If I could give more stars I would!!! Moving is already stressful as it is, especially moving from Toronto to Sarnia, which is a 3 hour travel distance. Also stopping at a storage unit along the way out of the city. Big oof! We all know what Toronto traffic is like. However, Jason and his team put all my worries to rest. He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff. We had over 40 boxes and tons of furniture. 11/10 I would use them again and highly recommend them! They are true to their word "In and out". read more

Hire them. In & Out Moving were exactly what I'd hoped for from a moving company. They provide excellent service. I had initially booked a large company (Armstrong) but many red flags prompted me to cancel and look for a better alternative. I am very glad I ended up booking I&O. We hired a team of three I&O people to move us from a west-end Toronto apartment to an east-end Toronto row house. When the movers arrived, I was stressed out because the apartment building management failed to put the elevator on service, as booked, and took their time getting someone out. The movers were relaxed and said this usually happens. They began planning, furniture wrapping, etc., so by the time the elevator was ready, the first load of stuff was good to go. The team worked very diligently and efficiently. It was impressive. They were complete professionals. Significantly, they had a positive attitude. I was worried about some fragile items, e.g., a large plasma TV, but it was all handled well. I noticed a review somewhere about I&O that criticized them for disassembling a couch. They did this with mine as well. It's a bit concerning to see it happen because you have to trust they know how to re-assemble it on the other side. Trust is hard to have in a moving company. But everything went smoothly. The couch arrived, was re-assembled and checked. There was a slight issue with the responsiveness of the button for releasing the foot rest, but Mike investigated and fixed it without difficulty. They actually know how it works, so dis/re-assembling isn't a problem. Other feature worth noting is that their price structure is transparent and clear. Other companies tried to give me appealing-sounding rates, but when I added up extra fees and surcharges, it ended up being about the same or more expensive than I&O. Even if it were a bit cheaper, I don't feel comfortable dealing with companies that make their costs difficult to understand. The straight-forward policy of I&O is very appealing. I don't hesitate to endorse In & Out. They surprised me in a good way, and I plan to use them again in the future when I need a moving company. read more

I caught the movers ordering a McDonalds delivery during the move and taking turns for breaks eating on the truck, with the clock running, not during ordinary lunch hour. I felt that they slow-walked it, often taking one item at a time, sparingly using a dolly, and while I was quoted 3 1/2 hours, it took 6, at nearly double the cost anticipated. When I confronted them about the time, they blamed it on the distance from the moving room to elevator at both locations, which was nonsense. Those were ordinary conditions. I was completely packed, and they said so themselves on arrival. Giving a 2 stars only because they were generally respectful with my things, and seemed like decent fellows at first. This type of thing probably happens with other movers, but I'd recommend someone who will give you a fixed rate rather than a running clock so you know what you're paying. read more

My brother said "I'd give them 11 stars out of 10 if I could." We had to move my mother out of a one bedroom apartment. It was not a big move; no appliances, only 2 large pieces of furniture, moving a short 10 minute drive away... checked out a couple of moving companies. One company said we'd need three men for 8 hours which would be a couple thousand dollars, which was laughable given the size and distance of our move. 3 or 4 hours is what we estimated we'd need. I liked the reviews I read of In and Out so I checked their Small Move rate which sounded right for our situation. Two hours, then a half hour charge every half hour after that. Jason is the owner manager of the company and he was quick to reply to emails and then arranged a phone call with me to discuss the move. He's a lovely communicative guy and makes you feel like your business matters to him. On the day, they were efficient, expedient and came across as happy positive people. Just what you want on a stressful moving day. We're just sorry we don't have a job for them every week. read more

On time. Super carefull. From the first conversation they were very simple to deal with. We got all our prices in writing up front - so there were no surprises or hidden costs. They wrapped everything and even double wrapped one pretty expensive antique we have. We had a bit of unique situation where we where moving from a rather large condo (1400 square feet), but the darn condo only gave us 3 hours of elevator to get out. It was really ridiculous! We opted to go with there 4 guys and 2 trucks deal and it was totally worth it! A move that all the companies quoted us 8 to 10 hours ( even them) ended up taking 5 hours. They where a machine. The last hour was just my wife getting them to rearrange everything. Final bill came to $1, 243 with taxes.  In my opinion totally worth the service, not to mention cheaper then their competitors. Way overrated! We have used in&out for our move last month. Very nice guys but frankly, that's not enough.., we were looking for professional movers to move us from our old home to our new home, and we were disappointed. It started wrong when they came in about an hour late.., then they were just not very professional. Couldn't handle heavy stuff, and tried to dismantle anything they could to avoid moving heavy items (like our elliptical). They were not prepared for our move (we asked a few times before our date if they want to see our house and what needs to be moved upfront, but they kept saying they don't need to see it) and it took them too long. The only positive I have to say is that they were super nice!, unfortunately this is not what we needed, we needed good movers.. Update: So the owner is claiming this is a fake review..?, so I'm attaching a picture of their truck loading our stuff in our driveway. Holy crow! I'm wishing there was a sixth star button right about now. Hell, even a seventh. Three guys moved all of my stuff in just over an hour. They cracked jokes, were careful with all my valuables and put everything in the appropriate room upon arriving at their final destination. I've used them twice, and both times they've exceeded expectations. This time, they even price adjusted down, because they had originally quoted me at two hours. I generally prefer root canals to moving, and selecting a moving company is one of the most stressful parts of the process. Based on their excellent Yelp reviews, I reached out to Jason at In & Out moving, and his company proceeded to make this process as painless as possible. Scheduling was no problem and communication was good. Their two-person crew and truck showed up early and were friendly and pleasant. Sam and Jas were careful with my belongings and wrapped all the fragile items in plenty of pads or shrink wrap. They were definitely well-secured and professionally arranged in the truck. I was a bit nervous hiring a moving company that charges by time, but I quickly learned I had no reason to fear as they were definitely not taking a furtive smoke break. When they got to my new apartment up a flight of stairs to the second floor, they were busting their behinds to get my stuff up the stairs. It was the hottest day of the year so far, and they barely even stopped to take a drink of water. Really seriously hard-working guys. In the end, everything was moved in perfect condition save for 1 broken wine glass, which is entirely expected given that we packed stuff ourselves. This is definitely a 4.5 review. I had a complicated move. First, my house - then my new place where my boyfriend lived, then stuff going on and off the truck and then stuff from BOTH our places going to my grandparents. We also got nailed by the condo board for moving on a Sunday. But In & Out were GREAT. They were super nice guys, easy to talk to and definitely not trying to rip you off. They estimated that it would take far less time than it actually did but I think that was totally related to our condo board sitch (we couldn't use the elevator) and they did their best to work around that. The only reason why it isn't 5 stars is that some of my stuff got a little damaged. But it was IKEA stuff and that generally doesn't stand up to a move. All of my belongings in my bins and everything that WASN'T Ikea came out fine. Also, at the end they charged us an almost unreasonably fair price for their services (since the timing went so far over). They were amazing guys to work with and I highly suggest going with them for your next move. They're really kind and really helpful. read more

Okay, listen and listen good. If you do NOT hire this company to do your move, you're just plain out of your tree. All of my email correspondence after booking was answered very quickly and very professionally. Jason answered all of my questions without exception and even put my mind at ease about the whole moving thing. Full move in under 3 hours. Nothing missing. Nothing broken. And just the best experience ever. Jason, Scott and Gord (who is very powerful) were extremely friendly, funny and unbelievably efficient. What a price, too! A high 4.5, maybe 4.75 This was my first time hiring movers, so I was hesitant. But after thorough research I chose In and Out and I'm glad I did! David and Jason are incredibly nice, friendly and professional. They showed up on time, brought wardrobe boxes, wrapped up our television and treated all of our belongings as if they were their own. Our move took a little longer than we all expected - even with the nonstop help of my boyfriend and me - but it was still really fast and actually (I can't believe I'm saying this) kind of fun! There were no hidden or extra costs just as they promised and they stayed true to their original quote, which they had emailed me confirmation of in writing well beforehand. They even gave me a lift to the new place. Unfortunately a piece of a special item of mine got accidentally broken off on the load out. I know it was a pure accident (it wasn't dropped or anything) and David felt so authentically horrible he immediately offered to weld it for me or to take some money off our bill. We opted for the latter. Even though it was clearly a professionally handled mishap, I am deducting a fraction of a star because this is one of my most prized possessions and it looks like simple welding will not repair it. I wish it had been wrapped first. Despite this, I definitely and highly recommend In and Out movers! They're fast, efficient and competitively priced. I had a GREAT moving experience with these guys! In & Out Moving made my move completely hassle-free and fast. After reading a host of bad reviews about movers in Toronto (though none about this company), I was incredibly anxious about them being slow, snarky, or not showing up at all. My fears were completely allayed when one of the guys called me ten minutes before their scheduled time letting me know that they were on their way. They were maybe 5 minutes late, but packed up their van with my 1-bedroom Annex apartment in an hour and unpacked it in the Entertainment District in 45 minutes. I've used In & Out movers now on three separate occasions and all three move went swiftly and smoothly. Jason and his team did an excellent job ensuring my hardwood floors were covered and protected, wrapped all my furniture and even accommodated my stops along the way to donate some furniture to The Furniture Bank and also pick-up two new mattress' and box springs. Their fee is $155.00 for the first hour and $55.00 per 30 min thereafter. The clock starts the minute they begin and ends the minute they finish. Oh, and I forgot to mention, there are no other hidden fees, no mileage fees, and they're super friendly and professional. I'm hoping I don't have to move again for quite sometime, however should the need arise, In & Out Movers will be my first and only choice. read more

WOW!!!! Just WOW. Never again will I struggle with moving a couch down an awkward narrow hallway with a hairpin turn. No longer will I call on the might power of He-man to lift said couch over an extra 6 inches of hand railing going up 2 flights of stairs. I will let In & Out take care of it. After all they are professionals. They showed up at 10:30, and were 100% completed the move by 2:30. Now mind you, we had all our stuff in boxes in the main room and the elevator booked for the appropriate amount of time. We just coordinated with Mike and we left the rest to them. They disassembled our 4x4 heavy Ikea Expedit shelving unit in record time and transported it with ease for us to put back together that night. It's already got the bar in it. They even disassembled my frustratingly awesome pull out, again, by Ikea. (They hate that word. Just kidding. No but seriously I can't imagine how much stuff they see made by them Swedes) Anyway, they were friendly, considerate, easy to work with and AFFORDABLE. HOLY MOLY! Some of the other movers quoted us double the amount it actually cost for these guys to get our stuff moved. Oh, and did I mention, I actually do have a 3rd floor, no elevator with extra high railings coming into the back. They hauled it all out of the truck faster than it took to get it all IN the truck. 4.5 stars for sure. I asked around and did some research to find a moving company who would not charge a ridiculous amount for the few items I needed to move just a few blocks away. In & Out Moving definitely offered the best deal. $150 for the first hour, no extra/hidden fees, $55 for each half hour after the first hour. They were a bit late to the pick up, as they were coming from across town and there was construction going on in the city. But they called me to let me know they were on their way. No big deal. They arrived and I showed them the things that needed to be moved (my bed out a second story window), the rest down 2 or 3 flights of stairs. They were incredibly fast, friendly and efficient. The whole thing, start to finish, was an hour and a half. Easy peasy. Half a star off because they broke the glass top of my dining room table, which was a bit of a sentimental piece. I had wrapped it just in a sheet and I didn't really stress that it was super fragile, non-tempered glass. BUT they felt horribly about it breaking, and the poor guy that actually broke it looked really upset. Because of their obvious sincerity, and offer to see about discounting my move (which they did knock some $ off), how could I be mad? Breaks happen during a move, that's just life. I would 100% use them again if I move and would definitely recommend them to everyone. No BS and awesome people to deal with. read more

I must say, totally worth the extra money to have it done professionally. 4.75 - these guys were great; friendly, professional, really responsive, reasonably priced and quick. They were running a bit late but called at their expected arrival time to tell us they were not far away. Let me say, we have a LOT of stuff and I was 36w pregnant at the time, so about as useful as a bump on a log during the whole process. And yet they would have taken about 4 1/2 hours to do the whole move (including a 20 minute commute from one house to the other), but they couldn't fit the whole house in the truck they brought, so they drove back and picked up what was left; a courtesy that they did at no extra cost to us. Including the second trip, we were done in 6 hours. They were careful and incredible at packing the truck, with the only damage to our stuff being a small (about a foot long) tear to the underside of one of the bed bases. Excellent from start to finish. Friendly, professional service during a process that can be stressful is valuable. I researched over a dozen moving companies before choosing In & Out and am glad I did: trustworthy (accessibility and transparency), affordable (not the cheapest but those companies looked potentially sketchy), their flexibility (whatever level of service you want, minimum of only two hours and they let me change the date), made me feel like they would care about the service they were going to provide by talking to me on the phone first and answering all my questions. I read a lot of reviews before hand and this is what I can suggest: if you want a successful move, make it so yourself by telling the company before hand what problems they might encounter (from location to items, to door widths to parking), and organize, organize, organize your stuff to make the move as efficient (and hence cost effective) and harmonious as possible. I had a detailed checklist and a colour code for all items that made the move practically self-explanatory for my moving team and as a result less stressed. In turn they were happy and efficient and I was more relaxed; confident that we weren't burning up time and money needlessly. Overall I ended up moving about 1500sqft worth of stuff in about 7 hours approx. including a treadmill that had to be disassembled and reassembled. Now I only wish I could hire them to unpack and put everything away for me! I would definitely hire them again and will tell my real estate agent about them to recommend them to others. We had a minor appliance swap of fridges and ovens today from 2 locations and I must say that our experience was exceptional. Initial phone calls with Jason and emails with Adam to get quotes and to set it up was very easy. The guys answered all my questions quickly and professionally. Although, In & Out Moving was not known by anyone we knew or who had dealt with them before, we were glad we found them. Scott, Mike and Jason showed up ahead of schedule and were ready to proceed with the move right away. They were fantastic. Really knew what they were doing and got the job done in an hour. Moving usually sucks, right? The great guys at In & Out Moving made sure our latest move did not suck. At all. We moved the contents of our 1+1 bedroom condo to two separate locations (storage and a new residence while we're having renos done) in downtown Toronto. The three guys -- all very polite, professional, knowledgable (and strong, wow) -- wrapped our furniture and packed the truck specially to accommodate the double drop-off. It all went down in 4 hours, which was pretty great, considering that we had bulky furniture, a lot of boxes (around 50), a big shelf to dismantle, and it was cold and snowing. The guys were constantly moving. There was some light damage to one piece of furniture, but everything else survived the trip. We will definitely be using In & Out again in a few months. This was easily the smoothest, fastest move I've ever experienced! In & Out Movers came 10 minutes early and were done within 3 hours (and believe me, we have a LOT of stuff!). The guys were friendly and professional - a real pleasure to work with. They protected all our belongings, came prepared with blankets and dollies and were super efficient the whole time. Most honest mover I have ever experienced. The truck showed up exactly on time and the two guys jumped into action. They assessed the items to be moved and proceeded to carefully wrap and protect all furniture. Nothing had any damage and they placed all items where we wanted them in the new location. They unwrapped everything and removed all garbage. The most surprising part of the move is that they were finished in much less time than we expected. The bill reflected exactly how long they've took and was calculated from when the truck arrived at our house until the last piece of furniture was placed to our satisfaction. We were charged quite a bit LESS than we expected! When was the last time anyone could say that about their experience with a mover? We can give this company five stars happily.
