It was at the end of my week-long Vienna/Prague trip, and I felt like I had been eating relatively unhealthily, so I wanted something healthy for breakfast. I went with the oatmeal, fresh fruit, and yogurt. It comes with a small portion of each, as well as a small basket of bread. I finished everything (except the bread) and was pretty stuffed, but I felt really good about what I had just put into my body. Plus, I don't normally eat oatmeal, but this one was enjoyable, especially when eaten with the jam that came with the bread. The yogurt came with some granola/pumpkin seeds, which was a very nice addition. The meal also comes with your choice of fresh squeeze orange juice or grapefruit juice (this was super tart), and a coffee of your choice. I opted for the macchiato and it was the perfect drink to wash everything down. All of this food came out to only about $11 USD. Everything was fantastic, until it came time for the check. We asked our waitress at least two times and waited for a while until she finally brought it out. But, I will give her the benefit of the doubt because she did look super busy, while another waitress just stood around and looked on. The restaurant is situated on the right of the guard entrance to the complex not very far from Strahov Monastery. Service was pretty good and our food arrived quickly too. Considering food in more touristy areas are oftentimes pricier, the restaurant had decent prices for the amount of food. Overall, I'd definitely recommend stopping by after a eventful afternoon :)

The listing and comments revealed a jewel; a high ceiling space with wood panels and green padded seats, a chef who came to our table and discussed wines, and a simple but fresh and adventuring menu. After tastings, we chose a German white (that is a rarity), and an Austrian red. Seems there is a lot to learn! I had a grilled bass with potato and zucchini plus a light vegetable sauce. My wife had a baked and sliced chicken breast with a showering of peppers and sauce. This is the place that you hope to find when visiting a new city.
