And honestly I can't hate on the yummy salad bar it just makes me so sad it's no longer the same sizzler. I got a salad made and soup for $11.00 which isn't bad at all. Really for the salad but the soup we all know its not freshly made but it was ok I guess. What gets me about this sizzler location is the employees. Why are you so sad and upset to help customers. My husband's favorite restaurant. The service was very pleasant. Smiles on all workers. Even turned down the AC cause it was really cold. It's always freezing in this one. But they kindly adjusted it no problem. I wish they weren't stingy with the bread. They should just bring 2 for every person at the table. That's their signature item next to the steak if you ask me. I always loved Sizzler, until now. This will be my last visit. Sizzler use to be known for it's All You Can Eat Salad Bar and cheese toast. Now they have reduced the salad and dessert choices and removed the pasta. So no more spaghetti, baked potato, apple crisp, bread pudding, cookies and pasta salads on the salad bar. I ordered a strawberry lemonade and the server forgot about us. I saw her bringing drinks to her customers that know her. Then my husband ordered his steak with mushrooms and onions. Extra charge of course. The meals arrived, but with no additional toppings for the steak. The server came by and we asked for the missing items. She remembered what the additional items were. He could just look down at the plate when she's picking it up from the kitchen to see the order is correct. By the time my husband received his onions and mushrooms his steak was already cold. Me and my husband came on Veterans Day yesterday and I ordered the steak and jumbo shrimp and my husband ordered the salad bar when he came back to the table 10 minutes later he complained the soup was cold however I'm still waiting for my steak and shrimp the waitress apologized as now it has been 15 minutes she immediately gave me a plate to serve myself at the salad bar once my steak and shrimp arrived the steak was still uncooked and the baked potatoe was cold I sent the steak back and when it was returned it was rough and hard to chew. So disappointed! I had the cheese steak sandwich and fries. I don't know what kind of meat I was served, but it could not have been beef. It was super gummy and under cooked. I swallowed whole most bites simply because I did not want to waste my money by not eating. My husband chose the salad bar which was equally unsatisfying. The food was bland on the salad bar and the selection was worst than what you would find offered at a cheap cafe at a 2 star hotel. To top it off there was absolutely no diversity in the workers at this location. The customers represented the wonderful melting pot we see in America - the old, the young, people of color and different faiths, whites, gays...you name it. Been wanting to go and try sizzler and finally did yesterday and i was surprised about the quality of food they have. The tri-tip steak is and the steak and lobster as well. Came here twice. Had I written this review after the first time I would've given 4-5 stars. It was my first time back since the renovation. I liked the old menu better but what I ordered was good. Burger and salad bar. Good enough that we went a second time. Never, ever, order the Santa Maria tri-tip ...or something like that...had the name Santa Maria in it. It was a special. I had to wipe the meat with a napkin to get the super salty seasoning off, and after that it was still so salty. Our waitress went on break and informed us that another would be serving us. After our food was served not one of the 4 waitresses came to check on us. Compare to other Sizzlers this place is a 5. They have premium salad bar toppings you dont find at other locations. Their hot food options at the salad bar is limited, but they have enough to keep you interested. If you want a gourmet salad you can definitely make one here. First I want to say how clean the place is and the salad bar was on point everything looked good and fresh and clean. But the reason why I am writing this review is the customer service I received today was the excellent service from the young lady and gentleman behind the mixed bar there name is Katheryn and Fernando, I talk to the manager on duty her name was Maria Porter wonderful person. Didn't come here before the remodeling, but I love sizzlers and this one kind of takes the cake as far as cleanliness compared to others in the area. Food was great, only complaint was the waitress didn't come to check on us, not even once and didn't bring our drink. We got our food before we got our drinks and that's because we flagged someone down who ended up being the manager. He was very sweet and apologetic. I wanted to try this place after I saw the CNN Parts Unknown Anthony Bourdain show. I tried the salad bar which had so many options like several types of greens; toppings like corn, carrot, onion, blue cheese, etc.; with different dressings. They also offered soup (almondigas, clam chowder), tacos with meat sauce, chicken wings. The server gave us freshly toasted and buttered garlic bread which was alright. It was a bit underwhelming. As I sit in your Carson location I am mesmerized at how bad the food quality has gotten. I was here to give this establishment another chance after having been sorely dissatisfied/disappointed after the remodel that took place a few years back. Well today showed me that this place should just be forgotten. I paid for the salad bar hoping to eat the only food worth consuming here (the chicken wings) and to my dismay the recipe has been changed and they now taste as bland as sand paper. I had my doubts before I came here because Sizzler kind of went downhill in the past but this location is amazing! Their salad bar is top notch with premium and healthy ingredients like spinach and kale and fresh avocados. They even have artichoke hearts! The best part is the salad mixing station where they mix your salad and you can get extra ingredients like chicken breast and shrimp. Chantay is who usually helps me at the mixing station and she is very friendly. Shawnterra is usually my server and she is very friendly and attentive. I absolutely love coming to this Sizzler. The ingredients are always fresh and the staff is the most friendly group of people I have ever encountered. Lilia always stands out because she is so accommodating and sweet! She is always in a great mood and I can't imagine she ever has a bad day. I also love that this location is always so spotless even when it's crowded. The line at the cashier moves quickly and I can enjoy my lunch hour without having to wait in a long line. I love to indulge on the chicken wings and mac and cheese. The cheese bread is always perfect too. Of course the salad ingredients are the best. The corn and the beets are my favorite. Went to lunch with my aunt and had a great time! Ordered the Steak and shrimp fettuccini and upgraded my steak from the 4 oz to the 6 oz. There was an option to get 8 or 14 oz but I didn't need all of that. I also added the salad bar to my order. Everything at the salad bar was fresh looking and tasting. They also have a salad station that adds premium ingredients and specialty dressings. Afterwards they toss it all up for you. I didn't use the service but my aunt did and when I tasted her salad, it was delicious! Customer service was excellent! The manager came by our table and asked us if everything is going ok and that's not the first time that's happened at this particular location. This is the 2nd time in as many weeks i have eaten here. Last time i was with a group of 4 for my birthday last Friday the 13 nov. today i am here alone. And. Not once did a server come to my table to introduce themselves. I did not get any garlic toast or asked if anything was needed or if everything was alright. The ONLY time the server came by was when i was away from the table. I have been sitting here for over 1 1/2 hours and still not one person has greeted me at my table. I did ask another waiter for garlic toast she asked me who my server was i said i did not know and she said she would let her know. 3 minuets alter a Latina girl showed up with one cold piece of garlic toast and said i was the salad bar and thats why she didn't bring the toast. I asked her is she planned on coming back when she saw me and all she said was. Were very busy sir. Never seen her again. I have been getting asked occasionally from steven who i know is working hard if I'm ok but im not his table. And if i am no change of waiter was told to me. I refuse to come to a place where i will be ignored the only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the food is good but the service sucks. DISGUSTING!!! I went last week for the salad bar. I went to get some melon, and as I sat down and looked at my plate, one of the pieces of melon had a CLEAR bite someone took from it. I told the waitress, she says "oh what?!" Took my plate, went to look at the melon on the salad bar, walked right past me, then continued serving dishes from the kitchen. There was no apology, didn't get the manager... nothing. I waited for a couple minutes, just standing there before I decided to just leave. I have not been to this location in years and was pleasantly surprised to see the upgrades. The salad bar was clean and well stocked, attendants were very busy refreshing all of the items. I ordered a Malibu chicken with unlimited salad bar, my Mom ordered the unlimited salad bar and my son ordered fried shrimp with one trip to the salad bar. We all took a trip to the salad bar and enjoyed our salads along with items from the hot bar. It was a very busy Sunday afternoon so we figured it might be while before we got our entrees. 45 minutes after we placed our order we were still waiting for our meals. I asked the server if she could check on our order and she said that the baked potatoes were not ready, despite a table seated 15 minutes AFTER us was served a baked potato. At this point I asked the server to speak with the manager to see if they could reimburse us for our meal since it was obviously a problem with our order. At this point we have been waiting for an hour, at a BUFFET no less! The manager finally comes over to say they have reimbursed us for our meal and that they have cancelled our order because the server said we didn't want it anymore. I have to say I almost flipped my lid because I was so livid!!! Why on earth would we ask for our money back and still sit and wait for our food if we didn't want it. The manager was no help either, he offered to let us continue to eat at the salad bar, are you kidding me!?!?! All we wanted was the food we ordered and recognition that 45 minutes is absolutely too long to wait for a meal at a buffet. I will not be going back to this location, horrible service and the management did not try to accommodate us for the inconvenience of the long wait. read more
