She greeted us with a smile, took our order, and seated us. She brought cheese toast, refilled our drinks, and brought clean plates ... all before we even asked. Went to sizzlers for a dinner date with my husband, food was great, the salad bar was kept up but as far as service it was a little slow, sat down and waited for our server to bring my husband mango lemonade but never came after waiting 15min I flagged down another worker Yadhira, she was very sweet and apologized and said she would take care of our needs and she did read more

Very disappointed with our meal. They changed to "Tri-Tip Sirloin" that was barely edible. Chewy, even the small part that wasn't overcooked was leathery and fibrous. Also very loud and echoing with the remodel...it's now more like a fast food joint. Service was seriously lacking. I understand that the kitchen may have been backed up but we saw our server twice, to confirm our order and bring our meal, and then had to flag down a passing busser to get a to-go box. We have been here at the Sizzler Merced multiple times and recently visited the after the renovation. Everything looks great now and the new self-serve model makes things way more efficient. Our server, Ashleigh was fantastic!! She was very attentive and swift! read more

I'm not one to go to buffet style places, though the salad bar is hands down a delight to pile onto a plate. Pretty fresh. Some items are a bit "from a package" looking like shredded carrots. Took my family for lunch. We all ordered the unlimited salad bar. It was clean and well stocked with a variety of salads, toppings, and dressings. They also had soups and fruits. There is a crunchy taco and nacho bar with toppings, chicken wings, and patatoes wedges. There is an ice cream bar with syrups and toppings, cobbler, and bread pudding. Everything tasted good, and they kept the food on the hot tables on rotation so it was kept fresh. Our waitress was very attentive and came by to check if we needed anything. The Sizzler in Merced was one of the best Sizzlers we have been to. The cleanliness, service and food deserved a Five Star rating. The Manager Diego was very attentive to the customers and was helping sweep and clear tables. Our server Pricilla was never late on refills and asking if we needed anything. We travel and dine out frequently at Sizzlers throughout California and this has to be one of the best if not the best Sizzlers we have visited. read more

This restaurant for me has been one of the few places that has remained consistently good throughout the years. Coming as a young adult in college and now as a parent, the food is still delicious and the service is still great. Our server Julie today was very sweet and quick. We have been to this Sizzler dozens of times when we make trips to Merced from our home in Sonora. It's ideal for the varied food preferences of our family. Everyone can find something they like to eat. The service is always swift and courteous. The salad bar is filled with fresh veggies. Everything is clean and friendly. Our server on the most recent trip, Yasmin, checked on us several times to see if we needed drink refills or clean plates. I went this past weekend and food was pretty good and all of the staff was kind and attentive.

I have not been here in a while decided to go to have dinner I've been done the restaurants where the cashiers are faster getting people to their seats. We were seated or waited for our waitress to come help us. I mentioned to her that there is no more chicken wings. She said we'll be high on that we had to wait for a second plates get more from the buffet. It seemed the manager of this establishment needs to be evaluate everything prompt service of the register cashiers that are on their job and maintenance for their food. read more

We always love coming to Sizzler. We had the pleasure of being served by Destiny. She's so friendly, knowledgeable & extremely helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed & was efficient. Her charisma is infectious which made the service seem like we weren't just guests, but family. The food was prepared just the way we like. Again, another reason why we love coming here. Worst Service of any restaurant I have ever been in in my 65 years manager who is unengaged an Uninterested in her staff or her customers. Waitress who forgets the order is even then put in. 40 minutes is the wait time for this restaurant to provide your meal. Shrimp was absolutely rubber steaks were dry. The managers lack of customer care, Customer service and employee management is missing in action. read more

Waitress was great. Food was absolutely horrible. Baked potato so dry you couldn't eat it. Steak had A lot of fat. And the person who rang us up was rude and pushy to take the order quick when there was no line. The salad bar was the best part, and that's mediocre. The portion they give you is ridiculous only a small handful of fries. I spent 100 for overpriced nasty food and I won't be back. read more
