Also stopping at a storage unit along the way out of the city. Big oof! We all know what Toronto traffic is like. However, Jason and his team put all my worries to rest. He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff. We had over 40 boxes and tons of furniture. 11/10 I would use them again and highly recommend them! They are true to their word "In and out".

I've moved around a fair bit and rarely have i had a good experience moving. I find movers are too…read moreexpensive, show up late and then you end up with broken plates. Not this time! I feel like I really lucked out choosing Innercity. Andre was a hoot and so were his guys, Mike and Alan. The owner asked me alot of questions when we booked the move and they came with the right type of equipment to get me out of one house and into the other. They dismantled my bed and reassembled it in my new place. Did the same with the kids beds and my table. No lost screws or missing table legs. No nicked walls and for the first time all my plates got to the other side. Saved my carpets too as (of course) it had to be raining! I moved from a house with too many stairs downtown to a 3-bed bungalow in Markham. I got a mid-month special, and I was entertained by Andre and Mike throughout the move. I recommend them.

As I mentioned in my previous review, the movers were highly skilled and very experienced but mistakes were made that caused some damage to my furniture. We're human and we all make mistakes. Minor damage to furniture is a normal part of moving and I expected it when I hired this company. What I didn't expect was that the owner would take the time to contact me, to listen attentively to my complaints and then to respond by remedying the situation. I did not expect compassion, kindness or a human being at the end of the phone line who was deeply apologetic. I was very impressed with the humanity shown by Paul. Paul didn't just apologize for the mistakes made by his crew, he took responsibility and ownership for those mistakes. I can not stress enough how awesome these guys are! We moved from a condo to another condo in…read moredowntown Toronto and moving out went smoothly. When we tried to move in to another condo, our lawyer informed that the purchase transaction had gotten delayed to the next day and we would not get keys that day. What a nightmare - all our life belongings were in a moving truck and we couldn't move in and had nowhere to go, or put our stuff! This is where The Six Moving absolutely saved the day. The movers called Zara and she quickly arranged emergency storage for our things for the night and they worked outside regular working hours the next day to get us moved in. It's scary even to think what would've happened had this option not been available. The following day we got the keys and The Six Moving showed up again and Murphy's Law was in full effect again - the moving elevator broke moments before they arrived. Elevator service technician was called but it was unknown when they would arrive. The Six Moving assured us they will stay as long as required until we can move in. How amazing is that? It really calmed our nerves and helped us keep our sanity. After a lengthy delay, the elevator started working again and we managed to move in very quickly and efficiently - late at night. Here's a fine example of paying a little extra but getting huge benefit from it. I'm sure many moving companies would have just left and not care what happened to us. Melody at customer service and was extremely nice and professional.It gave me confidence that I had chosen the right company in a sea of scammers and fly by night artists. Jan and James arrived on time and Jan put me at ease with his calming demeanour.Another guy with a Hertz Rent a Truck showed up claiming that I had confirmed with him (which I had not) and he scammed around a bit and then left.My movers were very fast and proficient and wrapped everything that needed wrapping like the couch and matress.Note that it helped big time that we had stacked all our boxes near our door inside and were very organized beforehand.They unpacked our one truckload at our new place fast and we were AMAzed at the price which was UNder initial estimate!!!Would I hire them again?Positively!!!
