We came on a Sunday around noon, and the food was mid nothing special. The service on the other hand was not good. It wasn't insanely busy and it took absolutely forever to even get someone to take our drink order. After we ordered drinks our waitress just vanished into thin air and we had to walk up to her and ask to order. I don't know if we caught her on a bad day or if she didn't like us, but she didn't smile once or tried to have a little kindness at all. read more

Saw the mimosa tree and knew we had to check it out! Loved the vibes and decor. Looks like they just redid their patio which was huge and adorable. We sat inside which was on the smaller side but cozy. Would recommend doing a reservation because of this. Started with a chorizo flatbread for an appetizer and did the Mimosa Tree with pineapple, original, cranberry and Bellini. My husband did a peanut butter espresso martini. The mimosa tree was $20 and extremely affordable. I did the caramel apple French toast which was super sweet and delicious and my husband did the morning side breakfast sandwich which had a nice balance of textures. I was excited to try their charcuterie board I've been hearing about. We didn't call for a reservation but walked in and were seated shortly afterwards. There were 12 other patrons eating and drinking when we arrived so it wasn't packed. One server seated us and grabbed our drinks while another grabbed our order a few minutes later. We went with the brunch charcuterie board. I was surprised to see there were no other meats besides two pieces of smoked salmon when the menu stated other selected seasonal meats (see picture). The herb cream cheese was paired nicely with the berries and nuts. The pepper jelly tasted great as well. I personally am not a fan of salmon so I was sad to see no other options of meat to eat when the board arrived. Our server never checked on us again until time to deliver our receipt as well. My wife suggested this because we were looking for something light to eat, and she found that they offered charcuterie boards. Upon walking in, I felt like I was out of my element with fanciness. We did notice that the menu was different in comparison to what we looked at originally, but I did find some items that would like to try. We went ahead and ordered the charcuterie board. I thought it was going to be sparse for us to share, but surprisingly, I walked out satisfied. I'm not a huge sweets fan so I did not necessarily eat a lot of the fruit and the jelly. The first time I went, I ordered a fun drink with the sliders and my friend ordered the flatbread. The next time I went we ordered a few apps to share and the brie cheese app tasted more like cheso than brie but the soft pretzel and the pork belly tacos were absolutely incredible! I visited Sips on 10th with a friend for brunch. We made reservations and were seated outside. The outdoor area was nice, especially the green space as a spot for games. Inside was a bit loud, though outside was quieter and easy to have a conversation across the table. The host was very nice and sat us quickly. The deck is nice, though has no sun covering or shade, so it got pretty hot, even early in the morning. We ordered the mimosa tree to share which was fun. One of the mimosas we ordered was the peach Bellini which I would normally love, though instead of peach puree they must have used peach schnapps or something similar and wasn't great. The food took a while to come out, though our waitress was nice and apologetic. I ordered the Little Italy benedict which was good, though not hot by the time it came out. Overall I had a good time, but would request indoor seating in the summer or would love to have a sun shade/umbrella next time if outside. read more

Sips on 10th is a cute little space where Banana Joe's used to be. I don't know what that was like, but Sips has combined a cocktail bar with an upscale brunch space-- a winning combination. The space is bright with large windows looking out to a deck and grassy area for al fresco dining. Brunch is only on the weekends, but their bar food for regular hours looks great. I ordered a cocktail called Ranch Water that was a real thirst quencher made of Tequila, lime juice, simple syrup, and soda water. My entree was a generous stack of pancakes topped with house-made ricotta cheese and lemon-infused syrup. It was a rich, delicious, and generous portion. Bookguy ordered the charcuterie which had mini bagels, cream cheese, feta, smoked salmon, fruit, and nuts. Except for the feta, he really enjoyed it. These dishes were a departure for us since we usually have traditional egg and meat dishes, which are also available here. I am quickly becoming a big fan on everything on 10th street, and Sips on 10th is a big reason why. One of my favorite things about a spot like this is the vibes and atmosphere quickly transport me to another place, another city, it's incredible. I came in for a girls night out and I was sporting some champagne flute earrings and our server immediately gave me kudos, she was such a impactful part of our evening. She was so fun and personable. We started with wine and I love their Sauvignon blanc, it was delicious. We also ordered our #girldinner aka a charcuterie board. The bread that came was it was toasted, but not too crispy, and the fig jam was sensational. I loved the different kind of semi soft cheeses and almonds. The music they play is great! There was a lot of singing along to certain songs. It was a popular spot on a Friday night, but I can see why! This is a great spot for a group of adults to relax after work or visiting downtown Omaha.

There is no better sound than hearing the pop of a champaign bottom in the middle of the day. I am so glad to have found a bubbly cocktail bar. The drinks are fantastic and affordable. 10 out of 10!!!! The friendly staff makes the whole experience that much more enjoyable. The beef bread was ok. And the tuna rice chip thing (can't remember the name) I wouldn't get again. The rice was hard and inedible.
