There are a several cacao focused restaurants in Prague, but I was so happy that I happened to see this one first. I loved everything about this establishment: My dessert, my drink, the ambiance, the service - it was just fantastic. You can order a savory meal there too.

This was such a pleasure. My drink was delicious and I loved our seat. We were outside soaking in the sun and relaxing. This was a lovely experience. Waitress was kind and spoke English.

Our first meal in Prague and also revisited for a second time. Breakfast was delicious! Perfect portion leaving me satisfied, but not overly full. Arriving shortly after opening it was not crowded yet and service was great. With a chill in the air, we dined indoors, although they have a large outside dining area. After a memorable 1st meal, we found ourselves back in the area and popped in for an early evening dining experience. This time, it was much busier and louder inside. Service was slower, but food was still top quality. Although we didn't have any dessert here, they are very popular for sweet dishes. What gave that away...the menu opens to desserts 1st! An extensive menu with nice variety also includes a healthy menu.

Sometimes it is all about the view. Nice cafe by the train station.

We stopped in here for a late lunch on our second day in Prague. They have an extensive menu with lots of options and a whole display case of desserts. The interior is spacious and clean, and there's plenty of outdoor seating with heaters. The service was quick and efficient and everyone was friendly. We were able to sit and chat after our meal without feeling rushed. Definitely a good choice if you're looking for a healthy meal or something sweet!

An updated review of Cacao as we came here multiple times seven years ago. We came back to Prague and went here and it clearly is everything we remembered! This is one of our favorite coffee shops in all of Europe. They have changed a few things since we were here last: upstairs seating and some menu items. They are fairly busy but their service and quality it outstanding. Highly recommended and can't wait to come back again during our next visit to Europe!!!

Best meal we had so far in Prague. Although crowded, we managed to get a table. It's slow ordering since there are so many people, but once order was made, food came out pretty quickly. Our club sandwich was delish. It seems to be poplar as I saw this dish coming out of the kitchen frequently. The vegan salad was amazingly fresh and had lots of great ingredients. Perfect for sharing as an appetizer too. The salmon bagel (Lox) was my favorite. The salmon was super fresh and it was served with toasted sesame seed bagel. The avocado toast with tomato had nice flavor as well. The desserts were just ok. We had the tiramisu and caramel pecan cheesecake. The cheesecake was very dense and was quite different from cheesecakes we have in the US. We didn't get to try the coffee here, but from the tables around us, it looked really tasty.

Cacao Prague is a sexy, chic cafe located right around the corner from the Prague Municipal house (on the one side) and the Palladium shopping center (on the other). I have stopped in a couple times, and service was friendly both times. They have a decent sized dining-terrace, and the interior is divided into two rooms with a mixture of traditional tables and chairs, or tables and comfy armchairs. In one corner there is a bookshelf with some interesting books to peruse while you lounge. You may make reservations but it is not necessary. They have a pretty extensive dining menu but I have only had desserts and drinks. The chocolate mousse with raspberries and the Cheesecake with Strawberries were both huge hits with my friend. Chocolate was rich and neither the mousse nor the cake was too sweet. Today I tried the Peru XL ice-cream cup (HUGE - like a sundae) - a combination of chocolate and vanilla ice cream, chocolate cream, roasted almonds, whipped cream, and biscuits. Absolutely delish! So, in addition to the size and the super sweet, I couldn't finish it all on my own. They make fresh fruit juices and I tried the Pineapple/Ginger. Holy smokes! It was heavy on the ginger (think smoothie style) and although I typically like my juices sweet, I drank this one anyway thinking it would help with my allergy attack lol. (Just note that the flavors are strongly ginger and not at all sweet). The cafe is very serene, even when there are a lot of people. Service was friendly and I will definitely be stopping in again. The food menu looks awesome, so will have to try next time.

Walking back to our hotel after our first day of exploring Prague, it was too late for dinner but we had room for a drink and something light. Cacao was on our route so we stopped in. Although it was a cool evening, we sat on the patio where they had heaters and provided blankets. Nice touch. It gave us a chance to watch people walking by and the few street vendors that were still open nearby. The dessert menu looked great and should satisfy our void so we ordered the Tiramisu and a slice of Pistachio cake. Both were very good. The tiramisu was rich without being too sweet. The pistachio cake was chocolate on the inside with a generous crusting of pistachios on the outside. Very nice. We had heard that beer is cheaper than water in Prague. It's true! Kinda. A pint of local Staropramen was 45CZK and still (tap?) water was 49CZK! Oddly, sparkling water was a little cheaper at 45CZK. Pilsner Urquell, another local beer, was 75CZK. Stella Artois non alcoholic (didn't know they made this) was only 39CZK. We tried the Staropramen and were hoppy with it. Without trying any of their savoury food, I have to say this is a nice place to get desserts, grab a cold (or hot) drink and watch the crowd go by.

I got the salted caramel and it was delicious! Lots of people sitting outside, so I'm assuming that everything else on their menu must be good too.

Awesome location! I was in search of an açaí bowl in Prague and found this to be one of my few options. I went in the morning during the week so it wasn't too busy. Indoor and outdoor seating is available. The outdoor seating was tempting, but I sat inside because it was already getting pretty warm out. I ordered not only an açaí bowl, but also an affogato and latte (with my boyfriend). This was my first time ever having an affogato and it was SO good. The gelato was honestly pretty mediocre but the espresso was really nice so putting it together was awesome. The açaí bowl was also pretty good--not the best I've ever had but also not the worst! Great option for lunch in Prague!

    My hot chocolate is amazing!

Cutest little café with outside seating as well as indoor couches and chairs etc. Super duper clean and well maintained. After stuffing ourselves with dinner this evening,Sam M wanted to try Cacao. He had seen this place a few times while walking and was ready to eat here. We arrived here near to closing and the employees didn't rush us but I felt bad coming only 20 minutes before closing, they gave us great service even then. The prices and portions are great. We are always converting everything in dollars. This seemed cheaper than most ice cream places in U.S. As well as other countries in Europe. Not only was the price good but also the product. My hot chocolate was decadent and full of cocoa and richness. Sam M ordered two scoops of ice cream and got a discount with yelp check for the ice cream {winning and yelping on vacation}... He also ordered a orange lemonade which consisted of fresh fruit and fizz(I'm assuming sparkling beverage) and fresh lemonade. His lemonade was very refreshing since I shared some with him, of course for reviewing purposes as well as trying everything he had to be the fatty at heart that I am. All in all, this café is a must for desserts, drinks, ice cream etc while your in Náměstí Republiky area.~

Cacao is a cute cafe in a good location. The employees are nice and they speak English so no worries there. They accept credit cards and Euros. The gelato everyone raves about....they are good but the best....I have had better gelato in Italy and US. I also ordered an breakfast sandwich...it was huge but tasted okay. I tried to order kitchen menu at night as well but was told the kitchen was closed for some reason. Now the coffee items here are absolutely delicious. My friend and I both agreed their Macchiato was great. My friend ordered one of the smoothies but she forgot to ask them to put ice in the smoothie so it came out lukewarm, and it was disgusting. Europeans don't like ice so don't forget to ask for it. So this place wasn't mind-blowing but still pleasant with decent food, great coffee, and also the assurance of the English speaking skills of the staffs.
