    Mixed Grill
    Rogin G.

Wanted a hearty meal that didn't consist of fried food. Sinbad's was a great decision. I ordered the mixed grill plate, and the chicken kebab plate. Our meal was scrumptious. This was a great value for money as the portions are ample. The staff is very friendly and all of the food, including their sauces and toppings are fresh and flavorful. The meat was tender and juicy. I would highly recommend and would go back again.

Mixed plate - kefta, chicken breast, steak, rice, salad, soft pita bread

O M G. So this place has been opened for a few years it seems and we have never cared to try it even though we drove by it every other day. Then my husband one day said let's try it since people are always there. Let me just say - WOW! Everything was fresh and soooo good!!! The mixed plate had kefta, chicken breast, and steak. Everything was cooked to perfection and still HOT when we got home. Not everyone can cook chicken breast perfectly but this place definitely did!! We just went back for our 2nd order within a week. Don't hesitate, give it a try! The portions are generous, food is hot, and for a restaurant in Milwaukee, it is pretty darn good.

    Gyro and Greek Fries

Small little place next to a Cigar shop, but they provide a great value for the price. Tons of meat on the Gyro (way too much for a single sandwich, so come hungry) and the Greek Fries are great!

Falafels were on my mind. Found this place while driving through the city. Reasonably priced and had all the options I happened to be looking for. Ordered the falafel wrap and asked for everything on it + fries. Fries were extremely fresh and hot. The falafels themselves are pretty good. The fixings with the wrap we're just okay. I was looking for onions and more flavor but that was missing. Also ordered hummus, which was pretty decent. It appears they prepare some food options in a microwave, and I'm used to Mediterranean restaurants preparing items from scratch.

    Greek Salad delivered

I ordered a Greek Salad and a Gyro Sandwich delivered. I accidentally ordered the salad and forgot the Gyro Sandwich and called and they were able to add to my order (Yelp shows to call grub hub but they were not helpful). The salad came with good quality romaine lettuce, olives, tomatoes, onions, sweet peppers, cucumbers, chunks of feta cheese and a sweet salad dressing on the side. Salad also included a warm pita bread. The gyro included onions and two tzikki sauces on the side plus a huge amount of meat. Picture doesn't do it justice it was outstanding.

I have been waiting for this place to open for a while and today I saw the lights on and cars in the lot so I stopped by. The place is new construction so it's very clean and new which was nice. The place has a green and white decor with tables and chairs, no booths. There is a soda machine in the dining area for self serve, no bothering the staff for a refill. The menu is super small with sandwiches over lapping into plates with the same basic options and a few salads and sides. I was hoping because it's close to work that the menu would be bigger so it would be a solid lunch alternative in the area, oh well. I ordered the gyro sandwich as my first tasting of the place. The gyro sandwich was not one of those gut bombs but a decent size with onions and tomatoes on the bottom, I guess that's how they do it. The gyro meat was not greasy or juicy like some places sliced thin on the dry side, that's why I like the thick cut places. The gyro comes with one tub of tazaki sauce which was a little tangy, probably could have used two. The gyro meat was just average tasting on a fresh pita with fresh tomatoes and onions, not the wow you gyro. I would get another one because it's close to work but because it's just average and not a destination gyro stop so I would not go her for a gyro crave, OG is still my favorite go to place and it still holds the crown for me. I would like to try a kabob plate next as my next tasting for lunch in the future.

    Fire mix plate!

This place is fire! After finding on yelp I walked from my hotel and can't be happier that I did so! The setting: walking in it is very clean with the ambience of good foreign music. The smell is from the grill capture you from the door. I have the mixed grill and couldn't be happier because it gives you plenty of chicken steak salad and rice. The employees are very friendly and periodically check in on you to make sure you're OK and don't need anything. The food was for flavor as well as the rose. My 5 star rating: I gave this establishment five stars on the basis of having a great staff, great food, and a very clean establishment. Well deserved. I highly recommend to stop by and check this place out as it definitely deserve five stars.

I've been waiting for this place to open up ever since I saw them building here and I'm finally glad to see that they're open for business. I tried out three items to go for my first time here. Got the Beef Kabob Platter, Chicken Shawarma, and gyro. The Beef Kabob Platter was quite delicious I highly recommend this, came with saffron rice, a salad, a garlicky olive oil, a pita bread, and the beef kabob themselves. Rice came nice, the salad was quite delicious, the beef kabob was favorable and with a nice char on it goes great with the rice, salad, and kabob. Gyros here taste like almost any other gyros you could get here in Milwaukee. if you dine in, it looks as if you'll be provided with a squeeze bottle for how ever many tatziki sauce you need, but since I carried out I only got a small cup, like most other gyro place here in Milwaukee. The Chicken Shawarma here surprised me the most. I was always under the impression that chicken shawarma comes in a pita bread, but here, or at least the first time I came here, I received it in a hoagie roll. Not that its a bad thing or anything, it was just surprising to see it like this. But with that said, it was a pretty good sandwich. the chicken was nicely seasoned, the toppings that came with it, which is somewhat similar to the salad I got with the beef kabob platter, was a nice accompaniment. Would definitely come here again, especially now that I got another gyro place I can go to now that the two other gyro place that was close to me closed down or moved to a farther location.

The inside is so well done, from the design and decor to the furniture and overall atmosphere. Love their large dining room, and the curved bar closer to the entryway. Visually all very nice. Recently, I dined outside for the first time ever though and that was also lovely. Patio sits among the hustle and bustle of the Third Ward. My husband and I ordered drinks first. He got the fig old fashioned-of course I tried it- and it was delightful. I'm a big martini fan so I went with their signature, made with gin, and garnished with feta-stuffed olives. I mean yesss x10. As if those olives weren't enough, we ordered the olive dish from the shareables menu, along with the whipped feta. That came with roasted grapes, pistachio, pomegranate, and mint. Talk about flavorful! They get ya on having to order an extra serving of pita bread though. From the mains we had the seared scallops with ricotta dumplings, along with the woodfire grilled hanger steak, all to share. More bold flavors, more happiness with our choices! Ended the meal with a well-made espresso martini. I've not met a dish I don't like here, and the overall dining experience is worth the price.

The Lamb Kawarma was absolutely delicious - fresh, tasty and quite filling for 2 people to share as a light dinner (we added a side salad). Getting the check delayed us a little, as our server disappeared and no one else wanted to take over her table. However, we'd definitely go again - but with a little more time to enjoy the food and ambiance.

We ordered the appetizer platter; which allowed us to choose three apps two try. My friend and I chose the falafel, grape leaves, and baba ghonush (which is served with 8 triangle pieces of pita bread). I got the kofte special wrap and my friend got the beef kebab wrap. Everything we got was amazing! The wrap was also nicely toasted on the outside, which gave it such an amazing texture. The combination of the char-grilled kofta with the vegetables inside was so good! Just thinking of it makes me want to go and grab another one. It was not dry and was honestly pretty filling. My partner and I walked in planning to grab nothing more than a coffee and bakery, but thanks to the bartender, Kimberly, we ended up staying and having the brunch special. Honestly, we are so glad we did. From the moment we sat down, she pulled us into an unexpectedly engaging, genuinely thoughtful conversation. Not the usual run-of-the-mill small talk, but real, intellectual back-and-forth that made us feel like we were catching up with an old friend. What stood out even more was how highly she spoke of the owners and her coworkers. You could tell she wasn't just reciting lines-she truly respects the people she works with and for, and that kind of pride shows in the atmosphere of the whole place. And yes, through some amazing visual descriptions, she convinced us - two guys who were only stopping for caffeine and sweets - to order brunch. Zero regrets. Her enthusiasm was contagious, and the food absolutely lived up to her hype. A memorable experience from start to finish. It is a small family owned business, and mother cooks all the food. It's only been a month since they moved here from Layton, so they don't have a sign yet, but just go in to the Rayan super market, and navigate yourself to the back of the building. They do have a table off to the side inside the market if you're in a pinch and need to eat there, but I'd recommend taking the food to go. The family is friendly, and if you aren't too familiar with Mediterranean food, they will help you navigate their menu items. They have 2 types of rice. One is a smoked rice (first time I tried it, and it was good!), and the other one is cinnamon. I didn't care for the latter, but the smoked rice was delicious. I was only going to try a bite or two, but I ended up kicking myself off of keto and ate a whole bowl. Chicken special - with rice and salad Salad was a small portion of very fresh lettuce, tomato and cucumber in light oil dressing. Chicken was a bit dry for my taste. They did have the chicken in a warmer plate (like the buffet style) and it must have been sitting there a while. The flavors were good, but the dryness was disappointing. The menu says "half chicken", but we got 2 pieces of thigh+drum. In a way that's good, cuz any breast meat would have been so much more dry. Lamb special - with rice and salad We ordered the cinnamon rice for this dish and the smoked one for the chicken dish. Like I said, the smoked rice was better for my palate. The lamb was delicious. It was falling off the bones, but it wasn't dry. We got 3 large chunks of lamb with bone and one little piece boneless. In both plates, our server piled the rice so high! I hope they don't go out of business giving so much rice! But I'm not complaining. Overall, the meal was delicious and I would definitely go again. We've enjoyed "sip and paints" here, New Year's Eve, when they offered brunch with crepes, and frequented when they had their vegetarian lunch buffet. Unfortunately, things have changed. 1. Atmosphere The décor hasn't changed. Still sleek, dimly lit, and romantic. The bathroom water wasn't working, and staff seemed aware of it when we mentioned it. How is that sanitary or up to code? Several of the chairs brought to our table were also broken, with bent legs a clear safety issue. It's typically packed on a Saturday like a dance club but it was nearly empty on a Saturday night which may be a reflection of our experience. 2. Service Our waitress was kind and attentive despite handling a large group, but the busboy was unprofessional. He started clearing plates while people were still eating and even asked my husband to reach across the table to hand over other guests' dishes. It made us feel rushed, even though the place wasn't busy. 3. Food My chicken shawarma was greasy, hard, sour, and unseasoned, almost as if the meat had gone bad. The potato balls were cut open which I've never seen and underwhelming. My husband and son's wings were over fried and tough, the spinach artichoke dip was clumpy and poorly blended, and others said the lamb chops were "okay." Honestly, the best thing I ate that night was the pita bread. 4. Overall Experience This used to be our go to for birthdays, Brady Street drag show viewing, and happy hour, but it's gone downhill. Between the sanitation issues, broken furniture, food quality, and rushed service, it no longer feels like "our spot". SO TO ANSWER YOUR QUESTION.... This was hard to write because I have so many great memories here and I wanted the experience to be better. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Our server, Adam, was quick and attentive. He was funny, suggested items for us to try, and was very tentative of our friend's food allergy. Then we ordered the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs (comes with two pieces), Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushrooms, Cappelletti, Slow-braised Bison Cheek, Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish), and the Wood-fired Bavette Steak. Where do I begin? First off, everything was fantastic! Delicious, creative, and memorable. Some dishes even had us ordering seconds! First the Chili Crisp Deviled Eggs: so creamy! We ended up ordering another plate of them (four orders) because one wasn't enough for the four of us. The Crispy Thai-Style Oyster Mushroom: insanely seasoned! It was crispy and the kick of the Thai chili peppers, made it our tables favorite (we ordered another plate of this)! The bits of crunch rice mixed in was also a pleasant surprise. The bits of green beans and cucumber was a nice way to cool the kick of the spices. The Slow-braised Bison Cheek: It was very interesting. Very soft and when paired with the polenta cake, mozzarella, and carrot, it tasted amazing. Cha Ca La Vong (Catfish): Also very interesting. It tastes very similar to a Vietnamese catfish soup! The pineapple fish sauce paired amazing with the glass noodles. The only complaint I have about this dish, was that the glass noodles weren't fully cooked, so they were a bit hard. The Wood-fired Bavette Steak: My god, this was amazing! It was perfectly cooked, the dark chocolate bordelaise paired with the mushrooms and steak was incredible. Like I said, everything was amazing! Our table was blown away with the creativity and quality of the food. The service was amazing, everyone was very sweet and helpful. The atmosphere was lovely and quirky. It was fun spotting all the duck decorations. Honestly, cannot rave enough about this place, I look forward to the next time I visit!
