My 212cc "Easy Start" pressure washer had become impossible to start after a couple of years…read more Westinghouse 3400. I called at lunchtime for an estimate to restore it to easy starting. Whoever answered was super helpful: he told me (without prompting) that it probably was the carb and on this model they just replace it as it's too small to clean and too cheap to replace with a new one. Indeed, it was! New carb (fully adjusted and with gaskets & misc fuel system parts) was about $30 on Amazon. Got it next day, put it in and WONDERFUL: it started on the first pull! Thanks SEM; you are top on my list. ps: lesson #2 is, don't put any fuel in this sort of engine if it has any ethanol- now I believe in TruFuel for clean pure gas, available from Home Depot.

They cleaned the carbs and proceeded to drop them, cracking and breaking them without telling me and just covered the damage with the air box. They told me the reason my bike still didn't run was the head gasket. I took the bike to a real mechanic who found their shoddy work, showed me, and proceeded to get my bike running for $300, but my original carbs are destroyed. My head gasket is fine. I will drive all the way to Longmont for a real mechanic rather than go to Bloody Knuckles.

After two days riding in the Mojave, then a couple days in the cooler air of Utah and Colorado, my 2013 BMW K1600 developed a misfire. Normally BMW bike owners only take their bikes to BMW specialists. But I like to think I can size up a quality person. I reviewed the area mechanics on line, then decided to call MHGM and Trevor (the owner) came right out. Trevor impressed me as a person who has a great deal of common sense, is a hard worker, will do his homework (will study specific reference material), very conscientious, and detail oriented.
