Because I have a Rav4 when my check engine light comes on it overrides my 4 wheel drive, cruise control, and skid control. Today's forecast is 8 inches of snow up to 3 feet in the mountains. I knew the check engine light is a malfunction because my software needs updated and isn't recognizing that my O2 sensor was replaced. All I needed was the check engine light reset so I could have 4 wheel drive to get back to Denver in the snow and ice tonight. Midas up the road turned me away. Initially the kind man, Andrew, who greeted me offered for me to pull up and pop the hood so he could let me know what size wrench to buy so I could unplug my battery and reset it myself. Once I had the hood popped he was helpful enough to detach it himself, make pleasant conversation while we waited a few minutes, and reattach the battery. It was a success, my 4 wheel drive is back and I feel so grateful that Andrew was able to give us peace of mind for our drive home tonight.

He said, well one of the spark plugs was cracked so we have to get a new one. picked up the truck and less then a day later the check engine light comes back on. Brought it back in and they said well "we figured it might be the coil packs." WHAT you are telling me for $1200 you replaced the spark plus and NOT the coil packs...interesting. Said, well can hook it up to the reader on Monday and see what the problem is...the problem was that the spark plugs needed changed along with the coil packs. Will NEVER recommend and will NEVER go back. Lack of customer service and experience. If you don't know how to fix a vehicle you should just say so!

They said it was the thermostat which we had suspected, paid them to replace it and they sent us on our way. The day after we had gotten the car back, it overheated on my daughter. We took it back and they said that it must've been a faulty thermostat and said they replaced it again and sent us on our way the second time. Again, it overheated. Took the vehicle into another shop and they confirmed a bad thermostat after we had already paid to have it replaced by Tim and gave him the vehicle 3 times to fix it. Tim then proceeded to tell us it wasn't the thermostat after all, we needed the water pump replaced. This is a newer Ford Explorer, not hard to diagnose, yet they somehow missed the "correct" diagnosis the few times. Bad mouthed the other shop. Tim also needs to understand that customers in his shop can overhear him cussing and badmouthing customers when he is on the phone. Will be contacting Better Business Bureau, but hoping to save others from this frustration and loss of money.
