As I mentioned in my previous review, the movers were highly skilled and very experienced but mistakes were made that caused some damage to my furniture. We're human and we all make mistakes. Minor damage to furniture is a normal part of moving and I expected it when I hired this company. What I didn't expect was that the owner would take the time to contact me, to listen attentively to my complaints and then to respond by remedying the situation. I did not expect compassion, kindness or a human being at the end of the phone line who was deeply apologetic. I was very impressed with the humanity shown by Paul. Paul didn't just apologize for the mistakes made by his crew, he took responsibility and ownership for those mistakes. Pick this company for moving, the other Yelpers were correct!…read more Tiam is quick in response and easy to correspond with. His team mates were all very friendly, courteous and polite. They are punctual and work non stop even though I kept asking if they need to break for lunch and offered water and snacks! I thought I packed well(proper bins and HD boxes) and the move would take 5 hours but 7 hours later was normal for a 2 bedroom, 1.5 detached house. I blame the garage/shed but these guys kept moving everything out and playing Tetris with the boxes until the truck fit everything in neatly, safely to the very very top. For some items they wrapped the blanket all around and taped it secure without us needing to request it. Really appreciate that attention to detail and care, despite some being IKEA furniture, they treated everything with care. They made it to new house first as we still had to tidy before leaving ourselves and we found they had started unloading the garage items already, without us having to instruct them, wow awesome! They unrolled sturdy foam rubber like mats on the hallways and stairs to protect the hardwood floor and asked for directions to move items I forgot to label or map. They even offered to stay and help us unpack or assemble if needed. Only downside which isn't a biggie was - he forgot the tablet to process the bill so it got emailed next day but I paid him all cash (credit has 3% processing fee) which makes anyone nervous there was no proof - one long tv shelf got scratched (ikea) it didn't get wrapped completely but Tiam was very apologetic and offered compensation which was appreciated I will be using this company again this year as we are doing renos and need to move stuff around one more time. Really disappointing moving experience this time around This…read morewas my 3rd time using this company and my previous experiences back in 2020 were great, which is why I trusted them again for my 2026 move. THIS TIME THO: They overbooked themselves, forcing me to change my moving time and rebook both building elevators. This caused major issues because elevator bookings are strict and hard to coordinate between two buildings. They still charge hourly from the time they leave their office until they return, even when schedule changes were caused by their own overbooking. On moving day, they arrived 2 HOURS LATE. I had to repeatedly call for updates, and the only compensation offered was $50 off, OR charged for 30mins time in total for leaving their office and driving back since they moved us to rush hour time; to which was nowhere near enough considering the disruption caused. Because of their delay, I was scolded by management at both buildings and risked issues with my $500 elevator deposit. Even though everything was fully packed and organized beforehand, they moved so slowly that they couldn't finish within the elevator booking window. My move was only a studio apartment, yet it took: 2 hours to load 2 hours to unload Because they were both late and inefficient, they were unable to complete the move before we were forced to stop elevator access. Customer service kept saying they would "talk to the manager," but ultimately said they couldn't make the movers arrive sooner or provide better compensation. The movers felt significantly slower and less efficient compared to the team I had in 2020. Plus another thing; I clearly labeled certain boxes "FRAGILE / DO NOT STACK," and they still stacked other boxes on top of them. Overall: What should have been an relaxing moving day as I chose to get moving company; became unnecessarily stressful. Based on this experience, the service quality has dropped significantly since 2020, and I would not recommend them anymore. UPDATE(June 1st, 2026): I had already tried discussing fair compensation privately with the company on moving day itself during multiple phone calls, before ever posting this review. At that time, no meaningful resolution was offered. Only after this review was posted did the company contact me and offer an additional $200 compensation, but only if I agreed to remove my review and confirm I would not post or share further about this experience. I declined. After I refused those terms, the offer was reduced to $25 for the inconvenience, while they also acknowledged that my review was factually accurate. This makes it difficult not to question whether the goal was genuine compensation for their service failure, or simply an attempt to have a negative review removed. To be clear: I would have been open to updating my review to reflect a fair resolution. However, asking for the review to be deleted entirely in exchange for compensation is concerning and made this whole experience even more disappointing.

Even the quote from Wise Move was a little on high side initially and I was reluctant to use them. Then Vladislav reached out to me over Yelp, by message and finally by phone. We negotiated terms, I set up things with the retailer I was buying the printer from and Vladislav and his partner did the pickup earlier than the agreed to time, brought the printer to my home and brought it inside and made sure it was placed properly and securely on my media cart. I have never had a moving service pursue me to get the job, and I appreciate that. Every once in a while you need to move a large or heavy piece and family or friends are not available to help. And the cost of a full moving crew is too much (one service was going to charge for a minimum of 3 hours. My job took only an hour from pickup to cart placement). This is a particular niche market that Wise Move Solutions filled for me. Once they were done they moved on to their next job, moving a piano or something!

Everything got sorted, labelled, and organized so that I had easy access to craft stuff in my studio, and all the home maintenance stuff stashed in my laundry room and basement storage areas. We also decluttered my living-dining room and she came up with some excellent ideas about rearranging the space. She arranged for items to be consigned or sold on local buy-sell sites, taking the pictures and organizing transportation as needed. Also stopping at a storage unit along the way out of the city. Big oof! We all know what Toronto traffic is like. However, Jason and his team put all my worries to rest. He also came to look at our place a few days before moving day to assess everything. On moving day, his team packed and wrapped everything very quickly. They were professional, asked questions, kept in contact on the phone during each process of the move and were very friendly. We originally asked for a team of 5 and two trucks but ended up with a team of 4 at the start and 1 truck. Reduced down to a team of 3 at our new place to unpack everything. We were charged accordingly to the changes. No hidden fees or BS, everything was told to us as changes were being made and explained again when the bill came. Prices were super reasonable for the distance. We provided water, gatorade (at both places) and breaks whenever the movers needed. People forget that this is a very physically gruelling task and my partner and I would have never done what they did in such a short period of time. We were so appreciative we even ordered pizza for them at our new place, while they finished unloading all our stuff.
