We went in looking for a solution to allow my husband to sleep after rotator cuff surgery. Terri…read morehelped us by first showing us wedges they had available. He had already tried that and it was worse than our couch recliner. She suggested that renting a powerlift chair might be helpful. It was on the pricier side, but the only other idea she had. Well, we thought about over lunch and just decided to just purchase a chair. Terri showed us the options and let us just try out the chairs on our own time. We never felt rushed. It was obviously more than we originally thought of doing, but we are sure we won't regret it in the future. The only thing that didn't make us happy, and why this isn't four stars, was the price tag. We picked the chair we liked best & thought the price was what was on the tag. There were options below the big price, like heat & massage, which were things that could be added to the base. Oh, but the material that the chair used was on that list (which we didn't realize because it was not a common name). It was not in the large number on the price tag and added $900 to the price. We didn't know this until we were checking out. We do not blame Terri for this, but the company that thought this was a good idea. The tag should have had the final price, before taxes & delivery not the base price if you could buy it off of the floor like we did.

First time: "you're not that sick, just get the stuff in the aisle" Second time: "we dont carry ANY decongestants behind the pharmacy counter" I'm an asthmatic and my doctor has stressed that what works when i'm very ill is WHAT I SHOULD TAKE. What works? the "nuclear option decongestants" what doesn't work? the crappy no better than placebo stuff that they sell in the aisle. I'm currently crafting a complaint to corporate as we speak. Yes, its in a neighborhood where people are less... financially flush. But that does NOT mean that my husband should have to drive to a further pharmacy to get me medication that my doctor recommends so that I can stay out of the emergency room!!!!!! Due to a lot of organizational problems at my doctor's office, this was pretty tricky but Pure Compounding managed to make this happen and I was able to pick up my prescription on a Saturday. Granted, I've only had 1 transaction so far with them, but I would give them 6 stars out of 5 at the moment if it were possible. The same medication that they're able to fill in usually under an hour takes Martin Avenue 72 hours! If you're familiar with Wellness Health, Park Compounding or Hopewell Pharmacy, these guys are on par if not better than them for specialized methylcobalamin treatment. They do regular potency checks on their methylcobalamin and provided me with a copy of this documentation upon request. They are also are able to ship out of state. The only strange thing is that they weren't able to get proper reimbursement from my insurance when Park Compounding Pharmacy was able to. However, I'm able to claim this on my own with my insurance and it saves me $25-$30/month on shipping when I'm in Illinois!

The parking lot can be hectic getting in and out depending on what direction you're coming/going from, but the convenience of this location trumps the parking lot debacle. Ideally, I use this pharmacy for refills and I never have any problems. Using the drive-thru lane is relatively quick too. The pharmacists are friendly and helpful. The line at the pharmacy can get long, and they definitely don't fill prescriptions as quickly as other pharmacies. Dropping off new prescriptions is a bit of a hassle. This is not a location where you'll want to sit and wait. At my last drop-off, they asked if I could come back two hours later. When I returned, they wanted "five more minutes." It's frustrating when I have to stand in line just to hear that! Some of the pharmacy techs (or whoever is manning the register at the pharmacy) could use a spit-shine in customer service and appearing more polished. I've only stopped in for convenience items like gift cards, and the employees at the register are generally pretty friendly. This Walgreens also sells Milani cosmetics (not all locations do), so I always take a peek at what's in stock. I went here the other day because they were running a 50% off Milani lipsticks deal (seriously, I stocked the hell up, these lipsticks are amazing) and I was looking at the display, wondering if I should just buy every single color, and I was stopped by a nice lady who asked if I needed any help. I didn't really, but I wanted to see if they had anything else in the back and she said no. Then she said they didn't have any of Milani's new liquid lipsticks, which was my next question, so clearly this woman was able to read my mind. I was all set with my selections so she led me up to the registers and we talked about makeup for a while. It's always nice to meet someone who shares the same passion that I do for cosmetics. She also went out of her way to try to get me a coupon to save even MORE money (as if 50% off wasn't enough). Just an all-around great experience. This CVS will continue to get my business.

I initially pulled up to the drive through and sat for approximately 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging I was there. I also pushed the call button 3-4 times to no avail. At one point Shumita walked over to the register at the drive-through, and walked away without acknowledging me. I eventually went inside to get my Rx and complain about the lack of courteousness/service. Instead of attempting any level of service recovery, Shumita continued to repeat that they were understaffed and mentioned that I could complain to CVS about it. She also stated that they'd been working all day without a break as if this made the poor service acceptable. Bottomline is that she missed the point. My frustration was about the lack of courteousness. Simply acknowledging that I was waiting and letting me know they would be with me as soon as possible would have sufficed. Shumita didn't seem to understand this, nor did she express any sentiment of accountability, offered no apology, and ended my transaction with "here ya go". This is a ripe opportunity for employee coaching.

Gates were closed, yet some lady was behind the counter. I gave the benefit of the doubt when i politely asked if and what time they would reopen, or if they were closed. the red signs on the wall in front of where i was standing (from the angle I was at) shows open from 8am-8pm most days. It was 12:40. I did NOT see the monitor to the left that shows they are closed from 12:30-1pm. honest mistake on my part, but to completely ignore someone genuinely asking a question... looking in my direction at me, and NOT respond at all, is beyond rude. some folks would slap this little girl for that, but Im not on that type of time. My point is, What if i someone was illiterate, and could not read? What if someone genuinely does not see a monitor that's positioned off from the direction of the pharmacy gate, such as myself? So i went to the front and politely asked the clerk if the pharmacist was deaf (to give zara some grace) The clerk at the front responds, "no", as i follow up with why I asked that to begin with. To my surprise, as I walk back towards the pharmacy to ask again, she's mouthing off about me asking if she was deaf to some counter part she's on the phone with... how are you so confident to be yapping like that behind a closed gate, like you wont open back up in 15 minutes? You dont know what kind of mood people may be in, or what they are willing to do because of your lack of acknowledgement and respect. I stepped out of my character...being self effacing, I did call her out her name for not being able to easily respond or even point in the direction of the sign (which again, i did not see until going back to the gate after asking the register lady if this zara chick is deaf. I can admit where Im wrong. I can own where I messed up, but this is the person thats in charge of dispensing medication to people?! ‍ who raised you?! yapping behind a closed gate like you're in high school. Parents definitely should've Beat you more as a child because your Bedside manner is beyond horrible. you should not be working with people and definitely should not be in charge of dispensing medications at that station on your own.
