If you're someone who likes (IG) instagram nails this is not the shop for you. I'd say this shop is really clean, cute and pink. I've come in here once to get my nails removed and today having a no chip. When initially charged over 50$ I thought it was overpriced for the quality work I received but when they told me I was charged for more than one service it made sense. Overall I did not like my nails and felt like I was settling. I was sad they took my tips off but they don't know how to provide what I wanted with my original tips nor with dip. Even when I mentioned as she applied whatever base coat that my nails were clearly filed uneven she did not wanna fix what I was paying for. I'm a student who also works so when I pay to get something nice for myself I'd like it to be completely worth it. Luckily I live down the street, so I called back to see if I could get redone (they painted over) the person on the phone was not eager to accommodate me and probably assumed I wanted to argue. Why? She wanted to tell me how the woman who did them gave me her time but so did I and I paid for it... I don't think I was apart of their regular demographic and wasn't very welcomed. I made an appointment here for a mani-pedi on a whim, since I had a hair appointment at Zano that evening. The salon takes COVID-19 precautions seriously, and everyone is asked to mask up, which I appreciate. I picked out a color for my nails, and I was told that it was $5 extra, since it was longer lasting. I was a bit skeptical, but I decided to go for it, since it was the color I was looking for. Long story short, it is now three days after I got my mani-pedi, and I still haven't experienced a single scratch on any nail! I even traveled via airplane with a toddler cross-country on Sunday and still no scratches or anything. Warning for those who like acrylic nails, this salon does not do them. This salon only does natural nails. When I asked if they did do artificial nails or had tips (since I had recently broken a nail) the response was a bit rude in tone The inside decorations are nice and lavish. Comfy chairs for both manicures and pedicures. Some of the staff seemed nice, but some were a little on the not so nice side and seemed like they just wanted to be done with your service. I got a mani pedi, they did not have the original No Chip polish color that I selected so I had to select a different color that ended up really see through even with 3 coats of polish. The lady didn't shape my nails and didn't really do much for the dead skin on my feet as I had so much that I was able to pick off without tools after this appointment. The cuticle care wasn't even or that great either. I'm not sure if it is because of the color I chose but the polish wasn't applied to fully cover my nail on the sides or to the cuticle. Less than a week and a half after my appointment and my No Chip manicure is chipping. Overall this was a really disappointing experience and I will not be returning. The manicurist who had helped me was nice. It costed me $15 for my mani which was not bad all. I liked how my nails turned out, but I am deducting a star for a blooper. They charged my card $100 in error, which was a mega yikes- I was not paying for another patron's services and they mixed my card up with her. I'm glad they acknowledged it to give me a heads up since I will see it processed, but they did void it shortly after. The worker was apologetic and she gave me their business card in case the charge comes through to contact them which was a nice touch. Honestly, this was my GO TO nail place when it was SIS nails. The original owners were absolutely the best and the new management has no idea what they're doing to be honest. They continue to deny gift cards that were given within the last 6 months (around Christmas obviously) but the disconnect with the new owner and caring about the clients is there. It unfortunately seems very clear that this "new owner" doesn't care about her clients or keeping clients from sis. Definitely do not recommend unfortunately... read more

I came in for my first manicure in years. They did a nice job and just a regular manicure lasted 10 days. I decided to treat myself before attending a wedding. On both visits they asked if I had a "punch card ". Both times I responded "no". Finally, as I was leaving after my second visit, I asked for one. I received credit for the second visit only. I am thrilled that the TV that is on plays a movie and NOT the regular daytime shows that I cannot understand how anyone with a brain ever watches. However, I did notice that every single woman at a pedicure chair was on their phone, so who needs the TV. I spent my time in the chair chatting with the woman tending to my nails ~ my bad. So I went into salon for first time on a Thursday and within 3 hours my nails chipped right away. I contacted the shop and they accommodated me and had me come in for it to get fixed. Next day I had one nail peel. I said forget it. Day 3 they are now chipped and trashed. I will never go back. I gave 2 stars bc they were nice and let me come in to get fixed. I always use OPI, because the quality is good and stays on. Regardless of the type of mani, it shouldn't chip like this. I'm pretty sure this is not OPI nail polish. I give this nail place 5 star for their service, their cleanliness, and their ambiance. I made an appointment. As soon as came in they asked me if I wanted something to drink. I loved this place because is not your ordinary nail place where it is dirty and smelly. I like the way my nails were made. Not your typical air brush French manicure pedicure. The lady took her time and made French nails hand style. I also admired that they did not take more appointments because they are greedy. They turned a late comer that was nice. No rush to the work. The only thing I did not is they speak a different language over the customers and you do not know what is going on. They lack being more courteous to the customers. I think this place is over and extremely over priced. They do not do nothing out of their comfort zone to charge HIGH prices. They do have the most shades of nail polishes I had ever seen. read more

Update on my review from 12 days ago... Most of the dip nails have fallen off and they started to fall off about 5 days into getting the dip. Went here on a whim while visiting a friend in town. We walked in without an appointment and they were able to fit us in a half hour later (just enough time to hit the chocolate place nextdoor), they even moved us next to each other (part of the way through my nail shaping) as space opened up. I had never actually had a manicure, but Zaya (hope I'm getting that right!) was very patient with shaping my short nails, cleaning up the skin around them that I tend to pick at, and otherwise walking me through the unfamiliar process. I've walked past this location several times and thought I'd finally give it a try. The location and design of the shop itself is cute and they have "chick-flicks" playing in the background with subtitles so that's nice. 1 Star just because the location is "cute" and really had the potential to be my new spot. The service itself is TERRIBLE. Maybe I just unluckily got the worst technician. Who knows. I walked in and was greeted, checked in, and I had no idea who was speaking to me the entire time. No one actually came to me, someone just yelled across the shop and instructed me to have a seat at x chair. I get that they're busy, but still.. curtesy. I was willing to overlook that but still awkward to be yelling across a room and essentially have no idea to who? But ok. NBD. My no chip pedicure was painful. The technician scrubbed incredibly hard and had no regard for my comfort (I exfoliate my feet with apple cider vinegar once a week so really they're in good shape and all the "angry" rushed scrubbing was not necessary.) Anyway, when she was finished I got up and noticed the WHOLE side of my big toe was bleeding and the skin was raw... she walked away to let me put on my shoes and did not even offer me a bandaid.. I had to ASK for one.. she very nonchalantly said sorry and acted annoyed and got me the bandaid. The no chip was another uncomfortable experience. I could tell she was either annoyed or wanting to go home. Two walk-ins came in and she turned them away immediately.. by the time the third came in another technician luckily jumped in and accommodated the walk-in with no problem. Again, maybe I just got unlucky with the most unprofessional unkind technician there. Anyway, she was so rushed that the side of one of my nails had gotten messed up, and she sighed loudly when she realized she had to fix it.. she was furthermore annoyed when she tried to fix it with the WRONG polish color she had used for my toes and let out another loud sigh when she realized she'd have to fix that too.. the massage at the end was pitiful but I was just glad to get it over with. The most uncomfortable vibe and rushed treatment ever. Finally at checkout, the woman charged me a total of $101.00 dollars overall for a no chip mani and pedi.. as is customary and courteous, the technician should confirm charges before they begin the service right ? NOPE. Never did she mention it would be an extra 20 dollars to remove no-chip.. I understand this is standard at SOME salons, however she should have informed me prior to rendering the service. To top it off, I hand her my card and she says that the total charge DOES NOT INCLUDE THE TIP and then says "Do you want me to add the tip to your card or will you be tipping in cash?" LOL. I'm not one to stiff someone and consider myself generous, however I have never ever been asked upfront to tip whether it be a restaurant or a salon.. and every time I give my tip my technicians always express gratitude and kindness.. I felt so uncomfortable however I still tipped her $5 despite the injury, the bad attitude, rushed service, and overall uncomfortable situation. She then gives me a "wtf" type look, sighs, mutters something in another language and gives me my receipt. I said thank you and wished her a nice day and she said NOTHING ‍ In conclusion save your hard earned money and pamper yourself with technicians who make it feel like a treat unless you enjoy painful BLOODY pedicures and manicures. I walked in and requested a nail color. Not a shape not a mani nothing but a nail color. I was seated right away and she painted my nails 5 minutes done It didn't look great but she looked annoyed already so I didn't mention it. I gave her a 20 and she came back with only 5. Although I was planning on tipping her I didn't specify how much. After a long conversation about how I gave her a 20 and needed 10 back she finally gave me my change. I dried for a little bit and walked out. I was a good 20 feet from the door when I hear the owner yell at me down the street "did you not want to leave a tip?" I made an appointment for a polish change (hands), which started off on a good note , but in the end was terribly disappointing. It started with the tip. The service provider, which later I found out was the owner's daughter, is quite rude and was rather put off by the fact I was paying the tip with my credit card. She said. "We prefer tips in cash". I told her I always pay with my card...the lady which drives the black Mercedes SUV does my nails and has never asked for cash". . She said, "yeah, that my mom, but we prefer tips in cash". I asked her, "Is there a sign posted that I missed?" She replied, "no, but we prefer tips in cash", for the third time, with annoyance written all over her face . Moving on. We get to the part where I'm led to the drying station. I accidentally bumped two of my nails and smudged the polish. I sincerely apologized. Again, she was quite annoyed as she let out a drama sigh. She sloppily repaired the smudges, my thumb nail was filed on a slant... I was left dumbfounded, as she quickly moved on to her next appointment. I said, "these nails aren't very clean-looking, but I guess that's the best you can do?" No response. As a business owner, I understand appointments run tight, in the midst of COVID, but poor customer service served with an attitude is unacceptable. Long story short, I went in with my mom and sister for manicures and pedicures. Pedicure turned out great but my manicure (and my sisters) had 100s of rough bubbles in the nail polish. I called to ask if they would fix it and they said yes and to come in the next day. I show up to get the polish changed and the lady told me that it was my fault for touching things when my nails were still wet and that she wouldn't change the polish. What?? When we got our nails done the day before we got kicked out of the salon because they were closing.....so is this my fault? If they didn't have time to give a proper manicure they should've let us know. And to clarify there are bubbles in the nail polish, not marks from touching things. She reluctantly told me to come back in a few hours after I mentioned that we just spent $200+ here and my manicure looks horrible and if my nails were still wet, they shouldn't have kicked us out. She took her time on both my mani and pedi, was up front about pricing, and did an excellent job. I love the massages they do on your hands, legs, and feet. It's very relaxing as you are sipping on your La Croix they provide. I drive 35 minutes to this salon, because I enjoy it so much. There are no chemical smells, like there are in salons that do fake nails, which they don't. Overall I think this is a great nail salon, and I can't wait to go back. I stumbled across this place this past weekend as I was walking around. I thought the salon looked cute and they had their prices posted in the window. They have special prices for kids and I thought that was great since I have 2 girls, 2 and 8. My 8 year old has been talking about a girls day so I took the chance and took the drive out there today. I walked in and I was told there was a 30 minute wait, no problem, I gave them my name and number and they penciled us in. I got a manicure and pedicure and my 8 year old got a kids mani and pedi, and my 2 year old got a polish change other hands and toes. The salon is extremely cute, stylish, and most importantly CLEAN!!!! They have their implements in sealed sterilized pouches, they also have new in their package tools for them to use on you. They have a huge variety of colors and I only saw the good brands, OPI and Essie. The chairs are super comfortable and they have 2 tvs on the wall. All of the girls that worked on me and my little ones were extremely nice and very helpful. They have a huge candy dish at the entrance so that helped entertain my 2 year old. The prices are average but I recommend this place over any other nail salon because of the cleanliness. While I still prefer my luxurious pedicures at my Oakbrook Spa, this place will be the one to go to when I can't get in to my usual place. Thank you SIS nail salon for making it a nice afternoon for my daughters and I. I appreciate the fact that they welcome kids. If you are in the area check them out! I realized after I posted this that I didn't really talk about my service. My pedicure was nice, I soaked, got a foot and leg massage and I had a hot towel applied to my legs for a moment. She also used a scrub and moisturized my feet and legs after. For the manicure my nails were filed, cuticles were trimmed and I got an arm massage. The massage was nothing spectacular but I don't necessarily like that on my feet anyway. A hand scrub would have been nice but it wasn't included. I also was not offered a beverage. :( read more

I've had some pretty great experiences here. The salon is clean, conveniently located downtown Naperville, and my mani/pedis have looked fabulous. I like how open and airy SIS Nails & Spa is. They have nice big windows in the front and in nice weather they keep the front door and back door open for a refreshing cross breeze. The pedicure chairs are really nice and the massagers are some of the best I've experienced. There are two TVs that are usually playing whatever DVD they choose to put on. The first time I came into SIS Nails was for part of my sister's bachelorette day. I had called ahead to say there would be a group of 10 of us coming in for pedicures. I asked if we could BYOB and they said yes! It was so much fun all enjoying our pedicures (I believe we were able to go 6 at a time) while sipping champagne. She even gave me a discount for the group since there were so many of us and we made an appointment ahead of time. A year later I decided to stop in again for a no-chip manicure and pedicure. I have a regular spot in Aurora that I usually go to, but it ended up being way more convenient for me to stop into SIS since I was already downtown Naperville and it was a nice day to walk outside. My pedicure was great and they have plenty of colors to choose from. My no-chip manicure looks really nice too. I appreciate that I didn't have to look through a million colors for that. I new I wanted a baby blue color (for my son's baby shower), so she brought out the few different options she had, painted them on a few nails real quick, and I was able to choose from there. It did cost me an extra $5 to take my no-chip polish off since it was from another salon, but going forward they said that cost would be waived. Prices overall are what you would expect. Sometimes it can get a little chaotic in there just because they get pretty busy on the weekends, but I will definitely stop in again sometime to get my nails done. read more

They did not remove the polish entirely from my nail like other places- instead just touched up the portion that was chipped. Another nail chipped by the 9th day. A manicure was done without properly soaking fingers and cleaning them. A lotion was applied to cuticles and when cuticles were pushed back with a metal tool it was painful. The no chip process with manicure was the same and polish was not applied to cover each nail completely. The no chip polish has not chipped in 2 weeks so that is good. read more
