They came back polished and all the tiny nics on the heel leather had been fixed as best as possible but they look as good as new. I've tried that Dr. Scholl machine at Walmart which tells you which insole you should get. They worked for a while, went to sketchers by Walmart and got their arch fit shoes. I hated them. Returned them the next day. I went to the podiatrist who recommend me grabbing a better quality shoe such as Brooks, New Balance or Ascis. He told me to get the Superfeet green insole and also recommended me to this shoe store in Bethel. As soon as I left that office I drove right to this store. I was greeted by Leah, she was fantastic. She sat me down, asked what I do for work, what am I looking for in a shoe. She measured for my shoe size and got at least 3-4 pairs to try on. All brands the doctor recommended. She had me try on each pair and had me walk back and forth, making sure my posture was in proper form, and to ensure my balance in the shoes were good. Unfortunately they did not have the Superfeet Green insole in my size (popular item). Leah had recommended alternative brands of insole, which I did try but I wanted to stick with the doctor recommendation, she was extremely respectful of that, even agreed stick with the doctors recommendation. She did not try to push anything on me, so I ordered a pair on Amazon. I ended up buying two pairs of shoes from the store. Brooks and Ascis and I love them. Very comfortable. I was extremely pleased with my experience at this store. Without a doubt I will be returning in the future.

Been to very good specialty running stores in San Fran, NYC, Seattle and Chicago, but nothing compares. The proprietor, Marc Chapman is as knowledgeable about all levels of running (from beginner to competitive athlete), and is very generous about sharing the knowledge with all who enter the world of Kilometers. He will watch you run for a bit, evaluate your mechanics and suggest just the right shoe for you, and work with you over the months and years to continue to guide your shoe selection and educate you on the sport. If there were more retailers with the passion that Chapman has for his trade, the likes of Niketown and Champs never would have existed, because they simply would not be able to compete.

This store is great for runners and athletes, as well as anyone with foot problems. It's small and low-key so you get one-on-one attention. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. The shoe prices are in line with other shoes (locations) in their respective category. This was the first time I've been asked to remove my shoes and walk so he could see my arch. I felt comfortable with the sale, not pressured to buy. I was given 2 options that would work best for me and I chose the New Balance since I was familiar with the name. After asking around, the other option was a well-known name, just not by me lol. They also carry socks, gloves, shirts, and many accessories needed for running and other physical activities. Again it's low-key so it's easy to pass and I wouldn't have given this place a second look if I hadn't sought it out. The entrance and parking lot is in the back of the building. This place was recommended by a podiatrist so I just passed along the information. Gotta keep my feet fresh, healthy, and working properly for as long as possible!!!
