Went here while visiting family in Florida They accommodated us and we were a party of 10 and they were hosting a private party inside the restaurant Set up some tables outside on the side of the restaurant its located in a strip mall so we sat in the parking lot. We didn't care we were hungry and a large party and it was late already. They had items on menu that was not available because of the party like tandoori chciken But we still had some good selections to choose from The grilled combo selection of different meats were good as was the chciken kabob and chciken schwarma Lentil soup as appitizer was delicious as was the bacliva that was sandwiched with vanilla ice cream. They called about 30 minutes before so that the dinner would be ready when we arrived. They order 2 house salads, 2 lentil soups, 3 whole fish dinners, and one whole chicken, all main dishes were served bulgar and pita. When we arrived our table was ready for us and the salads were preset along with 4 glasses of water and a glass of wine. From then on, the courses kept coming. Soup and Pita and our main courses. The service could not have been any better. I had the chicken and the others had the fish. The presentations were amazing and the food was light and delicious. Please check out the photos. I have never seen chicken served this way before. The decor had whimsical art painted on the walls along with with white tablecloths on the tables. An interesting combination of fun yet elegant. What a FABULOUS off the beaten path find!!! We were invited for dinner by close friends and instead of eating at home they decided to take us out. They asked if we liked fish, chicken and salad. We said yes to all. They called their buddies at Sinbad and put in an order. About 30 minutes later we drove a few miles from their home to a small strip center just north of Glades Road. If you are not from this area, my guess is you would never knew it was here. (We sure didn't) We came in to our table set with white table cloths and the owners waiting to seat us and serve us. Our friends were greeted like family and we were all treated royaly. The service was great, but the food was even better. The food is Middle Eastern. 3 of us had whole fish which was absolutely delicious. 1 of us had the chicken. We also shared 2 salads and had coucus with our main dish. There are numerous areas in the restaurant and outside to chill. Hookahs are available and so is tea and desserts. Behind the restaurant there is a shop with Middle Eastern goodies. A great find! I had been here when it first opened and we came for a dinner buffet and at that time was not that impressed. This time was a very pleasant experience. The restaurant was neat and the decor was nice, As we made reservations we were seated immediately and our server was very attentive and polite. We started with 3 appetizers the Hummus, Felafel, and Babaganoush, which was served with warm pita bread and they were all deelish. For our main course we ordered a Veggie Pancake, Lamb and Chicken Kebabs and Rick and me had the Lamb Shanks. Came here for the first time with my family and our friends and we were seated outside to enjoy the beautiful weather. We were given 6-7 menus to share between 15 people. Not a big deal, I quickly glanced over the menu to see what I wanted to order and noticed that a good portion of the menu was over priced. I ordered the lamb shish kebabs with a side of bulgar and an extra side of the shepherd salad with no onions and they added pomegranate seeds in it to add a little bit of crunch. We had the roasted fish and trust a lifelong offshore angler and self proclaimed fish snob, this was one of the freshest and best preparations I'd ever had. He uses a special blend of spices then hangs the fish in a tandoori style oven to obtain a perfect roast 360 degrees around the butterflied fish. Absolutely amazing! That's to say nothing about the hummus, baba ganoush and various other homemade salads. Truly a culinary experience far above the modest location. They have a great halal/small grocery shop inside with some various Arab necessities. They do sell hookah flavor and coals. I wouldn't come back to eat but I would come back to shop. They serve Iraqi food in the restaurant as far as I know and they also have a cute mini store attached to the restaurant where u can find almost anything middle Eastern's have at their house. In the store they have these thick long breads they make fresh daily and are great with almost anything. They kind of look like pitta but are called TAFTOON bread. The food: Their lentil soup is really good with just the right amount of spices. I've tried the Shish kabab and kufteh kabab which come with mixed rice and a side of tziki sauce. The menu is pretty interesting, it had almost everything you would expect from a Mediterranean restaurant. The Iraqi kitchen is what shines in their menu. If you've never had it, it's a must. Iraqi food has a very distinct flavor that would instantly make you fall in love. I had the Masguof Fish, its a river fish that gets opened from the back grilled to perfection. After a 5-hour drive to Boca, I was in need of a big meal to satisfy my hunger, and Sinbad (or really Sindibad) really delivered. It's a small restaurant attached to a supermarket that sells -you guessed it- Arabic products. I arrived with a big party of at least 20- we were loud, hungry, and indecisive- but that didn't stop our waiter from attending to us. In terms of service, I would say he did okay. Sometimes he would only respond to one side of the table and forget about the needs of the other, but I'm certain it's because of the large party size. The kitchen was slow, and some people's food arrived just as others were finishing theirs. That's my only con, and why I subtracted from what would've been a 5-star experience.
