Wonderfully clean Burmese/Thai grocery store…read more Definitely one of the best Burmese stores in the US, and they cater to an increasing population of immigrants in the area. The store is clean and the items on the shelves are fresh and new. They have a decent-sized produce section and a small frozen fish section in the back. The owner was very nice and he operates a small pharmacy counter in the front, selling several types of Burmese herbal medicines. The Burmese staples available include pickled tea, ngapi (fermented fish paste), preserved fruits, instant mohingar (fish soup), tea, and spices. They also carry a wide array of Chinese and especially Thai products, and their Burmese products are so unique that I haven't seen them at any of the other Burmese markets that I've been to in the States. They also sell prepared food on Saturdays and Sundays, and they have some Burmese clothing (longyi) available for purchase as well. Great little store!

For such a fresh looking assortment of dishes to be available at 1pm was a big enticement to come back to grab something for lunch next time I'm in the area. As far as grocery options I would be surprised if you couldn't find what you were looking for in such an expansive store. Prices have increased quite a bit, so this year I decided to keep it simple and order just the lamb. The online system didn't allow me to select the date I needed, so I called for help. That's where things became frustrating. I spoke with Chef Jose, and communication was difficult. I asked if he spoke Spanish, since it's my native language and I thought it might help. His response felt dismissive, mentioning he speaks Italian and other things, but the interaction itself came across as borderline rude and unhelpful. That impression was later echoed by the front desk, who suggested I contact another chef. Chef Doug, on the other hand, was the complete opposite. Even though we played a bit of phone tag, he consistently followed up with a helpful and kind attitude, which I truly appreciated. Overall, this is still a market we want to love. It has been part of our routine and community. But between the recent produce issues and inconsistent customer service, it has been a bit disappointing compared to what it once was. I'm hopeful they find their way back to the quality and warmth that made them our favorite local market in the first place. Went in to buy the new Starbucks strawberry refresher base. The app said it was in stock and when I…read morewent to check the shelf it wasn't on there so I asked a girl in the aisle and she said she had just grabbed one from the back of store before her shift started so she could buy it and so I asked her if she could grab me one. She went back there and couldn't find it so she asked a few other employees and they said they couldn't find it either. I thought it was odd because the girl told me she had just bought it. At that point I knew they were just hiding it for themselves. The manager on duty said they would get more in a few days so I decided to just wait. Fast forward few days later, I call the store and an employee picks up and I ask if they had it back in stock and they told me in an annoyed tone that they do not carry that product. I told the employee that I knew they carried it because I was in there not long ago and they told me in a rude manner "we have multiple employees looking and they cannot find it". Since I knew where it was I went into the store and saw it sitting on the shelf. This just comes out looking as pure laziness from the employees as well as showing their unwillingness to help and do their jobs. They really need to improve their customer service here.

Eggs, sausage, and bacon are overpriced. I dislike the digital coupons because they force us to be on our cellphones even more than usual. More steps involved to shop than the old Preferred cards had.
