She went in to grab some detergent on sale, and as soon as we got to the register, the cashier--Mahendra, an older Indian man--called his manager over, claiming he needed approval for the purchase. He then said, "you people come in and buy all the detergent on sale to resell it." My sister immediately confronted him, asking, "Who is 'you people'?" He then claimed she wasn't buying the detergent for her home. How does he think he knows what someone's purchasing it for? She had 4 Tide, 4 Gain, and 4 fabric softeners because they were 4/$10--perfectly within the sale limits. When the manager arrived, even she seemed taken aback by his comments. She ended up ringing us up herself because she clearly didn't agree with what he said. If this hadn't been the third Walgreens we'd visited (since the others were sold out), we would've left everything right there. It's outrageous for our money to go to a store where we're treated like this. As soon as we left, my sister called corporate to file a complaint against Mahendra. This kind of racial profiling and disrespect cannot be tolerated.

I contacted the store and informed them of this unexpected turn. I was aware of athe 25% re-stocking fee and was prepared to bite the bullet. Unfortunately, I was told that the 10 day window started when I paid for it despite that window being eaten up waiting for delivery. So too bad so sad- they have my money and I have a wheelchair that no one will ever use. Bet they are looking forward to their next 150 years of taking care of customers. Due to a lot of organizational problems at my doctor's office, this was pretty tricky but Pure Compounding managed to make this happen and I was able to pick up my prescription on a Saturday. Granted, I've only had 1 transaction so far with them, but I would give them 6 stars out of 5 at the moment if it were possible. The same medication that they're able to fill in usually under an hour takes Martin Avenue 72 hours! If you're familiar with Wellness Health, Park Compounding or Hopewell Pharmacy, these guys are on par if not better than them for specialized methylcobalamin treatment. They do regular potency checks on their methylcobalamin and provided me with a copy of this documentation upon request. They are also are able to ship out of state. The only strange thing is that they weren't able to get proper reimbursement from my insurance when Park Compounding Pharmacy was able to. However, I'm able to claim this on my own with my insurance and it saves me $25-$30/month on shipping when I'm in Illinois!

They do fill same day fairly quickly despite how busy they are. I'd imagine it could be frustrating there is also no drive-thru, but I have never had any mistakes or problems with insurance processing I would need them to re-do. However, I have found that Osco has been careless filling my prescriptions. As an example, they mixed together in one prescription bottle, medication from two different manufacturers without explanation. It was the same medication however one was a large pill and others were very small. I was to take 1 and 1/2 pills per night but due to carelessness on the part of Osco, I was taking a double dose of medication. This is unacceptable and dangerous. I went back to Osco and was told by another pharmacist that normally they would put the two different medications from different manufacturers in different bottles. Well, not this time! Be careful if you use Osco Drug. I never had such a problem at Walgreens.
