Pharmacy staffing is comical. You have what I'm assuming is the busiest time of day with people getting off work, out of school etc. and you have 2 techs working. One for drive thru, one for counter. There were at least 8 people in line inside and probably 4-5 cars outside. I waited over 25 min to pick up my son's prescription. Anticipate the busy time and staff appropriately. Very frustrating. read more

Just like any other Walgreens. Same stuff. This one has a drive through pharmacy which is nice.... Unless you get that one car in front of you that holds up the line for 10 minutes then it's faster to go inside. I always try to check out at the pharmacy if possible- the check out lines back up- they only have 1-2 people at the counters on average. The Walgreens mobile app for iPhone is great- I can send it photos to be developed within an hour and can also submit my prescriptions to be filled. read more

I've been using this Walgreens for several years now and sure there have minor issues here and there but today I left there furious as they had violated my family's privacy by giving our prescription to the wrong person! I spent several minutes in line at the drive thru and the first time someone spoke to me I gave the name and address and she hung up the phone, and I waited several more minutes. I had photo prints to pick up as well so I decided to just head in. After grabbing my photos I went to the pharmacy only to be told my prescription was picked up about 5 minutes ago. One of the women looked around for it in case it was misplaced, until another lady said she gave it to the person in the drive thru, which obviously wasn't me. For as many times as I've picked up a prescription they always ask for information before they get the prescription and again before then send it out to me. The woman today must not have done that because she said she just sent it out to the person in the car. Again, the employees did a HUGE violation today. Now there is some random stranger out there with my husbands name, DOB, address, doctors information, and prescription information(and no, is wasn't something as common as an antibiotic). I will be contacting the manager and possibly corporate depending on how my conversation goes with the manager. read more

Don't go here. They lie. Said at 1 pm drug would be ready in 20 min. Then said no drug pending insurance. I called insurance they said it was approved and called Walgreens while I waited on the phone for 45 min because Walgreens wouldn't answer her call. When they answered my insurance lady said they have it approved and are filling it now. This was at 3:45. When my husband went to pick up for second time he was told 1.5 hours . Then we got communication saying they needed insurance approval again. I called at 7:25 because Walgreens said pharmacist on night break from 6:45-7:15. When a person answered I was told they could fill it now but pharmacist was on evening break so couldn't tell me a time. At that point I lost it and said bullshit the recording says 7:15 and it was 7:25. Then the person hung up on me. I'm now on hold again. This is a postop drug ordered at 1:00pm. This review is of the pharmacy only. I have been taking my prescriptions here for 3+ years, and the service has become progressively worse. I'm going to be transferring my prescriptions to another Walgreens in the area. Here's why: -I consistently wait thirty-plus minutes. This includes when I fill prescriptions in the middle of the work day. -If I use their automatic refill, my prescription is never ready. Yet, if I call to speak to a person, they always seem annoyed I am not using the refill telephone prompts. -On numerous occasions, I have received the wrong prescription, or the wrong quantity. I always end up explaining WHAT my doctor actually prescribed, and while I wait for them to correct their mistake, I am sent to the back of the 30 minute line. I would think it was my doctor, but this has happened with prescriptions from 3 other doctors. -If I say a brand name to the pharmacy techs, they say I don't have the prescription. I have to remember to say the name of the generic. With all that being said, when I have spoken to a pharmacist, they have been great. It's more the service aspect....and I'm just getting to0 frustrated to deal with it! read more

Almost 24 hours, and they STILL cannot fill my prescription. Mercifully, it is not life-threatening, but I am in pain, and this stress is making it worse. Went to get a Rx filled. The doctor gave me a coupon for a free 30 day trial. The pharmacist was not able to process the order. Probably didnt want too, than I said just use my insurance card and he couldn't process the card. Went to Domnicks and they where able to process the medication without problem. I month later had the doctor call in Antibiotics, went to pick them up they told insurance would not pay. Than head back to Domnicks no problem. Done with that store and pharmacist. read more

I shop at Walgreens in Wheaton periodically. Yesterday I was there and, without realizing it, left my driver's license. The store manager, Mark, went out of his way to contact me and see to it that I got my driver's license immediately. That was beyond amazing customer service and management; it demonstrated that Mark is a man who genuinely values his customers. read more

I had to wait 30 minutes for them to fill a prescription. It was a bottle of powdered antibiotics that just needed water added to it and then shaken. The guy who told me 30 minutes wasn't very friendly or accommodating. Target pharmacy in Wheaton is much better--quicker, friendlier, they have a Starbucks, there's not a giant line of irritated customers waiting in the drive thru lane sweating in the sun. Also while I was trapped in the drive thru waiting to find out that the pre-measured bottle of antibiotics would take 30 minutes while my daughter sat in the back seat with an ear infection, a hawk swooped down and landed on the Walgreens. This pharmacy is the most disorganized, inefficient, MESS I have ever experienced in healthcare, and I myself work in healthcare so I've seen a lot... but this tops it. I no longer use this pharmacy because I so regularly had such disgraceful service. There were a few employees outside of the pharmacy who were wonderful and regularly started a morning off with kind greetings and efficient service, but honestly it came down to the fact that the pharmacy is a TRAINWRECK. It was not one bad experience, not a few, but literally every time I went there I left in shock that I could experience such disarray in a business who's ONLY job is to fill and sort medications for their customers. So why can't they do it?! At least 5 different times over the past year I have actually walked out after waiting for 30+ minutes for them to find my prescription--when it is on automatic refill AND I have gotten calls and emails saying it is ready--and they still can't find it.... please help me understand how this is possible when it is your only job to fill my prescription and have it ready when you call me and tell me that it is ready. Either don't tell me it's ready for pickup, so I don't come expectedly to just end up wasting my time, or, maybe, I don't know, actually get my prescription ready and have it ready like you say you do? So I don't have to come back 2 more wasted times EVERY month? This happened 5 separate times. Literally ridiculous. I have thankfully moved pharmacies and I will never return to this pharmacy. I will come to the store because there was always good service and lovely people outside of the pharmacy, but the pharmacy is a mess. read more

I do not go to this Walgreens often usually just for my prescriptions. The pharmacists are very inefficient and some of them, not all of them, are extremely rude and unhelpful. I have been sick for a week and had a question about my medications interfering with one another. All I got in return was a nasty, rude woman who answered my call and I decided that I would call some where else. Somewhere that may be more understanding and helpful and have something we call customer service. I don't know that you'd want to use or continue to use this pharmacy. You never know what people are dealing with when they call the doctor or pharmacy. It may be important!
