I rented and returned a car without issue only to receive notice a few days later that I'm being accused of what ultimately amounted to 1,400 GBP for damage to the vehicle. "Damage" that I might add would be considered normal wear-and-tear in any other circumstance. The evidence against me is suspect at best and in at least one instance completely fraudulent. I have photos of the damage (nicks, scratches, etc.) being present at the time of rental. A month later and half way around the world I'm still contesting. I suppose I can accept part of the blame for not checking Yelp beforehand. If I had, I probably would gone elsewhere given the number of outright negative reviews.
