This "hidden away" café is perfectly situated near the Old Town Square and a definitely convenient place to eat breakfast. The food was pretty good and came out quickly too :) There's a nice courtyard area, a very picturesque room with vines growing from the roof, and an indoor seating area. I had a toast with avocado, greens, goat cheese, and pomegranate seeds. We (2 people) came into this cafe on Sunday morning, sat at central table in the outdoor seating area, with two other couples sitting on each side of us. While passing by the cashier/checkout desk I overheard the waitress telling the waiter (in Czech): "those cows said they will pay in cash", a cow being a slur word for overweight woman. While we sat at our table waiting to be noticed and served, two other couples sitting next to us got what was in my opinion a very bad treatment. The waiter told one woman to "speak up and talk to his face" because he couldn't hear her order, and the waitress told the other couple that "it's very busy and they can't fulfil her order" which is fine but her tone of voice and facial expressions were extremely unwelcoming. All this happened while we sat there, studying the menu (which I took from the bar by myself because no one from the staff offered it to us), waiting to be served. For 30 mins straight, neither the waitress nor the waiter have given us any attention whatsoever. In the end we just decided to leave and eat at another place. Do think twice about visiting this place. Hopefully that will make the owners think twice about their service and the sustainability/security of their business which are two things directly related to each other. Ahhh!! I am so happy we decided to come here! Before a long day of exploring Prague, my group and I found this cute cafe in a somewhat hidden street. The interior of the shop is beautiful; there is a small piano and an outdoor seating area that looks gorgeous. It's very Pinterest-y, if you know what I'm saying. My group of 8 was seated right away and our waiter was awesome. He made friendly conversation with us the whole time. I ordered the Russian breakfast. The serving size is pretty small and the food was so adorable and dainty. My favorite part? THE WHITE HOT CHOCOLATE. That drink will forever haunt my dreams. I must go back to get it again. It is so subtle and sweet and is the most comforting thing I've ever had in my life. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant!! Not only is the staff incredible but the food is good. If I were you, I'd order a little extra something if I had a long day. And please, PLEASE drink the white hot chocolate. Who knows how long it will be until I'm in Praha again?? This cafe is located a very short distance from the Old Town and high-density touristy area in Prague. It's a quaint restaurant in a really nice architectural situation (moss on walls, old feel - see photos). The menu changes weekly and focuses on smaller dishes such as soups, salads, and pasta, which we ordered one of each. I couldn't recommend this place purely off the food as I didn't find any of the entrees notable in terms of taste (all tasty but not amazing), but this was an enjoyable place to grab lunch because of the relaxing setting. They also serve coffee from a local roaster, and I thought it was okay but not great, and tea which tasted good and was presented well. read more

What I love about Prague are the hidden cafés and restaurants in courtyards. Away from the tourist paths, cozy with an amazing ambience. My husband had a pivo and I had coffee and dessert. What a terrible dining experience. We selected this place for the beautiful ambience but was not able to order as the waiter and waitress failed to acknowledge our existence even as we sat for 30 minutes. No greeting, no "sorry, it's busy we'll take your order shortly." They delivered food and took orders of the customers adjacent to us, but even then did not say a single word. We saw that customers had similar experience to ours on Google reviews. Many customers sat with empty tables also so I assumed the same happened to them. We left and went to the Food Lab five minutes by walking. Great staff and great food there! read more

We greatly enjoyed this slightly off the beaten path restaurant that had a shabby-chic private garden vibe. It has tables that can host larger groups as well as tables more designed for wine tasting. Some of the best service that we have experience in Prague. Prices were reasonable for the high quality food. Both my hubby and I would recommend and visit again. Beautiful, quiet atmosphere and great food. I made a reservation as I didn't know how crowded they would be, but I ended being alone in one of the dining rooms for most of my visit, which was really nice. The server was friendly, fast, and spoke excellent English (obviously not an expectation but really helpful). I got the bagel with smoked salmon from their breakfast menu and it was one of the best things I ate in two weeks in Prague. I definitely recommend this lovely place. read more

One of my most favourite cafes in prague. It's located in a lovely alley close to one of the most densly crowded tourist areas and it has a really cozy and quiet garden.
