We rented snow pants and were able to try them out right there pretty easily. The two guys working were very helpful and patient. The service here is speedy and fast. I live close to Mason de ski, and it has become a great way to get ski's or a snowboard depending on how I'm feeling. The amazing Lady named Taryn there will wax my skis or board if needed. She is very nice lady even took my daughter for private beginner lesson for her transition into snowboarding. All there material is clean and equipment rides great. Easy to use if coming from Denver and going to keystone or loveland for little cost! Very good experience at the Maison. Very friendly staff, lots of selection of demo and performance level rental skis. Spent a lot of extra time with me describing the different options I had (I'm just getting back into skiing after 20 years of snowboarding, so it was very helpful to get advice on the new technology). I've been going to Maison de Ski for their free quick wax on my way to the mountain for years, and finally decided to drop my snowboard off for a full tune, edge, wax etc. I dropped it off Tuesday afternoon and picked it up Wednesday morning, and it rode amazing at Keystone. The edges were sharp and they filled all the gashes in the base of my board. It was also a great price and a much faster turn around than some bigger shops. read more

Conveniently located off I-70, smart to pick stuff up here then wait in line at the base of any mountain. Pretty sweet little rental shop, hit them up on our way to Breck to pick up some gear for my sisters visiting from CA. They have some pretty good rental packages (About $20/day) and for an additional $5 you can save your head with a comfy helmet. They also have discount ski tickets for the resorts in the Summit area. The staff is super helpful but not the most kindest folk. Love this place. All the employees really know their stuff and have been so amazing and helpful. I needed a place to rent bindings on the way to Keystone until my new ones come in the mail and they were quick to help out and Cody even went the extra mile and put them on my board for me and even sanded my new edges. I often fail to plan ahead for rentals on our trips to Colorado and wind up renting overpriced equipment from the resorts. This trip we were referred by a local friend who gets seasonal rentals for her kids at Maison de Ski. Not only was the online process easy and the prices reasonable, but the attitude of the employees was so refreshing and laid back and they got my son excited about his first trip. Needed some gear for my kids! Due to covid haven't been snowboarding as much and didn't buy the kids gear this year. Rented ski and snowboard gear for my kids and it was affordable and great quality! When one of my best friends moved to Denver she asked all the locals where to rent skis from and this was the place everyone recommended. This is our second year taking her advice and renting with Maison. Just minutes off I-70 it's a fun detour to break up the drive and avoid the long lines and ridiculous prices at the resorts. Just make sure you plan ahead as traffic driving back here can be bad and they close at 7pm. They do have heat molding and can mold any ski boot to your foot if you have funny bones etc. I've always found the staff to be helpful and friendly. Book online to save 10%. All you have to do is fill out the waiver when you get there and you're on your way. Helmets have been updated since the first time we rented there in 2012 and some have GoPro attachments on top. read more

It's a few hundred yards off of I-70 but easy to miss as it's kind of a dump of a building, close to the road and sandwiched between a gas station and a fence. Their equipment is kind of banged up, their snowboards have inconvenient bindings, the people there are really inefficient (usual forms to fill out even when they have your c/c and reservations were made on-line) and they didn't set my bindings correctly so one ski kept coming off -- but they are cheaper than the other places and a lot cheaper than the ski areas. On the positive side, their web-site is super helpful and you can save a few more bucks and print the coupon off their web-site... http://www.maisondeski.com/rates.html In fact that's the main reason I gave them 3 stars. Also, they have a discount lift ticket machine (like King Soopers, etc.) and apparently will wax skis for free (not sure what kind of a job they do). The staff was SO friendly. My husband and I were traveling to Snowmass for our honeymoon and we rented from here. He could have charged us for a six day rental but he only charged for four because he asked how many days we were actually boarding. The gentleman fitting me for my board took much time and care, and showed me several times how to strap in correctly. They gave us directions, tips on the area, and also told my husband of another store to get something they didn't have in stock. They also asked if we were having lunch before we got on the road and told us the best place to eat in the area. It was a bbq place that had the best smoked prime rib in the world! When we returned the board we ate there again. They remembered us after a week when we gave back the equipment and asked us about our trip. This place is awesome! I don't normally rent because I own my equipment, but I was on an impromptu trip to keystone and needed to rent. Totally glad I used these guys instead of renting at the resort. I opted for a demo package and don't regret spending the extra $10. I told the guys what I was looking for and they hooked me up with a sweet lib tech board that I fell in love with. The boots and bindings were also a little better than I'd expect. Overall, the price, equipment, and customer service were great. Their location was also super convenient. I'd recommend them to anyone looking to rent. Just a few tips: I noticed they were renting out snow pants to people who needed them. I usually don't create reviews on shops unless it is necessary- Maison Ski Shop is the go-to and fastest way to get your rentals. I say this because when I was brought here, I didn't know what size, if I was goofy or regular, etc. everyone in the staff is extremely friendly and they make sure everything fits perfectly and safely. I had 5 friends come to visit within the past 3 months, and I've taken them ALL to this shop. What's also cool is that the staff REMEMBERS me when they say, "hey! You're back!" One of the best feelings ever - I only remember Casey's name, but to the young boys who helped me out get a helmet and my friends their gear - thank you for your amazing help. Laid back , friendly, and chill staff, must be nice to have a job you can work high. But they were quick and helpful. Not a big selection, but the demo stuff was nice and in great shape. And you can rent an entire kit, including gloves and goggles even. And the prices are pretty great. They close a little early, but a drop box for your equipment makes up for that. These guys are the best in town. Every time I fly into Denver and plan on skiing they're the only shop I'll rent from. The staff is super friendly and very well educated on what the best gears going to be for that day. They carry my favorite brand (Icelantic) and I can always count on getting the best of the best. As soon as I rented the skis they closed I-70 due to a rock slide. I called the shop and they were more than happy to let me keep the skis for an extra day so I could go up the next day.
