We highly recommend this Sizzler for its food & outstanding service. This Sizzler has TVs with sports channels & comfortable seating. The senior steak with baked potato & salad bar is always seasoned & cooked to perfection. We dine at this sizzler on weekends & we have a favorite waitress,---Gelsey. Gelsey has a very professional approach to her work, being very efficient, energetic, enthusiastic, & service oriented. In conclusion, this Sizzler is our favorite place to dine in North County. read more

My wife and I decided to go here last night after assumed the delicious smell from TJ Maxx was coming from there. We thought it was a normal sit down restaurant but as we walked in the menu was on the wall. We were a little confused as people dressed like servers were at cash registers. There was a girl there that did not acknowledge us. We were looking at the menu which had great prices for what we were getting when a manager walked by us and also did not say anything. This was our first time here so when we ordered with a guy who finally acknowledged us I wasn't aware we tipped before we were apparently served. This is really half ass because unless I have cash I'm not tipping someone before they give me service. When I left one dollar and said I had cash I could see I set the mood for this waiter and already knew this was going to be a crap experience but hoped the food would make up for it. Wrong. Our server brought our drinks and kept my water refilled but not my wife's sprite. He offered dinner rolls which were delicious. My wife for the 11 oz steak a side of broccoli and a baked potato. She scarfed down the sides and left quite a bit of her steak. When I asked her why she said it was very spongey - as she picked up her fork and bounced it off the steak. I agreed with her. My steak was good on the outer parts that actually had flavor but when I got to the middle my steak had no flavor and looked like it had been sitting in water. The coloring when I opened it was unappealing but I was praying it would have tasted better. I had a loaded baked potato and it was awesome. After a few hours though my stomach started to feel on edge, VERY on edge and I have been in and out of the bathroom since then. All in all this place was not worth it. I'm glad we tried it to look at each other and say "we're good with probably never coming back here" and I will unfortunately be spending the day trying not to throw up. Please learn how to season and cook a steak. The tipping system is ridiculous. With the waiters I saw I would not tip them 20% right out the gate and get 10% service... read more

The salad bar was ok. There is a nice little variety. It definitely caters to elderly and children. Our waiter Hugo was very attentive and servers with a smile. The salads bar was kept clean, tidy and restocked. read more

I just had a meal today at Sizzler's in Oceanside. The food was great and Leo was an excellent waiter! He was telling us about a trip he was going to take to Italy. You go Leo.. read more

WOW! What a great sirloin steak. My wife and I got the Senior Sallad Combos. Incredible deal. 6 oz sirloin, for me, plus full salad bar for $16.99, with a beverage. But the best part was the incredible steak. Juicy and tender. It really was amazing. And of course they do have the best salad bar around. And the restaurant is so much nicer than you would ever think of a Sizzler, if you grew up going to Sizzler's in the old day. Service was great. Not just one person watching over us, 2 or three peoiple actually touched our experience. What a nice meal! read more

10 years ago, after several unchewable steaks, my family quit the Sizzler. Since then it's been remodeled, but retains much of the old menu. Last week I was emailed a coupon for a free Chicken Malibu dinner, something I hadn't tried. So I went alone at lunchtime, ordered the free Malibu, and paid for a side of sautéed mushrooms. Both cashier and waiter were personable, the place looked great, but soon the food arrived. Each mushroom had been burned crispy black on one side, so I cut the char off and ate what I could. The chicken was small and thin, crispy with ham and cheese on top, but a cold mushy underside coating. Then I tried a bite of mashed potatoes. Whoops. The hard ball of butter rolled off them onto my plate and my fork went CRUNCH. Crunch? Icicle crystals crunching? Yep, the potatoes weren't even thawed. How did the kitchen staff and waiter miss that one? While waiting for the waiter to return, I cut the meat to see if the middle was warm, which it was. But the thawing potatoes had made a cold water puddle, seeping under it. When the waiter arrived, I showed him the situation. He took the potatoes, gravy and meat to the kitchen, and returned with hot potatoes, but no fresh chicken, just the cold mushy pieces. I know it was free, but why do such a bad job on what was supposed to be a good promotion? On my way out, I spoke to the manager about the burned and frozen meal. He said he would look into it, and that was that. It was too bad, because it's in my neighborhood, and after the beautiful remodel, I'd really wanted to like the place. read more

I kind of just rediscovered sizzler! Their salad bar is way better than Souplantation or anything like that. It's the best deal at lunch especially for kids! Five stars easy! And great customer service read more

Enjoyed the atmosphere and the food. Food quality is above the average and staff are friendly.

Leo was the best server we have ever had a any sizzler in the continental US. Salad bar worth the money

Great place! Salad bar is always fresh and clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. We love coming here.

First time to this Sizzler and was really Impressed with everything. The wife and I came in on a weekend the last time we ate at sizzler was the one in Escondido which gets 0 stars. Happy to see Oceanside Sizzler is doing everything right to attract business and keep it. From the eye catching remodel work to the big screen tv's, lighting, art, pictures, vases, flowers ext... they really put a lot into it. Now to the food the salad bar was delicious well stocked and one of the best I've seen. For Lunch we had steak and lobster and steak and colossal shrimp good choice very tasty another plus was the sweet potato, rice and bread. Everything we tried was good no complaints, last but not least was the attentive service the waitress kept checking and taking care of us. Cant wait till we go back. Very Good job Sizzler read more

I love this place! Great service by Leo!!! A delicious salad bar....my steak was delicious also. Only had a problem once with the salad bar attendant not getting out of the way during the rush... The food and service and atomsphere here are GREAT!! I will be back soon! Keep up the good work!! read more

This Sizzler has great service at lunch time. It is a good deal for just the salad bar with all the choices, cold or hot. The salad bar is fresh and inviting with fruits, vegetables and updated dressing offerings. The fried chicken is crispy. The burrito/taco fillings are good, one can season to taste. The one offering which lacks the quality of the other hot bar items are the baked desserts which are usually dried out. The music at lunch time is fun and upbeat. read more

Great place and amazing staff! Request for Nate or Kristen as your server and you won't leave unhappy. They have a fresh salad bar and steaks that are always cooked just like I ordered it. Is a little over priced, but I am the type of person that will pay more for better food and a good time with friends and family. I will be back! read more

Great atmosphere with a FRESH salad bar...They are very clean and super friendly. Although the food was not liberally seasoned, it was delicious. Definitely a great choice for a meal. read more

Service was okay. Had to wait to get drink refills. Steak was way smaller than 14oz, not cooked to order, and tasted like char. Salad bar was good. read more

The food is good, but looks like there is a lack of waiters or they just communicate well, every time we come here we sit on our table and have to wait about 15 minutes before somebody even comes to us. Sometimes we even have to go and find a waiter ourselves as they don't seem to have control of who is coming in. Really really bad service. read more

I went there for the first time and loved it, Leo was an amazing server and he has a positive attitude something that should be in every restaurant i go to. read more

This was our second time visiting. We went to celebrate my grandpas birthday. Most the of the salad bar items that were supposed to be hot were cold. My grandpas steak was so tough he couldn't cut or chew it. My French fries were cold and the ice cream was almost pure liquid. It shouldn't be like this at 5:30pm. Definitely will not be returning. read more

Great food at a decent price. We had Leo as our server and by far the very best server we have ever had. We eat out often and at numerous restaurant. This was truly an exceptional experience. Sizzler is a bit out of our way but the food and excellent service will bring us back again. Great job Leo. You are very special and great service has become harder to find. read more

Arrived here and took 10 minutes to take our order cashier didn't even know how to work the computer. Was taken to our seat and then took another 15 minutes for the server to come and bring our water. Once water arrived then it took another 10 minutes just to get our order out once our order came out I literally only had 10 fries half of them were soaked in steak sauce steak. I will definitely not be coming here ever again lousy service would not recommend , it is over priced. Avoid at all cost, lousy service lousy food read more

Best experience ever. The host Elliott was super kind right off the bat. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. Food was tasty, and exactly what I needed. Definitely coming back. read more

I cannot rate the food this time as I waited almost 30 minutes for my order.I told our waiter at 20 minutes with no food then after 25 minutes he came back to say my order will be right up and did I want to talk to the manager? I said yes and almost 5 minutes later the manager Adam appeared with my food order.I complained about the wait and he doused me with a whole lot of attitude .We're busy and this is an high end restaurant and if you want fast service you can go to Arbys.Soooo,I got a credit back to my card and off we went.I did find another place to spend my money however. We love the Sizzler, but will not be going back as long as this manager is still there which I suspect won't be for long. PS: Leo was NOT there or this would not have happened of that I am 100% certain. He would be a great manager, but I'm sure he couldn't afford the pay cut. My family patronizes the Sizzler once or twice a month and when visitors come to town. Good food, reasonable prices and USUALLY good service, but nothing can justify getting a bad attitude instead of my food order. John Thomas Carlsbad read more

Upon arriving to this sizzler we were greeted by Mr. Cordova. He was very welcoming and escorted us to a very nice spot in sizzler. Jackie Cruz was our server. She was so kind and took extra good care of us. The salad bar was extra clean and the produce was fresh and very well presented. We loved all the extras that sizzler doesn't usually have. Jackie brought us baked potatoes and cheese toast. Best cheese toast I've ever had at sizzler. Mr Cordova also came by our table to insure everything was tasting good. And it was. He again greeted us as we left. Of all the sizzler so we have been to this one is the very best. We travel a lot and sizzler is the where we know we will have great food. Special thanks to mr. Cordova and Jackie. read more

This was my favorite Sizzler that I have been to. Very clean, courteous staff and the best server ever! His name was Leo and provided excellent customer service. So efficient and put a smile on my face. I don't write allot of reviews but this was worth taking time to share! Thank you Leo! read more

While this place won't win culinary awards, I was pleasantly surprised. The food is decent and it's a good value. Beats Souplantation hands down. The 'endless salad bar' has a lot more than salad and it's better quality than I expected. The onion rings on the salad bar were excellent! They have flat screens with sports playing and I was grateful they muted the tv's. read more

Pretty good food the stark is amazing and the staff is friendly and the buffet is great

Wow, what a birthday dinner! We walk in, order my food get seated promptly, awesome, I can't even get settled in before Matt, our server shows up to greet us. Extremely polite, and level headed, even at the end of the night. I could not believe how fast the food arrived, hot ready, and not to mention PERFECT. (The manager actually informed me that the cook who prepared our food was in that night for his first day on the job) -amazing! Matt would not let my drink empty, no matter how hard I tried. (I didn't really try, but still) this guy was flying around the restaurant helping his tables, heck even helping other tables that weren't his. (Yes this teamwork I Witnessed was that of a well oiled machine) not to falaccinaucinhillipificate Texas Roadhouse (that's a real word by the way) but, I've never had any experience there as I did in this sit down, neat, fast paced steakhouse. The manager who my wife and I wanted to speak with for all good things, was also polite, showed a true care for his job, staff, store, and reputation. I cannot explain the experience on this app, all I can say is I urge you to give it a shot. And I dare anyone to find a place more worth it than this. The only ball park steakhouse I can compare this to, and I do this sparingly, is the Beef House in Covington, IN, but for a fraction of the price. So if you are looking to have a fantastic meal, while still being frugal, Give SIZZLER a shot. And if you don't like the place, try McDonald's. read more

Came here for a quick dinner because the other steakhouse was jam packed. So we start to order and the price for two was crazy!!! For the amount of food you get for the price it's a huge rip off. We don't mind spending money but dang! The food overall was okay just wish the cooked the steak to my liking it was too well done. The waitress was nice though and checked in frequently. read more

This is a very small Sizzler compared to what we are used to. They didn't even have pizza for the kids. Thank God we went at 4pm, when we walked out it was super packed. Other than that it was ok. They sang Happy Birthday to our kids which was what we went for. read more

I ate at the Sizzler yesterday evening. I know the restaurant well and have eaten there many times in the past. The food is excellent, the ambience perfect for my needs and staff and management always welcoming. When I don't eat there often enough the servers tell me how much they missed me and inquire about my health and the health of my family. I want to give special kudos to Melissa for taking extra good care of me whether or not she's on duty as a server or doing other work in the area. She brightened my evening yesterday as she always does. I adore the soups and usually have one of the steaks with a yam and the full salad bar. The senior chopped steak disappeared before my visit and I haven't learned why, but there are many other choices for me to enjoy. My younger son will be visiting for a few days on Christmas Eve. He's a vegan and loves the Sizzler and I know he'll be happy if I take him there. read more

Had dinner for the first time here tonight and I'd have to say it wasn't all that great...food wise. The place is very clean and tidy and the employees were very nice. I ordered the burgundy sirloin with mushroom (something like that) and the hubby had the Malibu chicken. The food was not at all appetizing.. Except for the salad bar (I would only come here again for this).. I literally had 2 bowls of clam chowder soup and a bowl of beef stew. I hardly touched my entree. I requested for the steak to be medium rare and it came out burnt.. Well-well done. The steak sauce was disgusting and the rice pilaf wasn't cooked all the way. My hubby's chicken looked like they just melted a slice of Swiss cheese on top of it. The baked potato it came with was drenched in butter. He only took one bite and pushed his plate to the side. If anyone were to come eat here, please just try the salad bar. Don't waste your money on the entrees. read more

It's the same old sizzler... the flavor of the steak is about the only thing they have going for them. It's over priced for what it is. I would recommend outback for a meal priced about the same with a higher quailty. We did find a dirty plate in the stack of dishes we pulled from and the ice cream machine was broken. read more

Excellent service,Super clean....but the food is horrible from the salad bar to the deserts...That whole section of potatoes, mac&cheese, meatballs, soups ...Yukk!!! The upper management should really consider having dinner themselves ....im just saying!... The menu on the wall my wife order jumbo shrimp w/spinach and I order the Malibu chicken....on a rating scale 1-10 her rating was a 5 and I give it a 6... So I know theres potential...Come on Sizzlers you can do it !!!!! read more

First time I have been to Sizzler in 8 years and now I know why I quit going. I am all for paying for a good meal, no problem, but $32.00 for two people to eat this slop is insane. The service was terrible. I had a salad bar and my daughter a pasta dish with salad bar. We were finished with our salad before our drinks came and I had to go to the front and ask for the drinks. Our bread side came much later and the cheese bread is greasy and disgusting. I wanted to wipe down my tongue after having a bite. The greens in the salad bar were mostly fresh and the ranch dressing good, but it stops there. The rest of the food was low quality crap. Mac 'n cheese-really bad. After 35 minutes (It was not busy at this time of day) the pasta finally came and it was so salty that my daughter could not eat it. I tried it and YUK! I complained to the manager who informed me that he would only refund 2.00 because she ate the salad bar and offered her a steak or something else since we had to pay for the meal anyway. As you can imagine I was pretty pissed at this point. Guess he changed his mind because when he came back he refunded the $11.00 for the pasta. The location is pretty inside, but the food and the service sucks beyond belief. Really icky place. read more
