weeks later. Breeze Ski rentals made our renting experience so smooth this past weekend. Renting equipment on ski trips can be such a drag because it typically takes a long time to help and fit each customer, especially on a holiday weekend, but Breeze made the process quick and easy. We had 8 people and reserved the equipment online and dropped in on our way from Denver to Vail to pick up our stuff. We were in and out in under 15 minutes and the staff took the time to make sure everything fit correctly and comfortably. We also saved a good amount of money by reserving online. We were able to drop our stuff at the Vail location when we were done and that process was as simple as coming in and handing over our stuff to the girls at the counter. I don't think there is anything Breeze could have done to make this a smoother or quicker experience. I will definitely use them again. read more

My wife and I rented from Breeze (Dumont, CO I-70) on Feb. 20. We did a two day rental. Skis, boot and poles. The two young men who set us up were exceptionally friendly and professional. I took time to mention the same to the manager before leaving. Unfortunately, the weather was absolutely brutal. The weather is forecast to be the same tomorrow, Feb. 21st. I called an spoke to the manager about switching Wednesday for Thursday and offered to return the equipment. Their response, "No. Keep the equipment until Thursday. We want our customers to have a memorable time while here skiing." That's customer service, folks. They did not have to be so accommodating, but they were. read more

I happened to stumble upon Breeze earlier today on the way to Loveland, at the advice of a friend who suggested it as a lower-cost alternative to renting on the mountain, after I experienced a lace mishap in one of my snowboard boots and was in sudden need of a rental. The staff was very friendly and had me in and out quick, with no harsh security deposits or any extra charges. There appeared to be a Starbucks right next door as well. Very convenient location on your way out to mountains west of Denver. Make sure to reserve your skies/board online as they offer a discount if you reserve ahead of time. I felt a little spurned that my daughter was priced out of the youth rental package and forced into the adult package based on her ski ability. The staff was friendly and helpful to many new/inexperienced skiers during the busy Christmas season. Also, be prepared for tour buses/vans loaded with newbie/inexperienced skiers flooding the store. As we walked in we were overwhelmed by the hordes of shoppers and Starbucks customers (connected to the ski shop). However, most of that crowd is shopping and not actually renting their gear. Matt and team are terrific! Very friendly and helpful staff that made our overall experience with Breeze Dumont very easy and accommodating. I rented ski equipment for myself and kids for 3 days. We were in/out within 10 minutes. I asked for fresh wax on my skis and they took care of it no questions asked. No problems with the equipment whatsoever. This review is a result of a single experience I had here. I forgot my sunglasses at home one day heading up to the slopes. We dropped into Breeze to buy a pair "cheapies", just to get me through the day. Matt K saw my interest in sunglasses and immediately started offering some of the best customer service I've ever had. It was quick, efficient, thorough, and actually enjoyable. I can't say that often about a shopping experience. I ended up getting a great pair of glasses for exactly what I needed. Matt even suggested a perfect pair that was on super sale. I'm very excited about these glasses. I'm more excited about giving Breeze my future business though. Every person with whom we interacted was very friendly and knowledgeable. In particular, Leilani went out of her way to be helpful and was incredibly friendly.
