Friendly service, great prices! I plan on renting from here again in the near future!

Absolutely the WORST car rental experience of my life. I waited in line for half an hour (with only two people ahead of me). They didn't have the car I wanted, and took another half hour to dig one up (a Chevy Yukon for $400/day(!!) the same as they overcharge for a Caddy Escalade, and nearly twice what the other companies charge for a Yukon. If my grandchildren had not been waiting in the heat after sittin in a plane for 3 hours, I would certainly have walked out. If this were not bad enough, I was also charged for renting the original car I never wanted never used. Their "help line" in the Philippines is completely useless; if you ask for a Supervisor they are not available until some time after the Sun burns out. I'm now having to dispute the additional charge for the car I never rented with my credit card company. What a bunch of pirates! The poor people behind the desk were courteous at least. Someone behind me in line told me the agents were taking so long having lengthy chats with each customer (when they could see the five or six customer waiting in line) because the company forces them to "up-sell" customers into renting a more expensive car, or pressuring you into paying for some other useless add-on like the navi system that's not as good as the free one already on your phone. The agents are also trained to po-face and make you feel guilty because they will be punished if you give SIXT a poor review when you get the typical "How did we do" follow-up email. Must be a great place to work! I am so flattered that SIXT most graciously took a whole $100 off of my $5,000 bill after I completed the survey. When I rent a car from civilized companies like Hertz, Budget, National, or Avis , I walk in, give them my name, sign the contract, get the keys and drive away. Of course, if its a busy day they take longer, but the line moves fast. If could I give SIXT at Denver Airport five negative stars, I would. read more

Worst car rental place ever!!! Do not, I repeat do not use this place. They seem to like to use bait and switch tactics. Give you a nice newer car but there are no keys in like there should be, so you go to ask for them and they just switch the car to a much older one with a lot of damage to document. You do the check out inspection by yourself, take a ton of pictures and videos not just in their checkout form because you can't access them to prove the damage was there after you submit it. So take all the photos and video outside of their form too and save in your phone. They check for damage at check in and tell you all looks good and that you documented all the damage at checkout but then send you an email claiming there is new damage!!!! The worst!!!! read more

Absolutely DO NOT rent from Sixt. Complete scam to charge for AI fabricated damage. Will happen 100% of the time you rent from here.

I learned my lesson to NOT rent from this company again. Seemed like an affordable company through the website, but there are many hidden fees once you receive your payment breakdown through email. My husband paid with his card and because it had his name, they said they needed to add him as an additional driver - which led to more fees added, had they informed us of that then I would have used my card with my name on it (the same exact card). After returning the car, I received an email with damage report to the front bumper in the center - I was the only driver of this car and I would own it had I hit anything, but I did not. So I asked for before photos with a date stamp on it but they ignored my request and just sent me the damage cost with a link to pay. Please please document all angles of the car if you rent from them, this was my first rental (age 27) so this could be my naivety, but document like crazy with your own phone!! -- Denver, CO location read more

Worst car rental company , worst prices worst customer services. They charges extra expenses out of no where

I had to take a toll road during my rental and Sixt didn't offer any transponder so I had to pay after the return. The invoice came today: Toll road fee $ 2.00 Administrative fee: $14.99 That's quite a markup and enough for me to never use this company again! Sorry that I can't give 0 stars but that's what they deserve! Stay away from them! read more

Sixt - Very hard to see but they will charge you for tiny scratches like this that previously exists on the car. - Car Rental Near Me - Denver, Colorado

Don't rent from this location embezzlement and black mail occurs at this agency. First off the car was not full of gas when I took possession of it and pointed it out to the exit attendant. She said she would make note of and to bring it back at or less than the current level and or they would refund me a portion of the rental. Additionally I told her there were several small scratches in several areas on the exterior of the car. Again she said she would note it. When I returned the car and ask about the refund because of the gas deficiency, the receiving attendant said nothing was notes and I had no recourse because of that. But most importantly the attendant took possession of the car and said I was "good to go". Three days later I get a notice about a 1/4" scratch on one of the rims of the car. $322.00 charge. I told them the scratch was there when I took the car and notes it with the exit attendant. They said there was no record of it. Looking at other posts here this happens all the time at this location. Don't rent from here scam and embezzlement, black mail. read more

I reserved the largest SUV available--a Chevy Suburban--months in advance to ensure we had enough space for our baby and grandparents to travel comfortably. The day before our trip, I received a call informing me that the Suburban might not be available. To keep my business, they offered free gas and a $250 voucher. When I arrived the next day, I explained the situation to the agent at the counter, who confirmed the details in the system. I even saw a Suburban in the lot and asked if I could take it, but they said it was being held for someone else. Instead, they offered me a smaller SUV at a lower price, canceled my Expedia reservation, and rebooked me directly with Sixt. I spent over an hour at the counter dealing with an employee who kept asking others for help with the system. When I asked for a manager, I was told there wasn't one available that day. After finally getting a vehicle, we loaded our belongings--only to be told it was the wrong car. The grandparents and baby had to stand in the cold while they found the right one. On top of that, they only gave me a $150 voucher instead of the promised $250, charged me $74 for prepaid gas, and didn't apply the agreed discount. When I called customer support, they said they couldn't help until after the invoice was processed. Once I received the invoice, I called again, only to be told that the smaller GMC Yukon they gave me was actually an "upgrade" and that nothing could be done. Every time I was transferred to discuss the voucher, I waited over 30 minutes with no response. This company is a scam. Their customer service is terrible, and they don't honor their promises. The worst part? The grandparents had to ride three hours each way with luggage on their laps, and we ended up paying more than what was agreed upon. Avoid this company at all costs. read more

My experience with Sixt Rent a Car at the Denver International Airport branch was not only disappointing but also deeply concerning. I was issued a Genesis GV80 that had a serious tire defect (a hole in the tire) which caused a tire blowout while I was driving. Sixt was fully aware of this defect when they rented the vehicle to me, yet they failed to address it, putting my life at significant risk. When I went to the Denver Airport branch to resolve the issue, I encountered Cody Barrows, the general manager. Instead of taking responsibility for Sixt's clear failure to provide a safe vehicle, Cody verbally abused me in front of other customers and threatened to blacklist me if I didn't accept a much lower-class vehicle. He pressured me into accepting a Nissan Altima, which was far below what I had paid for under the Sixt+ subscription. As if I would want to spend my money again in this type of business. Cody's behavior was unprofessional and discriminatory, clearly influenced by my identity as an Arab Muslim. His hostility and intimidation left me feeling humiliated, unsupported, and unsafe. To make matters worse, William Sprague, a manager trainee from the Cherry Creek branch, involved himself in the situation and showed no concern for the serious safety issues I raised. William had already mishandled my previous complaints at the Cherry Creek branch, and once again, he dismissed my concerns here. He even took part in the bait-and-switch tactics, making it clear that resolving my issue was not a priority for either him or Cody. I have paid $1,849 for the second month of my Sixt+ subscription, only to receive unsafe vehicles, threats, and disrespect in return. Sixt continues to ignore my attempts to resolve the issue. I feel compelled to warn others about Sixt's false advertising, discriminatory treatment, and lack of regard for customer safety. If you're considering renting from Sixt at Denver International Airport, be prepared for unsafe vehicles and a hostile, unhelpful staff, especially under the management of Cody Barrows and with the involvement of William Sprague. read more

Tried to call the company to tell them about a ding on the bumper, since we had not caused it. Left on hold for twenty minutes and then told was told that my confirmation number was a cancellation number -- what? but I have one of your cars, how could my reservation be cancelled if I have one of your cars. Like others.... If I could give them a ZERO, I would. Rented a BMW X5. When we arrived, none were available. So naturally, they upgraded me to an X7 ( for a small fee). As soon as we got on the highway, the check engine light came on. We immediately returned. They then put us in a Mercedes. Left on our journey again. When we were 10 minutes down the road, the low tire pressure light came on. Again, we returned to rental location. They put us in a 3rd vehicle apologizing profusely and telling me they would elevate our predicament to management. We eventually made it to our destination, where we discovered the rear drivers tire and a screw in it. Called the "roadside assistance". They suggested : 1st - Drive back to the rental location ( 2 hours away). 2nd - "call somebody to fix it". Their "roadside assistance" is really "roadside useless advise". I removed the tire and found a repair shop to fix it. Once I returned it, they sent me a damage notice for a "leaky tire". DO NOT RENT from these clowns! read more

Zero Stars!! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE Company. They will nickel and dime you and make up charges. I was just charged for a "traffic violation" that they alleged happed during my rental period. They would not tell me what kind of violation and in fact, never responded to any of my emails asking for confirmation. All of this after they dropped a charge of $1500 for "damage" to the vehicle that we did NOT do. Please do research before you rent form this company. Their is an actual Facebook group dedicated to Sixt Scams and they have lost lawsuits for the exact same violations, paying out millions of dollars. Awful, awful company. Oh! This is the most horrid rental company I have worked with, by far. When arriving to sixt, we were offered an upgraded vehicle. When we received our invoice after leaving Denver, we were charged double what we were initially quoted for. Look, we all know rental car agencies are the worst. I'd say they are easily the worst part of any vacation. I dread picking up my rental car as soon as I get on the plane. It usually involves a combo of: - Multiple lines - Waiting - Shuttles - Sweating - Upselling I hate the experience SO MUCH, that what I usually do now is I just look at Yelp reviews at an airport I'm flying into, and rent from the highest rated one, regardless of cost. It' just not worth saving $20-$100...but delaying your vacation. (and my vacations are often short, rarely more than a few days!) Well, for Denver...I could do that. I need a vehicle with clearance because I was going to be driving to some rough trailheads. I went with SIXT and...it was...amazing? Seriously, not sure why the hate here? The only negative is that the shuttle did, indeed, take FOREVER to arrive to the airport. Probably 20-30 minutes? But once we got to SIXT the lines were q uick and the clerk that helped me, Anthony, was super-helpful and efficient. They didn't have the Tacoma I ordered so they gave me a Tundra (an even BIGGER truck, overkill for our needs but, whatever, we'll take it) which is technically a free upgrade. I'm not sure if I'm into SIXT now, but I definitely trust this location. (that's another perplexing thing about rental car agencies, the same damn company varies a TON form airport-to-airport...) read more

I have rented hundreds of cars from nearly every car rental company in the country, and this is the worst customer service I have ever encountered. When the tire on our rental car failed we were on the other side of the state. We quickly discovered that the lug nuts Sixt had installed were tamper-proof and the tire iron in the car couldn't remove them. Even the auto club couldn't remove them. We paid to have the car towed to a Firestone tire store. Sixt has no customer support anywhere in Colorado other than at the Denver airport, which was hundreds of miles away. And no one we encountered had ever even heard of Sixt. So we had to purchase a tire to continue our trip. At this point we are down nearly $400. When we checked the car in back in Denver, the attendant encouraged us to file a claim for reimbursement. Against my better judgment, I did so. You can imagine my surprise when Sixt had the nerve to not only deny the claim, but attempt to bill us for a tire that would "match" the others on the car. Needless to say, neither I nor my company will ever use this rental company again. Stay far away. read more

If you have other options use them. I reserved online using their App and in order to lock-in the rental price and vehicle type I paid upfront s month in advance. When the plane landed at DEN they let me know that the vehicle I already paid for was not there or available do in order to have any vehicle I had to choose from what was available and all had upgrade costs! No upgrades for what I already paid. When attempting to work this out with Sixt they added the entire upgraded vehicle to my card on top of the already paid for reservation they did not honor. Eventually they refunded the original reservation but never received the original price for the available vehicle. Sixt is not the least expensive option so their customer service should make up for the costs- it doesn't and their selection of vehicles certainly doesn't justify the added dollars when they don't give you what you've paid for. Avoid them and choose one of the other bad options that make up the Denver airport rental experience- one of the nation's worst. read more

After we returned the car we got an email saying we damages the front bumper and sent a photo of a scratch. We did not do this. We didn't even park somewhere that someone could back into us. I was given a crappy toyota for top dollar because I didn't have a reservation. Okay fine. But said toyota was literally buried under snow/ice when I got to it. Totally unsafe to drive. The guy that gave me this shitty car was more interested in helping the young European girl in line behind me, than me. He tried to take her first by asking if she was there first (she clearly got in line several minutes after me). When we both said I was first, he tried to take her before me by asking if she had elite status. She didn't, so he reluctantly helped me and gave me this crappy car and crappy deal to punish me. Classy. Silver lining: KUDOS to Ahmed, the guy that checked me out outside. He helped scrape off the wall of snow and ice encapsulating my rental. Great guy.
