I was with my sister at the Walgreens in downtown Naperville (store #3405), and the experience was absolutely unacceptable. She went in to grab some detergent on sale, and as soon as we got to the register, the cashier--Mahendra, an older Indian man--called his manager over, claiming he needed approval for the purchase. He then said, "you people come in and buy all the detergent on sale to resell it." My sister immediately confronted him, asking, "Who is 'you people'?" He then claimed she wasn't buying the detergent for her home. How does he think he knows what someone's purchasing it for? She had 4 Tide, 4 Gain, and 4 fabric softeners because they were 4/$10--perfectly within the sale limits. When the manager arrived, even she seemed taken aback by his comments. She ended up ringing us up herself because she clearly didn't agree with what he said. If this hadn't been the third Walgreens we'd visited (since the others were sold out), we would've left everything right there. It's outrageous for our money to go to a store where we're treated like this. As soon as we left, my sister called corporate to file a complaint against Mahendra. This kind of racial profiling and disrespect cannot be tolerated. read more

My normal Walgreens is the one at Columbia and Ogden, but I had to come here because a prescription was not available at that location and they could not transfer it between buildings. I had a few questions come up regarding this situation and had to speak to the long-time pharmacist at the Main Street location. This completely reminded me why I stopped using this store years ago, even though it was more conveniently located: he was rude, snappy and just walked away at the end of the transaction with no closure. What awful customer service. Look, it already sucks to be sick. Having to deal with unempathetic staff makes it worse. Pharmacists, take note. read more

Jo called two different Walgreens for me to locate a medication that the Carol Stream one said they had in stock (and then claimed that another Walgreens had in stock... nope! Fail on the Carol Stream Walgreens..). She was SO NICE to me and to everyone that she called, even wishing all of us a Happy New Year! There are a couple of absolutely phenomenal women there, but the rest of the staff and the pharmacy is an absolute nightmare. The wait times are always ridiculous no matter if you go in or wait in the drive through. My latest issue was tonight. I was in the drive through, my doctors office confirmed they sent the new script this morning, I got a notification on my phone, and it still wasn't ready when I got there around 5pm. I sat in the drive through for a half an hour and then the woman said she couldn't hold me up in the drive through while she looked further into it. Needless to say, I felt super under appreciated as a customer, as if to say my waiting wasn't valuable. I'm planning on transferring my prescriptions. I definitely don't recommend this Walgreens. read more

When me and couple of my friends walked in the workers had been giving us dirty looks. We had made our way to toy section and had been checking out a ball. We were laughing bc our friend was being funny and this older person came up to us and told up that we were permanently banned from the store and that he would be walking us out. As we were walking out with him behind us he started recording us and say "turn around and smile for the pic, that I will be posting". He then repeated to us that if we ever came back we would be trust passing and he would call the cops. I would not recommend this place for anyone under 20 they are no fun and very strict when we didn't do anything wrong. Apparently sharing a laugh with some friends is a sin now a days. read more

My husband and I do not have enough words to express how wonderful Jo Martinez, the pharmacist at Walgreens at the Main st/ Aurora Ave, Naperville location has been. An EpiPen prescribed by the doctor was not approved because it was last prescribed within 60 days. Our boys have life threatening allergies and we were ready to pay hundreds of dollars to get the EpiPen before school reopens. Jo called me and my husband, reassured us that she will work with the insurance to get it authorized. Within 24 hours, she called us back after getting the approval. She has exceptional work ethic, personality and grace. We will always be grateful for people like her. read more

I think this biz deserves 5 BLACK stars. I went to this Walgreens at Naperville on 11/30 for a Rapid test and was to get my results in 24 hours. After no results of response for 48 hours I reached out to them who put me on to one lab then another lab who told me they have not received my results. Then back to calling WALGREENS which took 1.5 hours to get through - and after 20 mts they tell me that their computers did not sent me the automated message and if I could come back to Walgreens AGAIN to do the test with the promise of getting the results THIS TIME! REALLY!!! It feels like a 3rd world country where these people are not serious about the pandemic - or maybe they too think this is a conspiracy - this does not bode well for us all. ITS PATHETIC ! After 5 years, I am moving my prescriptions to another Pharmacy - its time they shut down this store. read more

The store is fine, but Liz in the pharmacy is a nightmare. She's rude, condescending and cuts you off when you are speaking. She never takes the time to help any of the customers. She is rude and abrupt in person and on the phone. She treats the customers like numbers and not people. I dread seeing her when I come, and I am there often. I see how she treats other customers and my aging parents. It's horrible. She has no patience and the customers deserve better. Jo is the only reason I still go to this location. read more

It's a walgreens, but it's a walgreens in a college town and near a downtown with bored teenagers. We were looking for an umbrella on the fly, which they had at a moderate price. The store had the typical Walgreens fare, so you can get what you usually get at a Walgreens, I just wouldn't want to come here due to the location- downtown naperville traffic around this location is CRAZY, and with the store being littered with teens, it could be an obnoxious shopping experience. read more

i had a scheduled vaccination and went in with everything i needed 10 min. prior to the scheduled time. It took them at least 30 min. to give me that shot, as they were conversing with staff members along the way and taking their precious time during my lunch hour. They were not prepared at all and i was not happy with the wait and that they forgot to take my temperature prior to sticking me with a needle. I will not go back there except to shop in the store. read more

I had a crazy day with Dr's visits and dealing with my son's pain. I looked at the clock and realized that this pharmacy closed in 15 min, so I had my older son run over for me. It wasn't ready when he arrived, but they said it would just be a few minutes. He couldn't wait so I told him I would figure it out. I got a call from Jo, the pharmacist, letting me know that the script was ready and she would be there for 10 more minutes and I could call her. I called but got her voicemail. She called me back a minute later and said she had already left, but she had one script to drop at the local nursing home and then could meet me at the store. (!) She cared THAT much! By the time I arrived, anyone looking at me could tell it had been a very hard, exhausting day. Jo was there and rang up my script quickly. She said, " I knew Colin needed this medicine and I didn't want him to have a tough night." She came around the photo counter to give me the meds, and I couldn't help but hug her. She cared SO MUCH about my son. I will NEVER forget it & will tell everyone I know about my experience. Thank you Jo. You will never know what that meant to us. Thank You! read more

Nice WalGreens right in downtown Naperville. I like the convenient parking (several spaces are marked for 15 minute only parking so that you can get in and out quickly). The staff was friendly enough and the store was pretty well organized. read more

I visited this location on 7/21 roughly about ten minutes before closing time at about 9:50pm. As I walked up to the store three employees were out front smoking cigarettes, one older woman who I assume is the manager. As I walked into the store to make my purchase I noticed a lady waiting at the counter for service. Soon after, one of the three employees who were smoking a cigarette walks in and asked if the lady has been helped and she nods, soon after a younger lady comes from the back from helping the lady at the counter. The employee who came in from having a cigarette gave her a glare as if she should have been more productive even though she was the only one in the store helping out the customer. The other three employees couldn't wait 10 minutes to close the store and have a cigarette while they made the younger lady bust her butt and what does she get? Rewarded with a disgusted glare. I will NOT be back to this location if this is how the establishment is run. Very disappointed with the service and treatment of the poor young girl who was working her tail off. read more

This is the best pharmacy I have ever been to. Jo, The pharmacist has gone out of her way several times to help me with my prescriptions when I was having issues with the insurance company getting them approved. I dropped off a prescription one day and after insurance the total was going to be $1300. By the time I came back to pick it up she had called the manufacturer went online and found coupons to bring the total down to $40. There is one instance when I got stuck working late and I called her and she knew that I needed the medication so she stayed 20 minutes late just for me. I will never go anywhere else. I have been handicap after breaking my back 12 years ago so I've been on many medications and have had 12 surgeries. So I have been using Joe for a long time and I can't tell you how many times she spent hours dealing with my insurance company just to help save me some money because she cared. You can tell that this is just a job for her she does it because she loves helping people and for that I am grateful. If there were more people like her in this world it would be amazing. read more
