Fresh warm croissant with jam and Nutella
    Angela D.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had and easily the best I have had in Europe. We had a larger group and needed a restaurant in the area we were walking in and I stumbled upon Bella Vida. So happy we did! The setting is so cute. It is set up like you are sitting in either a living room or dining room in a home but it is a restaurant with multiple tables in each room. My nephew loved it. We basically sat around a coffee table and ordered so much food that the table was full! I had amazing butter scrambled eggs and the best croissant I have ever had. I got sick in France and missed a great looking breakfast with fresh croissants and was super bummed but the ones at Bella Vida made up for it. They are served warm with jam and Nutella. My gosh they were great! Everything was lovely! The service was impeccable and the scenery was great. You walk outside and you are on the river. It is so amazing. A wonderful breakfast and experience!

The food was amazing, and the location is great. There was also great art on the wall inside. The service was fast as well. This is a must try restaurant. I'll definitely be going back.

Located in the Mala Strana side of Prague, this place has lovely views of the Vltava River and a cozy old town ambience. We got some cappuccinos and also tried the eggs benedict which was delicious and was served over a soft pillowy slice of bread. Not sure if the staff spoke English as our interaction was limited and I will say that the seating situation was confusing, we weren't aware that it was first come first serve and you just walk in to find an open table. Consequently, we found ourselves waiting expectantly to be seated.

Great cafe right next to the river. The food was delicious! The staff was attentive and helpful in recommendations.

A great water view cafe, certainly much better than the ones recommended by Rick Steves. Located just a short walk from the castle, there are several outdoor tables where you can sit and enjoy the sights of the river and watch the knots of tourists surge their way across the old charles bridge. The fruit juices looked delicious, although we opted for the coffees instead. They make an excellent flat white. The menu is small (as it is a cafe) but the items that we had were pretty good. The tuna sandwich came with a small lightly seasoned salad and an egg in the sandwich, which I actually really enjoyed. Overall, it was such a pleasant experience to sit by the water in a relatively low tourist area, and eat good food at a reasonable price. I almost hate to see this place overrun with people, but I also feel like people should know this is one of the better water view options.

Lovely cafe right along the river. Service was fast and very courteous. The Eggs Benedict was arguably the best I've ever had. Also have great views of the Charles Bridge right outside. Highly recommend!

This was a great spot upon landing in Prague. My friends and I were about to start a nice walk around Mala Strana. We hadn't really searched for places to eat when we planned out trip, but we knew we wanted to start at the bottom of Kampa Park. We were happily surprised to find this laid back, library / cafe. The decor fits the old, European style of Prague. Every table was different...as if they found a table here and there from different antique stores, which gave this place a lot of character. The wait staff was friendly and welcoming. They had a good coffee selection...from cafe, cafe lattes, to espressos and flat whites. They also had a nice two page food menu...unfortunately, by the time we arrived, most of their main entrees were already sold out. They did have cold dishes - salads and sandwiches, which were both beautiful in presentation and delicious in taste. If they only served these cold dishes...they would still do really well. The music was very chill. Some American oldies, and some European / Czech songs. My friends and I didn't get to explore the library section, but we did see a couple of locals just sipping on coffee while they read a book or worked on their laptop. Wish there was a place like this back in my hometown in Queens, NY, USA. Would highly recommend this place to start off your day...or as a rest stop to rejuvenate yourself for the rest of the afternoon!

We stopped into this cafe and immediately loved the ambiance. Such a cute place. We ordered mochas and Irish coffees- excellent drinks! I ordered the open faced sandwich with avocado and poached eggs which was absolutely delicious. We ended up hanging out here for a few hours and plan on stopping back in. Edit: stopped back for breakfast this morning, and WOW. The French toast and eggs benedict were so good. Wish I could eat here every morning!

Healthy breakfast; yoghurt, granola, banana, almonds, raw coconut, raspberries & blueberries - yum!

A great place for breakfast - the healthy option of granola with: yoghurt, almonds, sliced banana, blueberries & raspberries was delightful. The orange juice was freshly squeezed (not from a carton or from concentrate) We also tried the poached eggs - two come perfectly cooked and presented nicely in a cocktail glass sprinkled with salt & fresh chives, along with fresh sour dough bread - absolutely yummy. The Vienna sausage is basically a frankfurter - so can't go wrong with that. Coffees were wonderful!

This cafe is very nice and romantic. We had a brunch there, no reservation needed - and that is a huge plus. Good coffee and nice Healthy Breakfast. I liked this café better that Savoy.

Good food and very nice atmosphere. Is definitely mor of a touristy place than local flavor but by no means a tourist trap. Service is a bit slowly, mainly because they are understaffed. But worth a try, if nothing else to compare to the other restaurants in the area.

A very nice coffee place with cosy atmosphere and amazing coffee and hot wine. I love to be coming here in summer when they have the seats outside with the view of the river as well as in winter when it's cold outside and you walk in, feeling the warmth and homy atmosphere. Definitely try their sweets!

Soup with the bread, one order was enough for two!

We can vouch for that, the soufflé was amazing looking and tasting. Big enough that my girlfriend could not finish the plate. I opted for the traditional English breakfast. It was a full plate of food that was fantastic! The beans were flavorful, the roasted tomatoes juicy and warm. The sausage AB's bacon cooked perfectly. The string is unique, very artsy in my opinion, combining indoor/outdoor seating. Very open and comfortable, appeared to be many locals taking in a morning coffee or breakfast and working. Amazing place, we enjoy every minute of this experience AB's our food. Highly recommended!

Cafe is located in one of those old small Lesser town houses. It has a cool decoration. Staff is friendly and very nice but communication among them is bad and they are slow. One waiter takes an order and it takes ages to the other one to bring it and when he brings it so there is something missing (like one coffee). The same with meals. One meal was supposed to be ham and egges omelette and they brought ham and eggs. It was good though. Meals are definitely worth stopping by. Menu is not long. They have only few sandwiches, salads and pancakes plus one soup and burger. And breakfast menu (it´s that cursed ham and eggs). But all these items are pretty delicious. Especially burger surprised me. It was huge (it could be actually smaller), pretty good (cheddar was missing) and pretty cheap considering the location. But I didn´t actually expect a good burger here (I was just curious when I ordered it) and voila. Surprise, surprise. Otherwise I also recommend salmon sandwich and dill soup. It was a nice experience to visit this place but I don´t think I will return. There are other places like this one where service works just fine, prices are friendly and quality is also on a high level.

Aside from the proprietor, myself and one other customer, this quaint cafe was devoid of other guests. The space is cozy, warm and eclectic, a handful of small tables with space for about a dozen people seated. They carry a handful of different dessert options, mostly cakes and a few pastries and one or two quiches made by the owner herself. Though I really wanted to try one of the cakes, it was before lunch so I ended up going with a meringue and a latte. The cookie was a textbook meringue, light, crisp, beautifully piped. The latte 72 CZK, while not particularly standout, was decent. The owner was kind, sweet and spoke English much better than my unfamiliarity with Czech. If I recall correctly they take cash and card, and a bathroom is available for customers though I didn't use it. There's parking available in a nearby lot though not really recommended to drive, since the entire area is quite touristy by the castle with limited parking.
