I called this morning to see what ski boots they had in my size. They were super helpful and asked me all the right questions about size, style, skill level, etc. They had quite a few boots that I was interested in, so I took a ride out. They were very busy, but they had plenty of staff on. I was told it would be a bit because there were a couple of people already waiting. I didn't have to wait very long. They brought out a few boots that I was interested in and a few that they thought would be good for me. Super thorough and very patient. There are many ski shops to patronize so why go to Ski Haus? We have been shopping there for about 15 years, drive 45 minutes to shop there (Brewster location) instead of 10 minutes to a store near us. Their selection of equipment and clothing is superb, high quality, reasonable priced. Bev, one of the owners, specializes in clothing and is very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. She will give a fair assessment of any item you wish to purchase. We take her advice as gospel and are never disappointed. If there is an issue in the near future with a purchase, she is reasonable in managing the situation. I have bought my ski equipment at Ski Haus for over 35 years. It is always a total joy to deal with them for their experience, knowledge and honesty. There is a reason they have been in business since 1962: their integrity. Recently, I informed Ski Haus that a ski I bought from them a bit over 2 years ago had developed an edge that was separating. Though the ski company warranty had just passed, Ross and his team went to bat for me, and my skis were replaced. This is one example of the extraordinary commitment to quality. Unfortunately we walked in and walked out. Went in with my son to get new skis and boots and was told we had to wait in line. He couldn't even browse. We drove 30 minutes to get there. Perhaps making it a by appt and walk ins welcome with a chance to wait would be a better idea. With time unknown of how long it could take, we decided to leave and go to Pedigree, and Hickory & Tweed. Having people stand inside made no sense. I rented skis and snowboards for my family from them and always find their service great--they even repacked my sons boots 1/2 through the season when he outgrew them. When it was time to buy, I was able to try out my skis as a rental before purchasing them along with some bargain prices end of season ski boots. I bought 2 pairs of adult skis here in 2020. When I tried to rent kids skis in 2021 these guys did not have any stock and they refused to tell me my kids sizes. I'm in California and I recently ordered a snowboard from these fine folks. I was looking for a rare snowboard (T Rice Orca) and literally couldn't find it in stock anywhere online, even from international websites. Somehow I came across this shop, gave them a call, and sure enough they had the board in stock, in my size, and were willing to ship it to me. I was shocked - they even had it in other rare sizes too. They then went out of their way to mention a promotion they had going on and I gladly jumped on it. A few days later I received my board in a nice secure box, and they threw in a free wax scraper too. Didn't expect such a good experience from a random local shop across the country, but, I'm glad I stumbled on them. Thank you Ski Haus! read more

I went in to ask if I could get the bindings fixed on an old pair of skis and the guy at front huffed as if I asked a stupid question. He told me my skis are old and not worth it and I should get new ones. I then asked if I could get fitted for cheap boots bc I'm currently in school. They put a 400 dollar boot on me , and then in front of about 8 other customers, said "this is definitely out of your price range". I've never felt so disrespected. When I told them I won't be getting the boots he angrily took theM off my feet and walked away. My parents who are buoy skiers have been treated poorly to but at least they were treated better bc they can afford more then me. Never returning there . read more

I have been here a few times because it's convenient and have found nice ski clothing. The prices are high but the selection is good. The older lady that was there each time i went in waited on me. She was very condescending and quick tempered . It's a stressful experience and i won't be stopping in again. read more

This place is terrible. Don't go here. Went to get a snowboard wax and sharpen. A few weeks later I return to pick up the board and one of my bindings are broken. Rather then replace what they broke, they accuse me of breaking it myself and trying to get a new one for free. After they replace with cheap used bindings, the owner refused to give back the old ones stating 'i should have been nicer'. Once I left, he followed me out to the parking lot still shouting. I've never had luck with ski boots so I went here to check out the Apex boots. They (Richard) spent a lot of time with me and my feet and based on his expertise, I ended up giving traditional ski boots another shot and purchased a pair of Salomon boots instead of the Apex. I went there planning on splurging on custom inserts as well but he felt that they weren't necessary. They could have easily upsold me on more expensive boots and inserts but they didn't. This purchase was last year. I skied last season with these boots and though they were more comfortable than any boot I have ever had, there were a few issues (due to my feet). I finally made it back this week, reviewed the issues, and they (Ryan) again spent a lot of time tweaking/re-molding my boots. I read some other reviews and honestly I don't get how they could get less than 5 stars. Everyone I've dealt with is more than friendly, they know their products, they're honest, and I couldn't be happier with the service. I've gone to a number of ski shops and these guys are the best! read more

Ski Haus has a good selection of ski and snowboard equipment and an okay selection of clothes. The prices are reasonable and they have a great March end-of-season sale. I ended up checking out Ski Haus after a negative experience at Pedigree Ski Shop in White Plains (pushy sales people and expensive prices). The sales people at Ski Haus are really nice and laid back, which is why I ended up buying my skis here and bringing two friends to buy snowboard equipment. They are really willing to show you lots of options and give you room to think about it. One of my friends came in to buy bindings for a snowboard she bought at Sports Authority and they treated her with the same respect as if she bought a super expensive board from their own store. And they put on her bindings for free. I would highly recommend Ski Haus! read more

Simply the Best. My little granddaughter (2 1/2) after watching her brothers ski, simply had to have her own skis. I had little hope to find equipment for this little girl. Ski Haus to the rescue. I'd give it a zero if I could. We went in today to look at ski boots, and were promptly insulted and harassed by a white male employee, brown hair, pudgy, and incredibly rude. He told us we should never have expected to be helped a half hour before closing time. The store also has a sign at the entrance stating that they will not be enforcing the state of New York's mandatory mask policy. Only go there if you want to be infected by COVID, and be treated horrifically by the sales staff. The place should be closed down permanently. read more

I'm gonna start this review by saying that I did get good ski boots here that I hope to use for a long time. However, the whole experience to me was super negative. If I can compare it to anything it, it was like buying a car. All male sales people standing around mansplaining to you about all the things you do wrong in your ski life so they can up-sell you. The woman at the register was also super rude/unfriendly/unhelpful. Jeez- I spent $300 there and left feeling like a jerk. Just wanted my boots and to get the hell out of there. They tried to sell me a new pair of SKIs with bindings for $300. I then showed them the same SKIs with bindings attached for $280 on the internet. Even though their sign reads that they match any online price, they stood firm keeping the price at $300. Even though I was not having them fit the bindings to any boots, they came up with a BS reason as to why they cannot match the internet price. Then, they tried to sell me a shop worn pair of skis where they can make a bigger margin on. I knew better to walk out. These guys should be selling used cars instead...Keep away.... read more

Went by to see if they would mould my snowboard boots. Arrived 15 min before closing after a day on the slopes and was told it wouldn't be "ideal" because they close soon and would take too long. Sucked because they were giving me some pain and I was leaving for another trip in the morning. Also had dropped over $500 the day before and $500 to start the season. I have 3 kids to outfit with gear and will probably head to Pedigree next time. read more

This store has a great selection of recreational and ski racing gear as well as lots of sexy apparel. Moreover, Rich and the other owners are good guys who are seriously committed to winter sports. We've been buying race stock, boots, bindings and other equipment for our two junior ski racers there almost exclusively for a couple years, and we have always received sound advice and good fit. read more

i have never been to the ski haus, because i am not local, but i was buying a gift card for a friend who is. i originally planned to have it shipped, but it would have been late for the birthday party i wanted it for. (my fault, procrastinator!) the website gave the option for in-store pickup, which i chose, but needed to change the card to be in my friend's name so she could be the one to pick it up. i called and spoke to chris who was extremely helpful. he called me back even before he had an answer just to make sure he didn't leave me hanging. great customer service = 5 stars. thank you! read more
