Although I will say all you people do well done steaks there is another way. I used to get well done too. I understand where you're coming from but there's nothing like a medium rare. We ordered an appetizer at the beginning. Hush puppies never arrived. Which was fine didn't need them by the end. They had a live band there which is why we went there in the first place. However, it's first come first seat and the band is in the front so we ended up sitting too far back to actually hear the band and by the time we got up there and the band was going all the seats were taken, and there's nowhere to really stand so we just left. The art is very modern, but most of the decor seems pretty old and I felt like it didn't mesh well . Overall, pretty good place I think it would be cool to stay there one day since the other side isn't inn.

We were served at an upper level, and anyone who likes to drink a lot might be persuaded to eat at the lower level where the bathroom was. There is an "office" there that has terrible signs touting locally-made potato chips, T-shirts, and other gifts. I hope they're not relying on these as an income stream. Very nice server... with too many to wait on our floor. Service was a bit slow, but you have to accept this as par -- anywhere you go. No worries. I had the Eggs Benedict, a Boozy Hot Chocolate, and the highly-acclaimed "Donut." The eggs were very good, but the potatoes bites were soggy... might have been cooked a minute or two more. The Boozy Hot Chocolate seemed far more chocolate than anything else. Live, and learn. The "Donut" was good, but wasn't what I'd expected. It was more the consistency of French toast, very doughy, and served with whipped cream. The fact that I didn't care for it didn't mean that it's bad. The only thing I'd change in my experience was that I tried unsuccessfully to flag down our server to bring some coffee to me. We ran out of time before the check came (as 5 of the 6 had to go back to work -- yes, on a Sunday) Still, the menu looked interesting and I'd probably come back -- but probably at an off-peak time.

That's really all I was looking for. We spent the majority of our time exploring Union Market area which is less than a 5 minute walk. The hotel is well decorated and has a beautiful boutique vibe. Staff was friendly, check in was easy, and they have an amazing restaurant on the rooftop that has AMAZING tacos. The only downside to the stay is having to park in the garage for $60 a night. There is street parking available, but that's not always guaranteed. Overall a great experience and would certainly stay again when out in that area.

There was a rooftop bar as and a restaurant in the basement which has a great dish. There was brunch available and we were given drink tickets. Which is fancier But because we were staying nine nights, it appealed to me to take a hotel that had apartment styled rooms . I don't like Airbnb, because I don't wanna be responsible for Housekeeping... But we definitely wanted to have what we thought would be a kitchenette We took a one bedroom suite, which turned out to be a fully functional one bedroom apartment... A spacious king size bedroom, normal relatively small New York style bathroom which was absolutely fine, and a full living room with the dining table and a small kitchen We utilized every aspect of that hotel, including the laundry room that was available for a small charge, Trader Joe's which was a five minute walk away, Whole Foods which was a five minute walk in the other direction, and most important... The Foggy Bottom metro station. Within 20 minutes you can be anywhere, including Ronald Reagan airport... A direct shot on the blue line For those unfamiliar with Washington DC, foggy bottom is the closest metro station to Georgetown... Which is a leisurely 10 to 12 minute walk from the hotel to the center of the and dining district. The metro couldn't be easier to use, and the people at the hotel will help you find your way if you're unsure... And remarkably... The people who work at the metro stations are also incredibly helpful and patient... Quite a change from San Francisco where I live or New York where they pretend they are an idiot if you can even find them Another thing that makes the metro system so easy to use is that you can just click your phones and do auto pay if you have Apple Pay Google pay or something similar. I don't like other cities where you need to use that to charge some type of transit card... You can just directly do it there. Our tickets, no transit cards, no nothing just in and out. Back to the hotel, the restaurant was disappointing. The appetizer we served was so much of a joke that we didn't even eat dinner there. We just went somewhere else for dinner... But... And this is a good Butt... There are many restaurants within a 15 minute walk, including some of our favorites. And because we love to eat it happy hour there are several happy hour options available, including two branches of Founding Farmers We are a bit older, so we don't stay out that late in the day, and we don't care if we eat relatively early. So we usually enjoy loading up unhappy hour and moving from there. The Melrose also does a happy hour on cocktails and a few appetizers at all again for around the corner The front desk staff was astronomical, with the front desk manager really being a superstar. We were very appreciative of the excellent service by guest services manager Brandy, and her senior receptionist Jasmine. Service was excellent all the way around, with another set of thanks going to Saif , one of the bell/ door staff It's fair to say the hotel is not fancy nor the rooms elegant... But it was just so darn perfect for our knees and we would not consider staying anywhere else Also, the Watergate hotel is a few minutes walk away, so if you wanted to do something a little fancy or camping, you can go there for a drink. We did and had a nice time. I'm not sure I would want to stay in the place. The hotel is gorgeous but the rest of the Watergate is deteriorating So, a review, thanks to Brandy and her staff, the exceptionally large accommodations, the full size apartment at a very affordable price, and the location, I can't imagine staying anywhere else It was as far away from being a "corporate "hotel as I could've imagined

How nice is that. The lobby is clean as well as the entire hotel. You are walking distance to The Lincoln Memorial. Train station is a five minute walk and a small market in the pathway that keeps late hours. Loved everything about my stay here . Thank you!

We had such a lovely stay…read more We arrived after a red-eye flight and took the train to the hotel, so we were exhausted by the time we got there. Brenda greeted us when we arrived, and she was absolutely wonderful so sweet, welcoming, and helpful. She must have noticed how tired we were because she let us know that early check-in was available for $75. We happily paid it, and after traveling all night, it was worth every penny! We stayed on the 7th floor in room 717. The room was very clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. The bathroom was nice, and the bed was especially comfortable. Our view wasn't the greatest lol, but that didn't bother us at all. We ate at The Dubliner restaurant and really enjoyed it. Having a good restaurant connected directly to the hotel was so convenient. One of my favorite things about the hotel was the beautiful sitting area on the second floor. They offer complimentary hot coffee, lattes, and tea throughout the day. I loved being able to sit there, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee. Such a thoughtful touch! We also noticed the old-fashioned outgoing mail slots located between the elevators. You can actually drop your mail into the slot from each floor! I thought that was so charming and unique. Little details like that give the hotel so much character. I kept thinking that I wished our kids were with us because they would have loved it. We will definitely stay here again! And I truly hope we get to see Brenda on our next visit. She was so kind and informative and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. I can't say enough good things about the Phoenix Park Hotel…read more My girlfriend and I stayed here while in DC for the Warped Tour, and from the moment we arrived, the customer service was absolutely top-notch. Every staff member we encountered at the front desk, regardless of the shift, was friendly, professional, and genuinely seemed to care about making our stay a great experience. The hotel went above and beyond by allowing us to check in several hours early so we could get settled and make it to the concert on time. After checkout the next day, they also let us keep our car in valet until 11:00 PM because they knew we were spending the day at the festival. That level of flexibility and customer service is rare these days. What really stood out was that around 10:30 PM, the hotel actually called to make sure everything was okay since we hadn't returned yet. That simple gesture showed how much they care about their guests. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and in a fantastic location near Union Station. As an added bonus, The Dubliner is connected through the lobby and served one of the best chicken sandwiches I've had in a long time. If you're visiting DC, do yourself a favor and stay here. The Phoenix Park Hotel has earned a customer for life.

Wanted to do a staycation and watch the Nats game and great location for it…read more We did check in before 4pm and would just drop off our bags at bell desk when room was ready, but the agent said he found us a room, but didn't tell us it was a handicap room with just one bed (we booked two queen beds). It was a nice corner room though with so many windows but not much lights at night. The rollaway bed was so uncomfortable thus the less star rating. I did workout in their small fitness room and was very happy to see two Peloton bikes and a first their Peloton row. Haven't seen this in any hotel. Loved it and you get Hyatt pts for using them. Win win. Loved that lobby smell every time you walk in and the hotel restaurant that we dined for breakfast was very good as well. Best chocolate milk ever! Overall we had a very good stay here.

I do agree with some of the other reviews that the rooftop bar was lacking a bit of tastefulness once its closing time. I didn't enjoy the vibe from the bar staff ladies either. But the roof is definitely a vibe for sure and offers an incredible view of the city. The lobby and rooms were all very clean and comfortable. One thing I'd add, plan to pack your own toiletries. The soap here smells horrible. Overall, we enjoyed our stay here & i would stay here again! I was afraid it may not be child friendly, but it was!

The shower was one I've never seen before it was super cute, and it would be even better as a staycation. I came here for a dc girls weekend, and it was in the perfect location. Easily walkable to all museums and other things in the area. A wawa was right across the street which made things a lot easier if we needed to grab something quickly. The pool area was cute. They had some pool chairs and cabanas available for guest. I went during Juneteenth weekend, and they had a band playing on Friday, then Saturday night they had a rooftop party that was cute and free to guest staying at the hotel. I had a great time here with my friend. We also browsed the lobby which has the button wall, the photo wall with the light. And some other cool stuff. Would i stay again, absolutely! I booked this place last minute, and the pricing felt quite reasonable for the area…read more Upon check-in, the hotel had a lively, buzzing atmosphere. I will say that the spaces appear larger in photos than they are in reality, but it felt more cozy than cramped, which worked well for us. The room itself wasn't particularly spacious--fairly typical for DC--but we were pleasantly surprised with an upgrade from a queen to a king bed. The bathroom, however, was more spacious than expected. The interiors are stylish and distinctive, with a strong purple and pink theme. There are tributes throughout the property to Ruth Bader Ginsburg and other women activists, which gives the hotel a unique personality. If that's not your preference, there are plenty of similarly priced hotels nearby--but I personally appreciated the concept. The location was a big plus. We were able to walk to most major attractions, and when needed, public transportation (bus and train) was just a 5-10 minute walk away. Food was a highlight. The shawarma wings were excellent--though I would have liked a touch more salt--and the pickled chilies and cooling yogurt-based dip were unexpected but complemented the dish very well. The burger and fries were also standout items. The happy hour burger, priced at $10, was filling and well worth it. As someone who takes potatoes seriously, I can say the fries were done right. Drinks were equally impressive. We tried a mix of wines, beers, a Negroni, and a few cocktails--all were well-executed. One minor disappointment was the handling of the "unlimited" coffee, tea, and water mentioned at check-in. While appreciated in theory, they did run out of both coffee and water during our stay. It might be more practical to have refill stations rather than distributing limited cans after advertising unlimited availability. On a positive note, they did give us a welcome nutribar at check in and there were apples to pick at the lobby, which was a nice touch. Overall, the service was excellent, with the exception of one staff interaction. However, I wouldn't judge the entire experience based on a single instance--everyone has off days. If you are going to charge extra for a room that's "READY!" It should be "READY!" Breakfast is not included and it is $25 per person but you have better options at a walking distance from the hotel. I also have to recognize Maxime as she has a great personality, light, easy to speak with and kind. Great customer service! I have stayed in Lebua (Thailand), jW Marriott in South Korea and other hotels and never paid an additional fee to provide a room that it is already ready as they know you will be there.

It's quaint and charming, which is a trade off for…read moremany that are used to the comforts of a 'normal' hotel - especially for business travel: walls are thin, wireless internet is sporadic, and don't get any ideas that there are actual desks or anywhere to sit in the rooms (or at least mine - room #5 had just a little vanity that is definitely not ergonomic for computer work). Things to keep in mind if you are traveling for business. But the idiosyncrasies are a trade off for charming inn-type things. The entryway smells like freshly baked bread, there are 'holiday' decorations (fall now . . . so think pumpkins and cranberries), and you will likely run into a stuffed rabbit with a tea set sitting on a floral loveseat. Also note that its not handicap friendly - nary an elevator to be seen here - but at least panting up the three flights of stairs replaces a trip to the gym. The inn staff is absolutely adorable, and they serve breakfast in the mornings. Breakfast gives you a choice of a waffle, blueberry pancake or omelet, as well as other items like cheese and cereal. Room rates are reasonable - even more reasonable if you choose one of the rooms with a shared bathroom - and the location is great. I'd recommend the Inn if you're looking for something clean, comfortable and wayy different than a skyscraper modern-ed out steel and glass hotel - and even if you can't get wi-fi in your room, sitting in the downstairs in your PJs huddled over your laptop's wireless connection in the lobby really will at least feel like home.
