One of my favorite light and tasty meals in Prague. These open face sandwiches are beautiful to behold and very well executed. The flavors were awesome. We opted for the classic ham, egg and potato salad (a picnic on a piece of bread); herring and anchovy; goat cheese and beet; and crab salad with truffle. We also chose homemade vegetable chips to accompany. All totaled a little over $10. These little sandwiches were very delicious and I hate that we did not get to go by there more than once. I would definitely visit again. These treats would be nice to grab on your way to enjoy the sunset at the Letna Beer Garden or enjoy in a nearby hotel or airbnb. The service was friendly and efficient.

A traditional breakfast spot recommendation by a local...Nice variety of speads on various breads. For the most part, these are the options plus coffee's and some juice. We tried a variety, but all the breads were much to hard for my liking. I did find several of the topping combinations to be quite lovely and unique. I found myself still hungry upon leaving, but glad we tried this recommended spot.

I don't understand what the hype is with the bloggers... this is more like a snack. You can get 2-3 slices for under $10. Nothing really stood out for me. There are 2 locations in the area.

Introduce to this establishment by our tour guide. They are known for their open faced sandwich chlebíček with potato salad and ham. This is a good place for a quick and/or light meal or lunch. Prices are affordable

I came here for lunch based on a friend's recommendation. It was delicious and affordable. Had the Ham, the Salmon, and the Camembert sandwiches. They have free tap water, which you can opt for the sparkling variety. My meal was 160CZ, less than $8. Staff speaks English well and is very nice and helpful. They can help you to decide which sandwiches to go with. They do have a few meatless varieties for the vegetarian out there.

This is a good place for a light meal or lunch. They serve traditional cold sandwiches. They have all sorts of topping on them like ham, salmon, eggs, roast beef, etc... Each sandwich is a burst of flavor in one bite. If you dont like one, dont stress, plenty of others to choose from! The place is tiny, right in the heart of old town. I enjoy coming here for a late afternoon snack or when I want to try lots of different flavors. The prices are reasonable and you get to try something loca. Cant go wrong with anything on the menu

Had to come back here twice. Sisters is on many foodies lists of places to go in Prague. I have to say I agree with them. The open face sandwiches are perfect for a light breakfast or lunch. I had three and all were fantastic! The coffee is the best I had in town. And next door is a pastry shop. Staff is quick and easy going. Inside it is a hip casual vibe. This is a must try in Prague!

Sisters was recommended to me by a local as their favorite open faced sandwich in the city. They truly did not disappoint! My favorite sandwich was the Hungarian salami sandwich, but everything was so tasty!!! The Parma sandwich was a little pumpkin heavy, which I liked, but fair warning. The sponge cake was such an interesting texture and delicious but definitely soaked in a lot of simple syrup!

Excellent open face sandwiches! We tried many of these and hands down we liked this place the best. The photos of the sandwiches are beautiful as well, I almost didn't want to eat them!

The food here is so beautifully made. The combination is interesting. Parsley sponge, onion caviars, cured beet, beer roots dust etc. The bread is so soggy though as they pre-made the food. But it's a good experience just by taking pic and looking at it. Oh the salted cannoli with ham is awesome.

    Roast beef. So good

    Delicious sandwiches and cappuccino!

Lovely spot for breakfast or a snack! I got two open faced sandwiches which absolutely blew my mind, especially the egg and ham one. Not only that, but they serve a very good cappuccino. It's a small establishment, but if you manage to grab a table, it's great for people watching. One "but" - the tables face the windows, and the sandwiches are open and have tons of toppings. . . Basically there is no way to eat them elegantly, and people from the street will look at you. But if you're like me and only care about good flavor and not at all about looking like a mess, this place is perfect!

    Not a bad deal

I had the eggs Benedict to go as well as the beetroot and goat cheese bread. Both were amazing. The coffee is also delicious.

This is a cute little restaurant and the open face's sandwiches are pretty good.

Our party of four (4) arrived without reservations and were informed of a 30 to 40 -minute wait. We were invited to have a drink in the bar which is off the hotel entrance. Within 20-minutes the hostess informed us that our table was ready. Duck with cherry sauce and braised beef with gravy and dumplings were outstanding. Although we did not have room for dessert, they looked amazing in display near the maître de desk. Several parties arrived as we were leaving to have coffee and desert.

The space itself is grand and beautiful, but the experience went downhill immediately. The hostess seemed to wield all the power in the room--no smile, barely any eye contact, just a curt and judgmental "no reservation." The restaurant was far from full. She then added, "I only have a side table for you," as if that were some sort of compromise. We accepted. At first glance, the waiters looked well presented, but with a bit more observation, the illusion faded. Some had sagging pants, untucked shirts, and most concerning, repeatedly inappropriate hand placement while on the floor. It happened more than once, which was uncomfortable and distracting (see photo). Overall, the place feels very pretentious without delivering on substance. The food wasn't anything special, and the desserts were average at best and certainly not worth the hype or the attitude. I wouldn't recommend Cafe Imperial to friends, especially if you're expecting a warm welcome or standout desserts.
