Review is for the Aurora location on Orchard & Indian Trail. 1) Try and get through to them on the phone, not guaranteed to happen. I've tried various times and you are either from the system put on hold OR someone says, "please hold" and then either no one comes back OR the phone mysteriously disconnects after several minutes. Once, twice maybe but this has happened a number of times, extremely frustrating. 2) If you are able to get someone live, I'm sorry to say this because I'm sure there are very nice associates in the pharmacy department, however, not exaggerating, I would say at least 80% of the time, they are extremely rude. Bought a pair of headphones, and the headphones didn't work so I attempted to return them. I didn't have the receipt or the box, but had the card I paid for it with, and the headphones in hand, along with offering to put my phoje nunber in because I purchased them with my account as well. Store manager was extremely rude and refused to even try and give me a refund/replacement. read more

I purchased gift cards at this location for Christmas. When my gift recipients tried to use the cards there was no money available. It appears there was a nationwide issue with certain cards being hacked. When I took this to the manager of this store (who has since been let go) he was very dismissive, condescending, and uninterested in helping me. When I followed up and learned that he was no longer employed the new manager Michelle took on my plea for help. She not only was professional and genuine in her concern but she had a solution within 1 week. Her communication was quick and accurate and she resolved my issues completely. I would also like to praise Rachel, the employee who not only assisted Michelle in helping me but also witnessed my exchange with the first manager and confirmed the terrible treatment I received from him. Pharmacy staff very cold, not friendly. Went inside today and instead of a friendly greeting, all she said was "pick up". No smile, no eye contact...just "pick up". Gave the name and as she turned to pick up the scripts I mentioned that some of those medications were discontinued.... instead of acknowledging me, she proceeded to ring up all the meds that I didn't need. When I asked her if she heard what I said, she said she did but she continued to ring it up. I had to stop her and tell her what pills I needed and what was discontinued. She stepped aside to allow the pharmacist to make changes in computer and then she rang up the pills and tossed the bag across counter to me. No thank you, no smile....nothing. My service was fine but hearing the employees mocking and making fun of a customer was so disrespectful and rude. Very unprofessional.

Never have I EVER had such an issue with a pharmacy. I've used this location in the past and they've always been good, but today they just lost a customer. My doctor's office had sent over 4 refills for me and I had called earlier today to see the status on them. They said they had 2 ready but the other 2 could not be refilled because I just had them refilled (which was false). I called my doctor's office and they said they would take care of it since I needed them all. My doctor calls me back 10 minutes later saying that one prescription was ready, 2 could be refilled and the 3rd one they said was on hold for some reason. So basically the pharmacist lied. I call CVS back and tell them what my doctor told me. The lady says "well I have one ready, I can refill 2 and the other one I have to check" and then leaves me on hold for 10 minutes. She finally says she can refill them all and asks me when I want to pick them up. I ask if 4 is fine and she says yes. Great. Problem solved. Not. I get there at 4:15 and the lady at the drive thru tries to hand me 2 prescriptions and I'm like no... I should have 4. She goes "oh, the other 2 aren't ready. You can either wait 15 minutes or come back tomorrow." So I wait. 20 minutes actually, just to make sure it's ready. Pull back around to the drive thru. SHE TRIES TO HAND ME 3 AND IM LIKE NO!!! And she tells me they can't refill the other one AFTER THEY JUST SAID THEY COULD AND THE DOCTOR TOLD THEM THEY NEEDED TO. Are you joking..? This will be the LAST time I use this pharmacy. If it had been one mistake, fine. But this was just a mess of mistakes and sheer incompetence and now I'm pissed. Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I usually fill my prescriptions at Walgreens down the street (I'm a creature of habit, what can I say?) but CVS has gotten pretty much all of my drugstore makeup purchases lately. I went here the other day because they were running a 50% off Milani lipsticks deal (seriously, I stocked the hell up, these lipsticks are amazing) and I was looking at the display, wondering if I should just buy every single color, and I was stopped by a nice lady who asked if I needed any help. I didn't really, but I wanted to see if they had anything else in the back and she said no. Then she said they didn't have any of Milani's new liquid lipsticks, which was my next question, so clearly this woman was able to read my mind. I was all set with my selections so she led me up to the registers and we talked about makeup for a while. It's always nice to meet someone who shares the same passion that I do for cosmetics. She also went out of her way to try to get me a coupon to save even MORE money (as if 50% off wasn't enough). Just an all-around great experience. This CVS will continue to get my business. read more

Wanted to self checkout and accidentally scanned item two times. Rude worker told me to put in bag for weight (even though I pressed skipped bagging) and wouldn't let me explain. I told her I scanned it two times and just pressed to checkout and left. I went to checkout at pharmacy area and before I left she came up to me and said: "what, your not buying?" and I just left. Horrible experience and will not be coming back. Whoever that short haired blonde women is you'd definitely want to retrain her for customer service because that was unacceptable. read more

I picked up a prescription from Clara at the drive up window this past Thursday. She was so pleasant and I had one of the best services experiences. I don't like going to CVS because normally the customer service there is awful. Pleasant surprise and Thank you for making my day a little bit better. read more

After being a long time customer of this other chain pharmacy with green walls, I'm very happy to have switched to CVS. Medication refills in our house are a weekly occurrence, so fast and efficient service is golden. We just weren't getting that before. CVS says something will be ready in 20 minutes, it's ready in 10. We actually had to wait behind 1 single car the other day, the longest we've ever had to. The only thing I find very confusing about CVS is that they are advertising so vigorously and proudly that they are about health and wellness so have made the decision to quit selling tobacco. Um... what about the alcohol? To me, this says the profit margin on alcohol is a little too high to sacrifice for your "health and wellness". But either way, I like the pharmacy at CVS. read more

Rx Peeps: this is by far the quickest shortest line ever for drop off and pick up for prescriptions. They have a drive in plus the pharmacists are actual nice unlike the busier pharmacies in town. read more

I'm not the biggest fan of CVS as a pharmacy chain, but they beat out Walgreens because of their customer credit program (ExtraBucks). This particular store is excellent because the people who work there really care about their customers. We have been going to this one for 4 years roughly and they always recognize us and let us know of special deals or sales. The pharmacy people are very good even during crunch times; they always do their level best to serve with a smile. I am on a friendly basis with most of the people at this store because we fill many prescriptions there each month and shop there for other goods as well. If you need a new pharmacy in West Aurora, I suggest this one. Plus, they have never made a mistake with our prescriptions. read more

The worst most embarrassing experience, I went there before going to walgreens for makeup, but one of the employees followed me around the entire time I was shopping. The only thing I found since they didn't have what I was looking for was a lipstick but then I remembered walgreens had the same brand on sale so I decided after being made uncomfortable by the employee following me to return the lipstick back to the display right in front of the cashier and I left....or tried to. Then another RUDE & BELIGERANT employee accused me of putting something in my pocket. So I walked right up to the counter lifted up my shirt since I had bike shorts on to show him I had NO POCKETS! then he claimed I put it in my bag which I offered to him to look and he continued to harass me and was extremely rude! I could have just left but I offered all my personal property for inspection instead he just kept badgering me! I should have dumped my bag all over his counter! So I left and spent $80 at walgreens then made a call to customer service. Was told Ed the district manager would make sure this doesn't happen to other customers. This situation could have been handled so much more professionally. I will NEVER be back at this or ANY CVS read more
