this CVS is solid; however, my only complaint is this bitter zara lady In pharmacy, whom is in need of much more training. WHO HIRED HER?! Her bedside manner is atrocious! Gates were closed, yet some lady was behind the counter. I gave the benefit of the doubt when i politely asked if and what time they would reopen, or if they were closed. the red signs on the wall in front of where i was standing (from the angle I was at) shows open from 8am-8pm most days. It was 12:40. I did NOT see the monitor to the left that shows they are closed from 12:30-1pm. honest mistake on my part, but to completely ignore someone genuinely asking a question... looking in my direction at me, and NOT respond at all, is beyond rude. some folks would slap this little girl for that, but Im not on that type of time. My point is, What if i someone was illiterate, and could not read? What if someone genuinely does not see a monitor that's positioned off from the direction of the pharmacy gate, such as myself? So i went to the front and politely asked the clerk if the pharmacist was deaf (to give zara some grace) The clerk at the front responds, "no", as i follow up with why I asked that to begin with. To my surprise, as I walk back towards the pharmacy to ask again, she's mouthing off about me asking if she was deaf to some counter part she's on the phone with... how are you so confident to be yapping like that behind a closed gate, like you wont open back up in 15 minutes? You dont know what kind of mood people may be in, or what they are willing to do because of your lack of acknowledgement and respect. I stepped out of my character...being self effacing, I did call her out her name for not being able to easily respond or even point in the direction of the sign (which again, i did not see until going back to the gate after asking the register lady if this zara chick is deaf. I can admit where Im wrong. I can own where I messed up, but this is the person thats in charge of dispensing medication to people?! ‍ who raised you?! yapping behind a closed gate like you're in high school. Parents definitely should've Beat you more as a child because your Bedside manner is beyond horrible. you should not be working with people and definitely should not be in charge of dispensing medications at that station on your own. Deprived is an understatement. this woman looks soulless!! And karma is a mf! it doesnt miss. It will spin the block for you weirdo. Other than that, shout out this CVS (except for this weirdo). They do a great job. It's just this heffer in back that is harming CVS's brand image. read more

There are meds that only the pharmacist can dispense (OTC things like Sudafed). Pharmacist leaves at 6. Don't get a sinus headache after 6 pm I guess or CVS will be zero help. Sigh. read more

The pharmacy assistant who serviced me when I was going through drug withdrawal from my prescriptions was down right cold! My nurse explicit-led wrote and called in for an emergency refill and the lady said no you're not due for a refill yet. I was like I am going through withdrawal I really had moved and I wasn't able to find all my medications and maybe it got lost? I don't know but I was suffering I need few pills get me through until my express scripts came in for next week. It took my mother to call the pharmacist who saw the prescriptions refill for a few tablets to refill it. I was so dizzy and that's the worse customer care ever!!! I typically don't have a problem with this pharmacy; however, tonight (3/9/2020) was an exception. I believe the pharmacist's name is Shumita. I initially pulled up to the drive through and sat for approximately 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging I was there. I also pushed the call button 3-4 times to no avail. At one point Shumita walked over to the register at the drive-through, and walked away without acknowledging me. I eventually went inside to get my Rx and complain about the lack of courteousness/service. Instead of attempting any level of service recovery, Shumita continued to repeat that they were understaffed and mentioned that I could complain to CVS about it. She also stated that they'd been working all day without a break as if this made the poor service acceptable. Bottomline is that she missed the point. My frustration was about the lack of courteousness. Simply acknowledging that I was waiting and letting me know they would be with me as soon as possible would have sufficed. Shumita didn't seem to understand this, nor did she express any sentiment of accountability, offered no apology, and ended my transaction with "here ya go". This is a ripe opportunity for employee coaching. read more

They NEVER have my medication in stock when I need it. They NEVER give a date or time as to when they will have it in stock. They aren't "allowed" to transfer to another CVS pharmacy because it was electronically sent to them. I am working on finding a new pharmacy, so I don't have to deal with these people. If you live in Illinois burbs chances are you have visited a CVS drug store. It is similar to Walgreens, a quick stop for something you might need in a pinch. I sometimes go when I am in a hurry or simply don't want to venture around a store larger in size. The environment is always clean and staff always friendly and ready to assist if you need anything. The one major downside to this store are the prices. Things you can get other places ai would recommend to do so. Most common items are priced dollars over average retail price. Even Fancy Feast cat food for example. At Target has a price of 57¢ ....CVS blasts it up to almost one dollar per can. Regarding price I will say that their liqour selection is priced very fairly. read more

I was told by the pharmacist, THE PHARMACIST, "maybe you should have a doctor in Illinois" after repeatedly telling the staff (for nearly a YEAR) not to run medications through an out of state insurance card, I would pay cash, and insurance would reimburse me. I came back to Illinois and could not leave because of COVID-19 and a medical condition. How absolutely miserable do you have to be to speak to someone like that? read more

I walked in to the Naperville Minute Clinic at 4:10pm today (Sunday) to buy meds for my son. We had missed the Edward/ Elmhurst Immediate Care by 5 minutes... so I figured I would get him some over the counter meds to tide him over. I was so happy to see they had a minute clinic and even happier to see they didn't close until 4:30. I attempted to sign him in and the touch screen was annoying and would not accept what I typed or kept acting wonky. It took me a few minutes to get all the info entered. But it accepted my appt and then closed down the appointments saying they were full for the day. Fast forward to 4:15. A very nice practitioner stuck her head out the door and said that she couldn't see him because it was now too late for the appointment. I said, "Well, it let me make the appointment". She said, "Yes, but it is a 20 min appt and that will put me 5 minutes past the time we close." Ok.......? So she suggested I go to the immediate care, which I said was closed and then offered to look up another immediate care. At that point, I was just frustrated. So we left. She was friendly, very pleasant and kind, but in the end wouldn't follow through with the appointment that the (annoying) kiosk accepted. I am not sure if that is company policy not to go a minute past 4:30, but it doesn't seem like good customer service to me. read more

Wish I could give it a negative rating. The pharmacist at this location is an absolute joke- you'll end up not having your medications (even 3 month supplies that you get routinely) that you NEED because "oh we're too busy to fill that". What????? What do you mean you're "too busy"?? These are medications that are requested days to weeks in advance! The staff act like this place is hottest spot in town, but I'm yet to see the paparazzi outside the pharmacy window. It's actually the LEAST busy pharmacy that I think I've ever seen, and well it's obvious now why no one wants to come here. On top of just straight up not doing their jobs, the pharmacy staff here are pretty darn rude so that's just the icing on the cake. Stay far, far away from here. You'd be better off getting your meds through snail mail. read more

My pregnant wife tried to get into the minute clinic at 4:30pm on a Saturday. The Indian female doctor there told her she wouldn't have time to see her and turned her away without even asking what she was going in for. Granted, this was an hour before they closed and on the computer, it said there was a 0 minute wait time but would not let her sign in to get care. So suffice to say, the doctor getting out of work on time was more important than providing medical care to a pregnant woman in need. Do no harm, eh? This woman should be fired. This is by far the WORST CVS Pharmacy I've ever stepped into. I love a good sale, just as much as the next person, but don't display something is "on sale" if it's not. Chocolate covered almonds, my fiancé's favorite snack, the store had an off-brand container that was on sale for 6 dollars and some change which is usually 9 dollars. Sounds like a good deal, so we grabbed it. Get to the counter and as the incredibly rude, non smiling employee scans the few items we have, I pointed out that the almonds weren't the sale price displayed. The snacks and almonds were right behind me, so I just took the almonds and confirmed that they were the ones that matched the sale, THEY WERE. I confirmed that it was not a promotional sale that was only valid when you bought 2. That was the price for an individual can of chocolate almonds. No catch, no "read between the lines" requirement. I assured that the brand and item number matched the one on the price tag. IT DID! The only thing that caught my mind was that we would have to scan our rewards card and wait to check out for the sale price to display, just like you do at Walgreens. So I calmly walked back to the checkout and proceeded. She assured that was the issue. She scanned my rewards card, I proceeded to pay. She told me to answer the questions on the screen, there were no questions to answer. She didn't care if I got the sale price or not. She was rude to her coworkers and rude to the shoppers. After I paid, she hands me the receipt and WAALAA, 9 damn dollars for the can of almonds! I point it out to her and she replies, "I'm not sure, maybe it's for a different product". I respond with frustration that I just walked over there to verify this was the correct price, as long as her eyes worked, she could clearly see from where she was standing that it was the correct sales price. Oh, but she didn't care. She didn't care that she had her charged me 3 dollars. She refused to walk her lazy butt across the isle to see that she didn't give me the sale price. She was unfriendly, rude and not helpful AT ALL. Being in customer service role myself, I understand what it is to provide exceptional service to customers. It is people like her who shouldn't have a job dealing with people, or a job at all, if they're going to take it for granted like that. CVS should be completely ashamed to have her representing the front end of their store. I'll be speaking to the General Manager when he returns tomorrow. The lady who provided horrible service is a middle aged woman, shoulder length light brown hair w/ highlights, possibly Hispanic, frowned face. Just walk into the store, you'll know it's her. My fiancé and I were late for a business meeting and we had to go, she wasn't helping us anyways and I had no more time to waste arguing with her. Horrible service, horrible employee. I don't care if it was a 50 cents difference, I would never give someone that service and I expect to never receive it. Time to start looking for a new job lady. read more

The pharmacist and tech were clearly busy the evening I stopped by to pick-up my prescription. The person who helped me stopped to process my transaction and I appreciate not feeling rushed. "Do you have any questions for the pharmacist?" she asked. This is a standard question which unfortunately turned out to be a courtesy question. I told the tech that I wanted to know what the medicine was. I described my situation that day (I called my doctor's office to have my symptoms assessed and later received a voicemail from the receptionist saying she called in a prescription to pick-up). I wanted to know how it would help me. Tech: "It's antibiotics." Me: "So is it like a liquid that I take once a day or something?" Tech: "Yeah, it's antibiotics." (OK... didn't you just say that?!) My bottle actually contained capsules to take twice a day. Turns out the lady didn't really look at what she was handing me and chose not to spend the time explaining it to me. This was a bit disappointing considering I had a question this time. (I usually don't.) Although the lady herself was nice and easy to talk to, our actual conversation was unfortunately generic.. read more

The few times I have visited this store, I always feel like I'm stepping into a time warp. The carpeted floors just blow me away. It just seems so unnatural, for a drug store. One reason I don't like going to Walgreens or CVS stores is because a lot of strange people shop here. They have weird coupons or digging at the bottom of their purse for a penny or realize they don't have enough money and decide, at the register, what to keep and what to put back. I just don't have time for that. It's not really fair.. I like convenience, too! I should have read the reviews before coming in here. (dummy) All I needed was a battery and I probably paid double for it. Yep.. just checked Target and I could have gotten a 2 pack for, $2.39. I got one for $5.49! An emergency stop for tummy ache remedy after breakfast brought me here this morning. I am pretty loyal to Walgreens, but this was on the way. The store was clean and neat. Nobody greeted me when I walking in; something I noticed because I've come to expect that at Walgreens. I'm not sure, but I may have been the only customer in the store. The signs on the aisles were easier to read than in most stores, so I quickly found what I needed. I chuckled to myself as I stood beside a large red circle that advertised my problem, " Gas & Diarrhea." Stomach remedies would have sounded a little better, imho. Anyway, the CVS brand was a good deal and in the long run, saved the day. I have to respect that they took a hit in profits to stop selling cigarettes a few years ago. It was the right thing to do. Overall, I can't find anything to deem them of anything less than four stars. Ultimately it was neater and easier to find items than in Walgreens. The aisles are wider and more clearly marked. Although I was not greeted, the cashier was very personable when I checked out. read more

The good about this place: it's waaayyyy more convenient than Walgreens. The staff are friendlier, they help you find things, and they don't lock everything away. They have a huge selection for a store this size. The bad: don't go here for a prescription if you are near death. They never seem to have any of my prescriptions in stock. I end up having to wait 24-48 hours to get medications filled. I suppose they need to keep costs down, but it's a huge pain in the neck to have to come back twice to refill a prescription. Overall better than Walgreens, but could still use a better stock. read more

Made a quick stop here for some essentials but only because I had a gift card. I had a gift card from another location because I had to return some terrible quality prints but forgot my receipt. Walking in I noticed that they carry NYX cosmetics, which is my favorite low end brand right now. So after I grabbed what I needed I decided I can always use another Butter Gloss. The prices at CVS are higher so I wasn't surprised when I had to pay .30 more than I usually do. Disappointment set in when I got in the car, went to open my over priced gloss, and saw it was separated. Gross. So they get one star for being open 24 hours. And one star for carrying one of my favorite brands. But overall...meh. I'm going to see if I can exchange my gloss for a fresh one... read more

I have only stopped in here a few times although I pass by often. I just never thought to make this a "go to" place when I needed something since I was unfamiliar with the layout and it is a bit further from me than other pharmacies. This week I was desperate! My son just got braces. He had cuts in his mouth that went away, but alas there was one cut that just kept hurting & growing and really needed MORE, much more, than the usual wax that he was told to keep applying to the hardware. I had gone to two other pharmacies and I could not get a different answer. FINALLY, some expertise! The pharmacist told me about mouth bandages---found over-the-counter in the toothbrush aisle, applied directly to the wound inside the mouth like a bandage to protect & cover the sore for up to 12 hours. HURRAY! Problem solved! Wound is finally healing. So relieved! There really is a product out there for just this thing. Bandages for mouth wounds! Now, who would have thought! read more

CVS any day and every day over Walgreens! [Especially the case in Naperville] CVS always has numerous cash back deals or weekly specials that blow other drug stores in the area out of the water. You can earn cash back points AND use your cash back coupons at the same time. At Walgreens, you cannot earn and redeem your points at the same time (which I learned the hard way). Every $50 you spend on beauty products, you get $5 in cash back too. There are also machines (if you are a card member) where you can get extra coupons like 30% off toothpaste or snacks that you can stack on top of the sales/coupons you already have. Customer service here is also wonderful if you want to ask them to search for something in the back. There have also been times where a sale was misplaced, but they always honor their mistake (and don't look at you pissed off)! I'll admit it, I still have all my prescriptions go to Walgreens (but that's because I've been registered there my entire life) but for everything else CVS all the way. read more

I had some bad experience with this CVS pharmacy and eye clinic. at this location. For the pharmacy, they gave me the Prescription with no cap, just seal. Second time, I filled my Prescription for 5 days, 2 tablets a day, I got only 9 tablets. For the eye clinic, they don't have much of selection and the prescription for my glasses made me dizzy, the dept so shallow or something like that, it's hard to describe. I may move my Prescription to Walgreen. read more

wish I could leave a zero star for the way your associate just talked to me. we were running a few minutes behind for our covid tests but I had already received a text from her saying that they had a lot of cancellations so they could take us asap. she then proceeded to call me and berate me for running late huffing and puffing like a literal baby. we arrive after having scheduled this the other day while also making sure to have uploaded our insurance prior to the appointment. she then tells me that we didn't do anything we were supposed to & is audibly sighing complaining that she will now have to take pics of our info. The young African American woman who checked me out was soo clueless. It took her forever to search for my RX. Looking at piles and piles of bins. It was ridiculous. She also started to socialize with people and had gotten her phone out and was showing off pics... Very unprofessional. The gentlemen waiting next to me was upset as well. He had been waiting an HOUR for his RX. They had about 7 people working behind the pharmacy and not one knew what the heck they were doing. DO NOT go here if u don't like incompetence. Just had a great experience with Elizabeth, who works there. The lens fell out of my glasses as I was getting fuel across the street. I came here and she not only helped me find the repair kits in my nearly blind state, but she even put my glasses back together for me!
