Staying mainly on the west side of town, I usually go to the Kohl's in Brewster if I have some of that sweet, sweet Kohl's cash burning a hole in my pocket. But since I needed to make a Costco run (and I'd mentally prepared myself for it) I decided to visit the east side Kohl's off of Federal Road. After this one-time experience , I think I'll stick with the one in Brewster. The outside of the store is kind of messy and looks like it's not maintained....it could literally be abandoned and you wouldn't tell the difference. You walk in and it's a standard Kohl's, only more tired and flatter. I know that may be hard to picture but when you go to the Brewster Kohl's and walk in, there's always a bright, seasonal display that is very welcoming and puts you in the mood to shop. Here, it was just a mess of carts haphazardly sitting around in the entry and some luggage that I wasn't sure was on display or was just waiting to be stocked. The selection was okay and they had stock, but there were a few areas that it looked like stocking had started but then been abandoned halfway through. Like boxes and carts and ladders just sitting in aisles and between racks. Not a big deal and maybe they're gearing up for back to school but just a little messy. What was the least appealing thing about this place is how long it takes to check out. We were the second people in line and just wanted to purchase one pair of swim trunks. It took a long time and there were no self service options such as they have at Brewster. Some dude had a complex return apparently so it took three cashiers several minutes to resolve that while the line kept growing. Then when we got to the cashier, he seemed really burnt out, which I can get and I empathize with. So a self-service option would have been quicker and a better experience. Anyway, the key takeaway from this review is that if you're in the greater Danbury metro area, take a ride on 84 West to Brewster and check out the Kohl's near the Southeast train station. read more

Racist, rude & condescending! There were two belligerent females that attempted to refuse refunding me on a few return items. However, I stated that both my receipt & order numbers proved I was within the return window. I've witnessed other non-minorities with a ton of returns and were given refunds without any issues. Are they getting paid extra to harass and target certain races?! If this ever happens again, I will make sure to request for the manager and get the names of these two employees in order to report them to corporate. I highly encourage others to do the same. Beware and be on guard when making returns here and do Not let them intimidate you. This is unacceptable behavior and should never be tolerated by anyone. read more

This location is not one of my favorites. I've had a number of customer service issues here at check out because the items were mismarked or in the wrong spot. Yesterday when I got to the register I asked the cashier if I could have a scratch off coupon bc I didn't have a coupon on me. She was very nice but she informed me that there aren't any coupons out at the moment which meant she couldn't give me a scratch off. I asked her if there could be a coupon in my email and she confidently told me no - there is nothing out right now, period. About 5 minutes ago I was cleaning up my email and low and behold I came across a 20% coupon. I'm not happy. There was no one on line behind me, so yes it's my fault I should have checked my email, BUT she should not have so confidentially told me there are absolutely NO coupons out right now. A tip for all the stores in the Westchester/Dutchess/Putnam/CT area: Who ever is in charge of merchandising really needs 'Merchandise Training 101'. Every time i shop Women's clothes the merchandise is spread throughout the department in numerous places. Sometimes I find the style/size I'm looking for a few racks down. All of the clearance rack are way too crammed and quite overwhelming to shop. Its just a disaster! read more

Two weeks ago on a Saturday I went in there to customer service to make a mattress return. Two days prior I called corporate to verify the return, I was given the okay for me to bring the mattress to Kohl's in Brookfield. When my turn came up I said hello to the old woman, however, she did not say a word. I gave her a receipt and explained I was returning the mattress only from the package ordered. I told her I had called headquarters and they instructed me to bring it to Kohl's in Brookfield. She rudely responded, "this is absurd, you have to bring me everythin5g back in order for me to make this return." I told her, " are you out of your mind, that is why I called corporate, to get accurate instructions. " The woman was so rude and mumbled " she didn't need me to cause her trouble. " I told her " that was her job. " I eventually had the store manager come over and she solved the issue. The clerk at the customer service definitely has discrimination issues against Hispanics. She is not suited to work that counter. Descrimination is not acceptable when you work with the public. She should be working in the warehouse or backrooms were she can't be rude to the customers. If I ever go there again and see her I will not allow her to help me. I rather go home. read more

So disappointed. I went in here to get boys jeans and boys sneakers. The children's shoe shelves looked like there was an explosion. Could barely find the size shoes I needed and when I did find the size box, the shoe either did not match or was not the correct one. I then went to the boys jeans on the Levi wall. Went straight to 550 boys relaxed jeans and saw 505, 711 which I never heard of, 502 but no 550. It was a mess and I didn't have the time to sift through the mess. I will not be returning to this store. Waste of time. read more

Absolute worse customer service and staff. Waited 10 mins in customer service line to return Amazon order only to be told I had to go to another location in store. This is after I asked woman at front register where to go. Complete time waster. Signage would help directing especially at customer service desk. Kohls online has been terrible they hold double the amount of the order until it ships out in my case that was 195 + 195 out of my account. Then you call and you get someone in the Phillipines who they outsource to and they don't even give you a decent answer asked for a supervisor was told they would call right back never heard. Nice department store. Love some of their store brands.... Always offering sales. This location is a little more limited in products & sizes. The Brewer NY & Ridgefield CT stores are better with selections & sizes. read more

Don't waste your time here... The one in New Milford is much better and seems to have more on sale. It's also disorganized here and doesn't seem like a lot of variety in the women's section, except for a whole block or two full of overpriced Vera Wang and Lauren Conrad. I didn't get anything from here. A lot of the items were in the wrong spot, too, and you could barely tell from the sale screens which item is on sale. read more

I usually shop this location . Today I was not impressed. Dressing rms were filthy. And the women's shoe dept was a disaster .

Very dirty and disorganized store. Went to try on a pair of women's pants and found body fluid stains in them! Too grossed out to shop there again. read more
