PLEASE NOTE: This review is based off the Pharmacy only and not the rest of the store. I came in on 4/15/16 to have a consultation regarding a medication and it's use. When you come in for a consultation, you want help and satisfaction in the consult with something important like medication and your health. I waited to speak to someone and a pharmacist who is Asian American came over to find out what I wanted with saying "yes"?. She wasn't friendly in what I needed to ask her about. She was stern and was quick in answering my concern like I was a bother. When she finished with me, I knew that was the worse experience I have had with a pharmacy staffperson. I also was appalled that when she addressed people in line to pick up prescriptions, she was friendly to them and even asked "how may I help you"? Even though I didn't have an experience in the actual general part of the store, I won't be back there. If I'm giving my money to purchase something, which I did, I should never be made to feel like I'm a bother for wanting important information especially regarding medication. No one should. I attached the receipt so that the store can address the person if this indeed was the pharmacist that talked with me. An associate rang me up and she was actually very friendly so I had no problem with her, just the pharmacist. read more

I have gone to CVS for years and appreciate that they are friendly and helpful. I always find good sales too!

By far the best pharmacy I have been to. Staff is so kind and pharmacist are excellent. Jeanine helped me with all my questions and even called my insurance. Saved me so much time and money. She is definitely the best pharmacist. Kind, courteous, respectful are just a few traits that I can describe. Pharmacy is also very clean, and they do a great job every other day I am there. Super super slow drive thru, unknown why... very poor service. Most likely transferring to another pharmacy.

You're sick or your significant other/child is sick and either way, you're the one who's going to be punished. The absolute last thing you want to do? Fight your way into the Osco parking lot and wait forever for a prescription. Go instead, my friend, to your local CVS pharmacy. You will be out of there in 10 minutes, tops. These people rock. I initially visited thanks to the "transfer your prescrip and get a $25 card" deal which wouldn't have been worth it if the store bit but it's clean, efficient and bend-over-backwards ready to please. They even have the drive-up pick ups for the uber lazy among us. Or so I've heard. Why the 4.5 stars then? They're still not a 24-hour operation and every now and again I have to get a prescrip at an odd hour. CVS already expanded the hours once, so I'm sure someday an unsuspecting junior pharmacist will have to accept a midnight job to meet my bourgeois needs. During this time of Coronavirus, and with signs on the door asking that all who enter wear masks, I was disappointed to see that the employees are very lax about wearing masks. My last two visits, the employee at the front cashier counter had a mask hanging around her neck but never put it on over her nose and mouth even while she checked me out. One of those times I also saw her speaking with another employee in the store aisles, neither of them using the masks they had hanging around their necks. read more

Called 7 minutes before my appt to tell me they couldn't do the COVID test because of their own error. No attempt at getting me an appt sooner than the multi-day wait when I looked to schedule online. Also called asking for my daughter even though the test appt noted it was a child's appt. When I asked if we could wait wince we had driven a half hour to get here, she said no bc they had a full afternoon and told me to go schedule an appt online. Least helpful customer service ever. read more

If I could give zero stars, that's what this review would be. Like other reviewers, we are "customers" of CVS Pharmacy through our insurance. Like other reviewers, I have had numerous prescriptions for my son messed up, delayed, etc. They've given me horse pills for a 4-year-old saying "We just don't carry the liquid version". However, this last experience was the kicker. My son and I were discharged from the hospital after 18 long days. It was late, we had a 2-hour drive home, and I got a text from CVS saying one medication was delayed since they did not have it in stock. When it finally came in, only part of the order was ready. I thought to myself "This seems like a LOT of medicine for what we need. I have to talk to the prescribing doctor about this." Well, I take the first bottle and they say I can pay when the full order is in. I call them the next day and say "You know what, PLEASE do not fill the second part, because this bottle is already way more than I need!" A few days later, we end up going back to the hospital. CVS starts blowing up my phone with calls and texts asking me when I am going to pick up the second part of the prescription - I keep calling back saying I'm in the hospital and cannot get in to pick it up. THEN they inform me that I owe $123 for the 2 bottles. What about me calling to ask that the second part not be filled? Well, oh, we will do you a big favor and only charge you $60. So this morning I just happen to be looking at my son's chart from our last visit and I see that the doctor prescribed 28.2 mL of this medication, and CVS filled a total of 200 mL. WTH? I call them to inquire about this mistake, and the tech I talked to actually said, "Well, yes, we should have called you about the price before we filled this. Our mistake. But we cannot fill just 28 mL of a prescription." Couldn't you have told me that BEFORE you just went ahead with all this and then say I owe you $60? Am I supposed to know this? I am now waiting for a manager to call me back, but I'm not holding my breath, because there is no such thing as customer service at this pharmacy department. I do not remember the last time I was this upset. Thanks a lot, CVS, for making a stressful time even worse. read more

Pharmacy hours are awful compared to Walgreens down the street. They often close earlier than advertised. They don't carry or can't get certain meds so I must drive all the way to Downers Grove to get what I need. Once when the power was out a few years ago, they didn't answer their phone for almost a week! No one could get their meds. It was very unprofessional. I'm sure they could have figured out a way to help their patients. No other CVS could help because they didn't answer. Don't you think a generator might be in order or perhaps an answering service to take messages? I would go to Walgreens if my insurance allowed it. read more

Worst. CVS. In. The. World. Both pharmacy and front area horrible. Pharmacy regularly screws up orders. Takes forever. One time pharmacy was out of medicine I needed, but I kept getting texts saying to come pick it up. Front area under staffed and poorly trained and managed. No customer service. One time loud verbal argument between manager and staff person. Staff person (who was correct) more professional than manager. Given location, this should be popular store. Only reason we darken their door is our insurance. Can't wait until Danada location opens. read more

The slowest CVS I've visited. There are always long lines and only one person checking out, whether its inside or drive thru. They could be a lot more efficient if they were motivated to do so. Everyone is very friendly. read more

I'm giving this CVS 5 stars because of the pharmacy staff. We switched over from Walgreens after having so many problems getting the correct medicine for our son. We were so surprised at how friendly and helpful the pharmacy staff can be! They go above and beyond and will call your insurance if needed and make sure you understand your meds. read more

I have to commend the pharmacy intern named Steve. I desperately needed a medication over the weekend and the instructions weren't clear from the nurse who called it in. Steve got in touch with whoever was on call immediately and sorted it all out and filled my script ASAP. I was so grateful. This is what separates CVS pharmacy from Walgreens. Never would I have experienced such great customer service at a Walgreens pharmacy, they are the worst. Steve, if you're reading this thank you again, and you've got a bright future ahead of you in pharmacy! read more

Unbelievable, This has been my pharmacy for years but this month i was blown away. I called to refill a prescription entered my name ,rx# and so on and was told it would be ready wed. Wednesday came and went and it was not ready ,called the following monday still no. Two weeks i assumed maybe my doctor did not approve the refill and contacted my doctor. Turned out CVS just dropped the ball. Two weeks cold turkey without anti-depressant medication,what a ride. They missed it ,oops. Never again read more
