One of my favorite light and tasty meals in Prague. These open face sandwiches are beautiful to behold and very well executed. The flavors were awesome. We opted for the classic ham, egg and potato salad (a picnic on a piece of bread); herring and anchovy; goat cheese and beet; and crab salad with truffle. We also chose homemade vegetable chips to accompany. All totaled a little over $10. These little sandwiches were very delicious and I hate that we did not get to go by there more than once. I would definitely visit again. These treats would be nice to grab on your way to enjoy the sunset at the Letna Beer Garden or enjoy in a nearby hotel or airbnb. The crab salad was just ok, the salmon and cream cheese was much better, the salmon very fresh and the combo almost as good as a New York City bagel & lox. There is only one other time in my 68 years, in a New Orleans restaurant by a very famous chef, now departed, where the food was so ridiculously good that it made me start to laugh. The passion fruit mousse with the coconut cream torte is almost indescribable, with a firm but creamy texture, lovely fruity taste with the most subtle yet flavorful coconut accent, and the cream frosting, was the most exquisitely balanced composition I have ever eaten. Sisters elevates the open-faced sandwich into a culinary and visual experience. The presentation of the sandwiches is extremely appetizing and dare I say - INSTAGRAMMABLE. All of the delicacies available for purchase can be found in the display box at the front of the store. Once you place your order, the staff prepares them for you by spraying them with cute little perfume bottles and sprinkling on some seasonings. The girl who was working there when I went explained every step of the process and boxed my treats for me to go (the box is also really cute). I don't recall the exact names of what I ordered but I got three different sandwiches. One was the classic egg, one had 3 different kinds of cauliflower, and the last one had a beet mayo with pieces of duck on top. All were delicious and unique in their own way! Unbelievable spot for some (semi) authentic open faced sandwiches. The ingredients are definitely more updated to suit this trendy establishment. I've already gone twice in the past four days! From those visits I got goat cheese & beetroot, turkey & ricotta, smoked salmon & peas, roasted duck, and smoked turkey & olives. Goat cheese and beetroot blew me away; I cannot recommend this more. Smoked turkey and olives caught me by surprise as well. The flavorings are all so complex and the ingredients compliment each other perfectly. Salmon was pretty good, and next time I'll skip turkey and ricotta. The duck wasn't bad either, and it was my first duck experience. Clearly this is not a vegan friendly place and there's only a few vegetarian options. Also, while I don't think it's a rotating menu, sometimes they run out of certain ones and new ones will pop back up. Three is fine for a small lunch, and it's extremely affordable. The inside is small but modern and sleek, and there's also a bakery in the back that makes awesome looking desserts. I'm bringing my friends and family here when they visit. Excellent! I really wish I had visited sooner in my stay so I had time to return to Sisters. It's a gem of a spot! The sandwich trio was perfect after a morning spent walking through the Jewish Quarter. There were maybe 10 sandwiches to choose from all carefully displayed and well-lit in the case. These are open-faced style, btw, and I chose smoked salmon with cream cheese, roast beef w/a coleslaw-style spread underneath, and egg salad with microgreens. All truly perfect--both presentation and execution--10!. Sisters and Nase Maso (a killer deli where the rest of my group ate) are housed in what is essentially a gourmet arcade of tiny little specialty restaurants and wine bars. There's bench seating on the sidewalk in front of both and if you venture into the arcade you'll find chocolate, two wine bars, a pastry cafe, and Nase's butcher take-away store front. There's also stand up counter space along the arcade corridor so grab a glass of wine and your lovely sandwiches and relax for an hour before hitting the pavement again. read more
