Expecting some guests who would likely play, we decided to have the piano checked out and Lee gave us an estimate of the work involved and came over exactly on time. While inspecting and tuning the piano, he gave us an excellent overview of the qualities of this particular piano and also explained what differentiates pianos - which was very interesting and informative to us. He cautioned us ahead of time that given the length of time since the piano had been tuned previously, it would probably require a follow-up about a month later to finish the job (I wonder if this is where the term "fine-tuning" comes from!?) and this turned out to be true. Lee returned a few weeks later and was able to finish the task and the piano didn't require any additional maintenance other than the tuning. He was very pleasant and professional and we appreciated him sharing his knowledge with us while taking care of the business at hand. It was clear that he enjoys the kind of work he does, and takes great pride in it. We would definitely recommend him to friends and family.

She called me at 2 p.m, and went on to tell me that they need to set up their day to make sure they are not criss-crossing the city. That is fine, but once you make your plan why not contact your customer and let them know. Cindy doesn't care to hear any of this, "that is their policy". She is not concerned with any of your problems. I think for the price, they could have someone answer the phone and update you on when they will be arriving. The movers acted professional and worked quickly once they arrived. But don't expect any customer service. They will get to you when they get to you. It sounded perfectly as it was in the place where it came from. Three guys did the job and were all very friendly. One question though: Don't they have an official receipt or something? I asked for a receipt, it was provided but written at the back of a business card. Nevertheless, I recommend hiring these guys. I booked the day off of work to be there. They were scheduled to be there between 12-3 on November 3rd, as per our official booking notice we received. We received a call from Amber Piano movers around 10am to confirm the pick up between 12-3, saying that McNally requested they do the pick up for them. We made the arrangements and made sure to be home from 12-3. We received a call at the pick up location informing us that they would be there between 3 and 4. At 4:30, I contacted Amber Piano Movers to find out their ETA. He refused to provide us with an ETA, only told us that it would be sometime before the end of the night. We told him it had to be no later than 8pm. He assured me that he would be leaving his current location in Bolton within 1.5 hours. At 7:50, I contacted him yet again and asked where he was. He said "oh, well I guess it looks like I'm not going to make it tonight." As if it was no big deal and that we hadn't been sitting around for EIGHT HOURS waiting for him. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY.

These guys were 5 stars…read more The amazing: - They had to take my door off to get the piano in and it was off in like 20 seconds. - They put the door back exactly as it was when they got here. - They are a pleasure to communicate with via email OR phone. - They did a crazy move for me: drive to Niagara, pick up a keyboard (that weighs 400lbs) from my mother's basement (30 stairs at a 45 degree angle) and bring it to my Nanas. Pick up her upright grand piano (like 800lbs) and drive it to me in Toronto. Bring it up all my stairs and set it up in my living room. The guy was just like... sure, no problem, I'll send 3 guys and a truck. - They bundled all my services (including 2 moves and a tuning) and gave me a discounted rate off the a-la carte prices for everything). - They treated my old piano like it was a brand new one worth thousands of dollars, wrapping it and lifting it carefully at every step of the way. I will definitely use this service again when I move.
