We had a 5:30pm reservation for 5 on Christmas Day at 5:30pm before a trip to a comedy show. Sinbad Restaurant really deserves special recognition. I've been here a few times before and it was one of the few places that wasn't packed on Christmas Day. It should be. Prepared in a unique style different from a lot of the traditional Mediterranean options. It truly is a culinary adventure. We started out with zucchini pancakes and falafels for appetizers. The Kafta Iraq Kebab was the popular choice with others getting lamb shanks. I chose bulgar and lentil soup for the 2 sides. Delicious meal for the holidays and nice atmosphere for socializing and being able to hear each other. read more

Order some food from this place to get some late night bites. The food is pretty decent but the portions were tiny for the amount of money spent. Not really good value. This is the amount of fries I got with my order. And there was very little protein in my wrap read more

Managed poorly this store is garbage. Management won't take responsibility and when you're upset the goto response is "we can invite you back" wtf is that? Invite me back to be disappointed? Invite me back to spend money on microwave frozen food? The spaghetti doesn't even stay long because it's frozen I imagine bags of plastic with food frozen inside and then boiled. Fucking gross. . OG I can invite you to be a better restaurant! Do you remember what that is? A place that cooks yummy food. A res-taur-rant. I can invite you back. Fuck off read more

We had chicken shishka bab and lamb/beef kebab. The good didn't taste good at all: overcooked, dry, burned veggies. Portions are very small for the price. But the worst part was that I got violently sick at night with horrible food poisoning. read more

TLDR: Mediterranean at it best. Fine dining with a specialty in fresh fish and authentic middle eastern cuisine. Impeccable service. __________________ This was our first experience at Sinbad's. We were invited by friends so this review will not reflect any pricing. Our friends preordered our dinner by phone. They called about 30 minutes before so that the dinner would be ready when we arrived. They order 2 house salads, 2 lentil soups, 3 whole fish dinners, and one whole chicken, all main dishes were served bulgar and pita. When we arrived our table was ready for us and the salads were preset along with 4 glasses of water and a glass of wine. From then on, the courses kept coming. Soup and Pita and our main courses. The service could not have been any better. I had the chicken and the others had the fish. The presentations were amazing and the food was light and delicious. Please check out the photos. I have never seen chicken served this way before. The decor had whimsical art painted on the walls along with with white tablecloths on the tables. An interesting combination of fun yet elegant. I toured the back of the house and was surprised to find a full middle eastern grocery store in the kitchen and continuing through another set of doors. Overall: This is a unique find in Boca Raton and worth the experience. Check it out, you won't be disappointed. read more

What a FABULOUS off the beaten path find!!! We were invited for dinner by close friends and instead of eating at home they decided to take us out. They asked if we liked fish, chicken and salad. We said yes to all. They called their buddies at Sinbad and put in an order. About 30 minutes later we drove a few miles from their home to a small strip center just north of Glades Road. If you are not from this area, my guess is you would never knew it was here. (We sure didn't) We came in to our table set with white table cloths and the owners waiting to seat us and serve us. Our friends were greeted like family and we were all treated royaly. The service was great, but the food was even better. The food is Middle Eastern. 3 of us had whole fish which was absolutely delicious. 1 of us had the chicken. We also shared 2 salads and had coucus with our main dish. There are numerous areas in the restaurant and outside to chill. Hookahs are available and so is tea and desserts. Behind the restaurant there is a shop with Middle Eastern goodies. A great find! Give them a try when in the area. read more

Been here twice and this is my new choice for Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food. Appetizer sampler with substitutes available is my go to dish. The Orphans 4 + Aunt E decided in trying out the Sinbad Restaurant for an early dinner so we could then watch the UFC Heavyweight Championship on PPV! I had been here when it first opened and we came for a dinner buffet and at that time was not that impressed. This time was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant was neat and the decor was nice, As we made reservations we were seated immediately and our server was very attentive and polite. We started with 3 appetizers the Hummus, Felafel, and Babaganoush, which was served with warm pita bread and they were all deelish. For our main course we ordered a Veggie Pancake, Lamb and Chicken Kebabs and Rick and me had the Lamb Shanks. All our meals were very tasty and the portions were very decent and the price was not exorbitant. Overall we had an enjoyable evening and would most definitely be back! read more

Good food & service. The food is very authentic and as good as it gets for middle eastern food.

Came here for the first time with my family and our friends and we were seated outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. We were given 6-7 menus to share between 15 people. Not a big deal, I quickly glanced over the menu to see what I wanted to order and noticed that a good portion of the menu was over priced. I ordered the lamb shish kebabs with a side of bulgar and an extra side of the shepherd salad with no onions and they added pomegranate seeds in it to add a little bit of crunch. It was delicious and I ate the whole thing and took the rest of my dinner home with me. I'll be back to try other things on their menu next time I'm in the Boca area. read more

The stars are only for the people there. They are very nice, but food wasn't good. Very bland and had a strong odor. They have a great halal/small grocery shop inside with some various Arab necessities. They do sell hookah flavor and coals. I wouldn't come back to eat but I would come back to shop. If I could split the review to separate the restaurant from the store I'd give the store a solid 4 stars. read more

Sinbad Restaurant & Cafe - Family Mix Grill Platter - Mediterranean Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

This place is hands down the best middle eastern restaurant in Boca Raton. There is simply no comparison to the standard of service Mr. Ammar insists on for his guests. We had the roasted fish and trust a lifelong offshore angler and self proclaimed fish snob, this was one of the freshest and best preparations I'd ever had. He uses a special blend of spices then hangs the fish in a tandoori style oven to obtain a perfect roast 360 degrees around the butterflied fish. Absolutely amazing! That's to say nothing about the hummus, baba ganoush and various other homemade salads. Truly a culinary experience far above the modest location. Treat yourself and your family and try this place out. I've already been back twice since the first time! read more

I stopped by this place to have some Middle Eastern food but unfortunately we stood there for about 10 minutes and nobody approached us. The place was empty except for two people smoking hookah. This place is absolutely delicious and everything you could ask for at a middle eastern cuisine. The service is IMMEDIATE, the food is served so quickly and always fresh and yummy. They offer a variety of options on the menu, and trust me, it's all yummy. The food, the drinks, the linked grocery store, the service, the ambiance of the place. Sinbad is my favorite local middle eastern restaurant I've been to so far...! They serve Iraqi food in the restaurant as far as I know and they also have a cute mini store attached to the restaurant where u can find almost anything middle Eastern's have at their house. In the store they have these thick long breads they make fresh daily and are great with almost anything. They kind of look like pitta but are called TAFTOON bread. The food: Their lentil soup is really good with just the right amount of spices. I've tried the Shish kabab and kufteh kabab which come with mixed rice and a side of tziki sauce. They also have hookahs which I prefer the Sex on the beach flavor. read more

If Yelp was America's got talent and I'm a judge, this place would get a golden buzzer. I know what you' re thinking, "is it that good?". Yes it is. The place is in a shopping center and the sign outside is kind of small in size and probably won't make it easy to see from the road. Parking is self parking, free and there is a plenty of parking. Was there on a weekday afternoon and there were plenty of open tables and no reservations needed. Not sure if that's the case for dinner. The waiter was very welcoming and professional, he received us and seated us with a smile. The place is cozy and fun at the same time from the inside, the walls has artists and comedy scenes from the Arabic classic and modern culture. The menu is pretty interesting, it had almost everything you would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. The Iraqi kitchen is what shines in their menu. If you've never had it, it's a must. Iraqi food has a very distinct flavor that would instantly make you fall in love. I had the Masguof Fish, its a river fish that gets opened from the back grilled to perfection. It tasted 100% authentic. Hookah is another thing that they serve on the menu if you're a fan. The place has a door to a little grocery store from the side. The owner greeted us and asked about our experience. This place is as real, authentic and as close as it could be to having a meal in the middle east. After some amazing Tea and Baklava, it was a wrap but will definitely be going back to there. read more

Sinbad Restaurant & Cafe - Fish grilled the Iraqi way (Masguf) - Mediterranean Near Me - Boca Raton, Florida

Good food for an Arabic restaurant that specializes in Iraqi cuisine! The owner himself is from Iraq. After a 5-hour drive to Boca, I was in need of a big meal to satisfy my hunger, and Sinbad (or really Sindibad) really delivered. It's a small restaurant attached to a supermarket that sells -you guessed it- Arabic products. I arrived with a big party of at least 20- we were loud, hungry, and indecisive- but that didn't stop our waiter from attending to us. In terms of service, I would say he did okay. Sometimes he would only respond to one side of the table and forget about the needs of the other, but I'm certain it's because of the large party size. The kitchen was slow, and some people's food arrived just as others were finishing theirs. That's my only con, and why I subtracted from what would've been a 5-star experience. The food comes in large amounts- you've been warned! It's good, rich in flavor, and will surely make you satisfied. It was a worthwhile wait. Visit this place while you can, and be prepared to leave with a food coma. read more
