It worked really, really well for my foot and they were very diligent about the order, as well as patient when I couldn't get in for longer than expected to pick it up. Really great advice and service and the price was very close to online prices!

As a previous customer who was very happy with the services provided by the RRC, yesterday was…read morereally disappointing. I arrived at the store 20 minutes before closing to purchase a pair of On running shoes. I knew the exact model, size (based on previous fittings at the store) and even called to ensure they had the pair in stock. All good. However, when approached by the store employee in a rather put off way, she stated that they were no longer doing shoe fittings for the day and I had to make an appointment. Keep in mind, there were at least 3 employees in the store and ZERO customers, just myself. I'd like to thank the Athletic Shoe Factory in New Canaan for helping me purchase the same exact pair of shoes. They were friendly, knowledgeable and made thoughtful recommendations. I was in and out in 10-15 minutes! Well done and you now have a new client. RRC needs to do better.

Great place for shoes! Woodbridge Running company is…read moreabout function over fashion. Not that they don't have fashionable shoes, but you're not bringing your teenager here on release day for the latest pair of Jordans. This store is great for runners and athletes, as well as anyone with foot problems. It's small and low-key so you get one-on-one attention. The owner is friendly and knowledgeable. The shoe prices are in line with other shoes (locations) in their respective category. This was the first time I've been asked to remove my shoes and walk so he could see my arch. I felt comfortable with the sale, not pressured to buy. I was given 2 options that would work best for me and I chose the New Balance since I was familiar with the name. After asking around, the other option was a well-known name, just not by me lol. They also carry socks, gloves, shirts, and many accessories needed for running and other physical activities. Again it's low-key so it's easy to pass and I wouldn't have given this place a second look if I hadn't sought it out. The entrance and parking lot is in the back of the building. This place was recommended by a podiatrist so I just passed along the information. Gotta keep my feet fresh, healthy, and working properly for as long as possible!!!

I felt as though I was making the best decision for my feet and for my running journey overall. The employees were patient and knew all the right questions to ask. Highly recommend Woodbridge Running Co. for all your running needs.

Kasey facilitated an analysis of the feet while walking/standing, explained the results, and recommended various options accordingly. My husband tried HOKA, New Balance, and Adidas shoes and ended up having trouble deciding between two. Kasey helped him consider price/appearance to complete his decision! She was also excellent at engaging in conversation and providing informative, friendly service. We were in and out of the store in probably 20 minutes with a new pair of shoes/socks for little over $100! Darien Running Co was an excellent stop during our weekend away from NYC. I highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this running shop…read more On the plus side, i generally have had good service there. Everyone has been friendly and they have a nice selection of typically popular running shoes and accessories. They also have a bit of a running community with occasional product tests/races/practice runs etc. On the other hand, they have a practice which I can only characterize as annoying but perhaps necessary from their point of view. Unlike every other running store I've ever been to, they make you get socks off the rack at their store to try on (even if you bring your own clean, washed socks). I was under the impression you had to buy the socks and that was certainly the implication when they took socks off the rack and ripped open the package. Somebody messaged me on YELP saying that is not the case but that was certainly not clear to me. Especially when they literally said to me "Don't worry, they'll be discounted" and it was not clear to me what the price was of the socks I was directed to (i later found out they were over $18 and the "discount" was about $5...so in other words, it certainly seemed like I was paying $13 just to try on shoes). Perhaps its just a sanitary thing and not an extra charge but the employees should be crystal clear about that. They were not. Perhaps a sign when you walk in would make this clear (if there was one, i did not see it) as its just casually brought up when you ask to try on shoes. At any rate, if they do charge you (or at least suggest you buy the socks discounted), I get why they do this. I mean, once you find a shoe you like, you can likely get it online cheaper and i'm sure people just come in to try stuff on and then want to leave. This would be a way to force people to pay for something. But, I like to support small and local businesses so I would not do that. However, not allowing me to wear a clean pair of socks (or even having standard "try on socks" like most stores do for customers), I feel is a bit...well..annoying.
