We were greeted by a nice young lady, very friendly. The decor of the place was really nice with hand painted touches on the ceiling and around the dining area. Found Cukrkavalimonada one afternoon for lunch, after searching for a spot that was near the Lennon Wall (since that was our next stop). We were hungry/tired, and this little cafe was right nearby, so my friend and I decided to stop in. The food wasn't anything special. They just serve salads and pastas. I had the pesto pasta which was only okay. It was on the oily side. I also ordered a hot lemon/ginger for a drink. It was simple but it was served in a cute , little teapot, and was the perfect way to warm up after walking around in the cold and rain all morning. Came here for a short drink/snack break using Yelp recommendations and I was a little disappointed. I just thought the whole experience was just ok, average. First, it was a little hard to find, and then once inside the service was just ok, not very friendly. Because it was so hot outside, we ordered a jug of filtered water. It came with lemon and mint and cost about $2. I got the strawberry pancake, which was a crepe with yogurt and strawberries and whipped cream. It was good, but pricey. There were only a few others dining inside, so the place felt empty. There were random decorations like ceramics on the walls, but I thought the ceiling paint was cute. I probably wouldn't recommend this place to anyone traveling to Prague unless you specifically want to go to a little local cafe. We were in dire need of a pit stop and lo and behold, my friend spotted this quaint little cafe along our route. The french-like decor drew us in and at the odd hour that it was (3pm ++, there wasn't any other customers save for a couple at the corner) Verdict: * Rasperry and Banana juice - these were made fresh and tasted super refreshing on such a hot day! *Carbonara pasta to share - the shaved parmesan cheese did it for me! And the most amazing part is that they cooked the pasta and sauce 'live' in front of you so you know that is it fresh! Love the portion, love the taste. We were looking for a light breakfast, and picked this based on reviews. I'm going to be honest and say it didn't live up to expectations, and was only OK, plus being pretty expensive for Prague. We ordered savoury crepes and hot drinks and the crepes were rubbery with fillings that were cold, clearly made elsewhere (or much earlier) and assembled in the kitchen and maybe thrown in the microwave. Drinks were fine, nothing to write home about, but probably the most expensive we had the whole time we were in Prague. Service was fine and the space is lovely. They didn't open until 10-15 minutes past the posted opening time, but we just walked around the area, which was fun to explore. This cute spot is near the Charles Bridge and has a decently sized menu (not massive which I appreciate) for breakfast, sandwiches, chicken, pasta, and sweet and savory pancakes. There's a large selection of drinks including a to-die-for hot chocolate. I think it may be the best I've ever had! And they offer some mouth-watering looking desserts. I had the apple cinnamon pancake which was the perfect size to eat and be full without feeling too full. My husband got a savory pancake with eggs and bacon which he said was very good as well. I've been in Praha but 24 hours and I've fallen in love with this region. Once seated, I ordered a 'Corretta', their version of an Irish coffee. Beautifully strong and aromatic topped with a dense flourish of whipped cream, *yum* Followed by a large dinner plate sized, crepe like pancake loaded with four (4) sunny side up eggs-expertly cooked, cushioned on a bed of ham/bacon, topped with wedges of tomatoes, raw onions (a little too much raw onion for me), cucumbers and arugula! Off the "salty pancake" options, Yass LordT. Give it all to me. My husband had the "English breakfast", consisting of two (2) sausages, two (2) sunny side up eggs, baked beans, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, arugula and sliced baguette, along with a freshly squeezed glass of blended orange and lemon juice... wooooo saaaaahh. Cukr Káva Limonáda is a nursery rhyme that will always be stuck in my head. Thats why they won me over just with the name! They is right by Charles Bridge, but still hidden from the main flow of tourist. If you sit by the window, you will see Panny Marie pod řetězem. This restaurant, wine bar, patisserie has everything that you need for a quick stop when you are just too tired of your tourist paths. Last time we stopped here, we just climbed to the castle and back and this was a very welcome stop. We had Moravian house wine and fantastic french pastries, all served by very nice slovak girls. I would definitely stop for a drink or a coffee with cake. On the other hand, I wouldn't plan my lunch here, because its very expensive and bit overpriced for what you get. read more

I feel like I am at vineyards just not drinking only wine but having option of delicious cakes (fresh made) and hot chocolate, fresh made lemonades, their salads are also good. Cute and simply decorated place. We are only in Prague for 3 days and have been here twice. The first time we got meals, and the fresh pasta is delicious and well, fresh. The Caesar salad was good as well except I think the dressing had a hint of anchovies which I did not realize and did not like. Luckily I had gotten the dressing on the side so it wasn't a big deal. The cocktail juices were a highlight and we got one each visit. Our second visit we just got dessert - so good and homemade tasting. Very nice place. Kinda modern ambient with a little vintage rustical detail, like a hand painted old wooden ceiling. Good coffee, spectacular good looking home made lemonade. Nice staff. I had a yoghurt with apple and walnuts. But other things on the menu sound very appealing too. Later I went there the three other days that I spent in Prague for breakfast too. Because of two reasons: First, even if I looked I didn´t find another café with that quality in food and service (obviously I didn´t check out EVERY café in Prague, but some of them) and second, the café is super close to the Charles bridge and the big crowd, BUT located in a side alley, suddenly you get some air, it´s almost quiet there, it was a real oasis. The sandwiches are great too, the omelettes too. And the staff is the best, all the girls were really nice, really kind and they called a taxi for me, which I appreciated. My wife and I went to this restaurant after a long cold day of walking and touring. We were planning to go to a restaurant with traditional Czech food as recommended by our hotel, but it was full and they were unhelpful in trying to accommodate us even 1/2 hour later. So be it. I found this beauty on yelp. 4 1/2 stars. And we are glad we did. It was completely empty on this Sunday night at 6:30 and we thought it might be closed, but it wasn't and we were assured it was fine. Cuisine was lighter than most we've seen. And the menu was short; only four meat dishes. My wife ordered pancake old Prague style and I ordered the chicken steak with mushrooms and spinach. I'll focus on mine, though my wife loved hers (for Americans, getting such flavorful eggs is a great treat). The chicken breast had a wonderful, flavorful sear to it. The sauce definitely aided the chicken (breast tends to be a bit dry). The spinach and mushrooms were seasoned perfectly and not over cooked; they still had a fantastic texture to them. In brief, the food was interesting and very well executed. We will be back. PS: I'm upset that I didn't photograph the food. It looked wonderful too. read more
