Coming from Ireland Target is my guilty pleasure. I love the selection of stuff that I can only dream off back home. I love the weird and the wonderful and I also love the cheap to shirts and levi jeans. This was the closest Target to my hotel for a quick pickup for a few items and I feel I will come up with an excuse to come back before I head back to Boston and then back to Dublin. it's a small Target compared to the others I have been in but it had what I needed. read more

Keep in mind if you come here occasionally you might have to wait a little bit for a lane to open up. But also at the same time this target is always 50/50 for being good service, good selection and a good value. You might have days where this place is like a closet but at the same time it might be good. This is really depended on if it is a good trip. read more

Horrible experience, apathetic store manager, cheap damaged merchandise. I bought a stand up wooden lamp for $100 this morning. Upon setting it up, noticed the wood was damaged with a a huge split running up the column. Drove back to return to Target in Bethel, CT. Tried to exchange but store was out of stock. Would not ship a new one with no shipping charge. I will not be shopping at target ever again, never. I wasted the whole morning with this damaged lamp and was treated poorly by the store manager. read more

I visited this location on 12/28/25. There were no shopping carts in the store and, because no one returns carts to the corrals anymore, I had to chase one down across the parking lot while toting a 19-month-old. Also, the two people in the tech section pitching cell service were weirdly very aggressive and confrontational. I'm sure it's an awful job to cold pitch cell service to people who don't want to talk to you but, as the saying goes, you'll catch more flies with honey than vinegar. read more

Been going to this store since it first opened. It used to be a nicer, cleaner, friendlier alternative to the Walmart down the road. This store has been in steady decline for the past few years. I visited on 1/3/26 and the store was a complete disaster. Product all over the ground and improperly merchandised, employees blocking aisles with boxes trying to restock, total chaos. The most annoying change is that during my last 2 visits there were 2 obnoxious guys in the electronics department trying to put a very hard sell on T Mobile cellular service. They literally attack everyone walking by asking if you use Verizon or T Mobile. The first time I answered honestly and they tried to put down Verizon. Yesterday I told them I wasn't answering their dumb question. I can imagine that this will keep people from even walking to that side of the store and will have a negative impact on sales. The day before Valentine's Day, I took a chance and bought roses for my fiancé at Target instead of buying them at a florist. I am writing this on March 18, and the roses still look amazing. We waited 48 minutes for a drive up order. Completely understaffed, poorly managed . The management team seems to be challenged.

I stopped here right after Christmas for some after holiday sales. First of all the store is a mess no one knows where anything is. I picked some Christmas stuff up to buy and was told at the register this stuff was not discounted because it did qualify as holiday stuff, apparently Christmas cars, bows and holiday soaps that were in the 50% off bin are not discounted. When I was leaving I watch the process of sanitizing or as they called it, "there is no process" as you walk in the store their are 3 people standing infront with a booth to hand out carriages, they have no wipes or sanitizer and claim the carts are wiped down. Now I never saw anyone wipe down carts. I watched people leave the store give the carts back to the workers they put them in the group with the rest and then handed a new customer a fresh cart (the same used cart) to a new customer, theirs no sanitizing process their no process, knowing this and the lack of cleaning and cleanliness in the store, no wipes or sanitizer anywhere. The people who work in the front had their masks below their nose and 1 had it on her chin. I would not come back. Is it really that hard to follow a rule and wear a mask or do you have to be sent back to kindergarten when you're told to color in the lines. It's unfortunate we have people who care little about the health and safety of other let alone the responsibility and decency of being a human. I was never a fan of this target to begin with but just goes to show they don't care about customers they try to cut corners and their service is a joke. To say that I'm angry would be an understatement. To say that I am beyond offended, would be an understatement. To say that I was treated incredibly rudely today would be more than accurate. This was the very absolute worst experience I have EVER had at a Target store EVER. Background: My family love the Spritz holiday birds. We have bought almost every single one for every single holiday since Target started selling them. We take our bird buying seriously. IYKYK. Last years Valentine's Day birds sold out wicked fast, so we have proactively been looking in the app DAILY to get the upcoming birds now. My mom found them at this Target and asked if I would mind driving out you know, ACROSS THE WHOLE STATE OF CONNECTICUT TO GET THESE BIRDS. I naturally agreed because this was literally the only Target location with them, unless I were to drive to New York. So Wednesday a message pops up to pick them up by EOB or the order will be canceled. My mom extends the order through the app. Then a weird pop up pops up and says they might not hold them. So strike one, Target you have a bug fix to investigate because this shouldn't be an issue. We have picked items up before too many times to count and this hasn't happened before. My mom calls the store. And calls the store. And calls again. For over 30 mins she tried calling and finally was able to speak to someone in HR. She reassured my mom that yes, her order will still be there when I pick it up Saturday and she specifically has set it to the side so that it doesn't get put back. She told my mom I might have to go into the store instead of doing curbside and we were like that's fine, whatever. Mind you the app is now showing everything is still fine for pick up thru SUNDAY aka tomorrow. So I hop in my car today, my mom selects in the app I'm on my way, and I drive the hour to get to the store. I park. And I wait. And I wait. And I wait some more. This kid comes out and goes oh uhm we can't find your order so here's a $20 gift card. I go are you serious? I happened to have called my mom to talk to her about how excited I was to be getting these birds so she was on speaker and she goes wait a minute wait a minute wait a minute and explains everything and how she was reassured they were there still and the app confirmed it as well. So this kid tried calling the supervisor. Multiple times mind you. In fact, other pick up target employees who run orders out tried getting ahold of this guy as well. So he saunters over finally after 20 mins with the worst attitude I've seen on a supervisor. And he goes well we can't find it and we can't call to find out where they put it. I point blank ask if they looked and he says well it's not where we typically put it. Ok well common sense would then say to look around the area then to try and trouble shoot and use critical thinking skills about where this other employee put the bag. My mom tried talking to this man and he kept cutting her off and cutting her off and cutting her off some more. So I go ok well if you find them what happens and he goes welllllll we'll call you and you can come get them. I'm sorry, what? No. You will ship those to me. Target offers shipping and I already will have wasted 2 hours of my time and gas at $3.25 a gallon and you're telling me I have to drive back across the state AGAIN because you had a breakdown in your process? I don't think so. So I gave him my contact info (I highly doubt I will get a call) and I flat out said, this is unacceptable and this is clearly a breakdown in process. All employees need to be re trained in order to avoid this from happening in the future. And I also strongly advise Target gives their employees customer service training because the snottiness and blatant disrespect that was issued to not only me, but also my mom today was unacceptable. I told him too if I would be contacting corporate. And I fully intend to. You do not cut a customer off and keep getting belligerent with them when your people have clearly messed up. I have worked in customer service. If I treated a customer today the way he treated me, I would have been terminated immediately. I would be terminated immediately from my current job if I spoke to anyone the way I was spoken to today. This is unacceptable. Target, your employees are not solutions oriented and lacking in problem solving and people skills. I suggest you perform root cause analysis on this issue immediately. And judging by the overall rating of this Target store, it has been a long time coming. read more

Full store, 1 register with an actual person to ring up purchases. Not sure why Target thinks people want to check out all their items while people who get paid to work there watch. They don't even offer paper bags anymore. Gift cards don't come with a receipt to verify the card is loaded. Will not be shopping at target anytime soon. read more

Broke my ankle and placed a drive up pickup order from Bethel Target for some items to avoid being on my feet shopping. 10 items ($58) missing from the order. Called 14 times, tried 3 different departments, held for 35+ minutes and gave up and drove back. Walked up to Guest Services with zero line which sure was great, but seemingly not busy enough to warrant not answering the phone. I ask about my calls, told oh no one must have been available. For 35 minutes over 3 departments? I ask about the items, oh they must've been displaced, you can go get them and we'll check the bag before you go. I said that absolutely defeats the purpose of placing a drive up order, especially when it's not just for convenience only, I've got a busted ankle. I was told there's nothing she can do about that. YOU are Guest Services and the pickup orders point of contact, if not you, then who else? And if you cannot train or prevent this, you can problem solve and offer better solutions than send a person visably hobbling around to go get what your clerk forgot. All without applogy. Such a joke. Abosultely terrible customer service. read more

One of the worst run Targets I have visited . Stock always seems to be low , never enough cashiers and today no shopping carts . Had to search the parking lot for a cart because no one is there to bring them inside . Total chaos when you are checking out on busy days. Seems to be a trend in several of the local Targets in Connecticut . The Targets down South are run a lot better and offer a lot more to the Customer . Now the main focus here is to add over 20 curbside delivery parking spots . Can't blame people . I wouldn't want to come in this store either ! read more

Nice big clean store. Clothes wise - hit or miss for me but I always have luck in the kids clothing dept. Something that ticked me off - My daughter was not behaving bc she was overly tired - okay, my fault bc we were there late. A female worker in the back right fitting room area kept giving me dirty looks... I'm sure your kids are not well behaved 100% of the time either lady!! The cashier that rang us up was very friendly. Terribly run and obviously short staffed. No other target in the area had half hour lines that snakes through the entire store. I've never been to this location, but wow is it different than what we expect from Target. Merchandise is low stock of everything. The staff sucks. All kids talking to each other and not doing their jobs. Long lines. The manager is to blame. She lets this continue. I've spoke to her before about some staff and the long lines and she laughs and doesn't reprimand them for their actions. Well, it was a miserable Hanukkah for Jeff, 8 days of misery. Every night the poor guy got triggered when he didn't get his desired gift. Finally, I knew that I had to help him, and asked what he wanted. All he wanted a McLovin t-shirt from Superbad. And boy does this Target have a supply. McLovin t-shirts are essential, there needs to be a limit, because everybody wants one. Jeff made me get a Looney Tunes one, because he said I belonged in the Looney Bin! Now that's offensive!!! The store has a clean appearance, but the customer service simply ruins it. Some of the most patronizing managers I've ever witnessed in a store. Returns can be painfully difficult, and at times disrespectful to customers. Cashiers often comment on what your buying, no matter how many time I've asked them not to, spoke to managers, even contacted Corporate. Actually, the Bethel target is an attractive store which is conveniently located off exit 8. The store on the whole is clean and well maintained. The shelves are tidy. In spite of it's outward appearance, this is a genuinely terrible place to shop. The management is actually horrendous. I made the mistake of buying an air mattress at the store and I picked up the wrong size. I realized this when I got to my car and went to the customer service counter where I was told that all sales were final even unused purchases. It was the first time I had ever tried to return anything to a Target store. I only wanted to exchange the item for a different size. I asked to see the manager and was threatened with an arrest and I was called a criminal. Why the paranoia - I don't know. The long and the short of it is that you may not return any purchases here for any reason. Caveat emptor I suppose. Don't buy anything here unless you are absolutely certain that you won't need to take it back read more

I used to love this Target, it was always stocked and organized, with friendly employees. I am disappointed with the way this place has taken a turn for the worse. It's been a mess the past few times I've been there. There are a bunch of new employees that I find to be rude and not helpful. They look at you like you're bothering them by shopping there. What takes the cake for me though, is I had a bunch of items in my cart from clothing to food and a bunch of smaller items and not one register was open. When I asked about it the employee was like "yeah, sorry you have to do it yourself at the self checkout." Really ?! $500 worth of items and I had my baby with me. Ridiculous and took much longer than self checkout is supposed to. Self checkout is for quick, small purchases, not a huge shopping! What the hell is the point of all these miserable employees if you have to do everything yourself while they just gawk at you?! Overpriced Walmart at this point. No thanks. read more

First of all, I love target. All the workers have been super helpful and hardworking with everything going on. I love that I can use the target circle app to get coupons and deals to use in store, however, I find that every time I go here, at least one thing on my list is out of stock. It's always random things like the face wash I like to use or an eyeliner or a specific room spray. Obviously not a huge deal, but it's a little annoying to have to go to more than one store for something that really should be available. read more

Didn't know where this was until after I'd gone to Wal-Mart but since I had to return a clock I'd bought there & really wanted a wall clock anyway, I had an excuse to come here. The grocery section is tucked away (at first I thought they didn't have one at all) but I did manage to find a nice wall clock as well as other items I wanted at a fair price. Parking is ample, the store is clean & my only gripe is the line structure at the checkout. They need to widen the exits for people who are done at checkout lines farther away from the entrance; otherwise, you have to wait on the person in front of you at the checkout line closest to the exit. I had to push my way out when I was done to go into a checkout lane that was closed so I could leave the store. At least Wal-Mart DOES have wide enough coverage with the same checkout stand setup. read more

I've been to this target a handful of times in the past year and I cannot find a good thing to say about interactions with employees. If something needs to be addressed aside the typical scan, pay, leave routine (a return or price discrepancy), I'm always left with my concern unmet and feeling like an inconvenience to the employees. In general, I Love Target! However, I go out of my way to avoid shopping at the Bethel, CT Target. Thank goodness for the app, because Mount Kisco is a bit out of the way for me, but worth it to have pleasant humans to interact with. read more

Whenever I'm inside the store it's a bit chaotic and there's a few older women who clearly don't want to be doing their job and don't fully pay attention/ don't have the best customer service. I ordered some picture frames and did a Drive up "pickup" order. When i looked in the bag and realized one of the frames was broken I was upset because it was raining and I didn't have time to go inside. I saw another young gentleman doing a delivery to another car and I rolled down the window and asked for his help. Instead of sending me in the store he told me I could make a return on the app. While he waited in the rain for me to try and figure it I asked if I could just have another one because I still wanted the frame. He checked to see if they had any more frames in the store and personally went back inside to go and get it for me. On a rainy evening December 1st I was able to sit in my car while this young man went above and beyond to get me a replacement item. Now that's good customer service. Thank you! read more

OMG...I wanted to save some time for what will be a busy weekend so I ordered a bunch of stuff from target on their app. Hubby went to pick up and came home and I see that $85 worth of my items order...like half my order weee missing. We used the curbside pick up and they place the items in the trunk like always but to have half my order missing is ridiculous!!!! I called customer service and it took my forever to get my refund...no time to go back and get my items so I will have to find time tomorrow to back to another store for my items. So sad Target....you should be on top of these things on a holiday weekend!!!! read more

I love Bethel and Target but lately the parking lot is filthy with garbage and the front inside entrance of store, garbage cans always overflowin. A week ago I had an encounter with an employee by the name of "Matt" (big guy with glasses), who greeted me with pure disrespect by calling me a "motherf**ker", for grabbing a cart from the line up that he was cleaning. Never in all my years have I been disrespected in such a terrible manner by someone even on that base level on the career scale. Instead of causing loud confrontation, I instead informed a manager about what happened and she had told me that she would handle it. Why is it that a week later when I return he still has a job? When is this ever okay for an employee to disrespect a customer by calling them a "Motherf**ker"? What does this location or better yet the management represent for this to be allowed or let alone continue without repercussions? I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied and have not received closure from this terrible shopping experience. read more
